This place is awesome. My husband has said great things about their sliders for years so I decided I needed to check it out. I got the copper mug 1/3 pound burger with fries for $6.00. It was so reasonably priced and honestly one of the best burgers I've had in my life. My husband got the same thing and upgraded to the sweet potato fries for only $2.00. They were homemade and definitely would have cost $6.00 on their own anywhere else. Both orders came with so many fries we only ate half and took the rest home. I was looking for a good burger and found Copper Mug, a place I'd passed by many times in the past, after checking Yelp and googling 'best burger near me.' The place was packed and the lady wrapping plastic ware in napkins near the door told us to sit anywhere. We had to ask a couple at a 4 top if we could sit with them. They graciously allowed us to pull the tables apart to sit. We sat and waited 10 plus minutes for someone to wait on us, all the while the lady continued rolling napkins by the door. Finally our table mates, regulars, hailed a waitress to tell them we'd been waiting for quite some time. It's a small bar, small room - how we weren't noticed was inexplicable. Anyway, to get to the main event, the burgers arrived, looked nice, accompanied by a giant pickle. The fries were crisp, but unfortunately far from hot. The burger, while okay, was far from the best burger I'd had anywhere. A bit dried out and not exceptionally flavorful. I'd take a Culver's burger over this any day... I'd stop in again if I was in the neighborhood, but I wouldn't go out of my way. read more

I tend to forget how much I love this place, and then circumstances bring me back and I end up having a really good experience. Some of the other reviews mention slow service, but I always feel like I'm getting the right amount of attention at the right time. (Maybe it's because I tend to show a little leg?) Sometimes the flat top gets a bit backed up, but it's small. The whole place is small, in fact. That's part of the charm, and I wouldn't change any of it. My go-to is the olive burger, but I've had a few others. Every one of them has been really tasty. The sides are good, too, especially the onion rings. We have had multiple trips to this place where we couldn't get the check or been ignored by the staff. I remember a time when businesses such as this were begging for customers. Just moved to Michigan so we were looking for our new adult get away! Saw this place and thought the location was great because it shares a parking lot with a batting cages, so thought we could take the kids to the cages and watch them from the patio. First off, this is clearly a neighborhood bar. Everyone knows everyone. The waitress was horrible, she was slow , had no personality, and horrible looking hair. In fact the cook had to come out from behind the bar to help us because she disappeared. It took forever to get beers. The food. I will say the food was awesome. We all got the American burgers. There was not a single piece of food left on anyone's plates. I did go outside to smoke at one point and one of the regulars was smoking pot right next to the door! I wish I could say I would go back because the burgers were awesome but the service was just so bad. No wonder they have a help wanted sign in the window. read more

This place has been around for awhile.. Typical around the corner dive bar, good burgers, terrible service. They only have 2 employees majority of the time. 1 flipping the burgers and 1 bartender/server.. There have been times we have waited 20 minutes for our order to be taken and then after 45 min we walked out.. So my advice is, if you want to go here and actually get your order, don't go during prime time. That way you can actually get your food. stars 3 stars because they do make a good burger and stellar ranch. But the service kills the urge to come frequently. The owners obviously could care less. Just get 1 extra employee and that would be a start! PS: double check carry out orders, they forget something every time. read more

This place is teeny tiny. I have driven past it at least 20 times and never noticed it. They also have a nice outdoor patio, but we chose to sit inside due to some ominous looking clouds. The waitress was friendly and was kind enough to give us the heads up that it would take a while, maybe 45 minutes, to get our food. There was a large party outside and they had just ordered. Like I said, this place is tiny. There is one dude working the grill. We were not in a rush, so it was no biggie. We did appreciate the heads up though. Let me tell you this. In the area and yelped for a good burger joint. At first sight we said whoa, maybe not. Looked like a real dive but we said what the hell because we've discovered so many great hole-in-the-wall places the same way. Am I glad we took the chance. This place had the best burger I've ever tasted in my life. No exaggeration. Cooked to perfection and served with an enormous amount of fries. The waitress was awesome and the cook, possibly the owner, even brought the food out and socialized. The place was filled with what appeared to be a lot of locals and was extremely comfortable and relaxed. We left there and talked all the way home about coming back and bringing family and friends. I discovered this place because it's right around the corner from my home. It's a good little burger bar. The sliders are great and they have the best ranch. It's also very cheap, $2 per slider. It's your typical bar food restaurant, but I'm leaving a two star because service takes forever. The workers bust their ass, but they are very understaffed. One time we waited 45 minutes for 2 sliders and a side of fries. Another time we sat and ordered a meal, waited for 50 minutes and finally had to ask the server where our food was. She said it would be another 20-25 mins, so we left. We have also placed a few carryout orders from there, but unfortunately every time I bring it home, something is wrong. Either it's something we didn't order or they forgot an item or two. So now I make sure to check the bag before I leave the restaurant. So if you want a quick burger, you won't get anything quick here. read more

Ah, one of my favorite dives. It's tiny inside and the food can take forever to get to you. Be prepared to be there for a while, but that is exactly what I want in a place like this. The burgers, when properly cooked to temp, are to die for. But, I have had my fair share that were really overdone. That said, I still love it and keep going back! Normally to get a cheeseburger this good you have to drive at least 4 hours north and look for a dumpy old bar...but the Copper Mug is good bar food right in our own back yard. This place has history too! It's been around forever, and has always been basically the same. They're recently putting some money into renovations (including building a new outdoor deck) and they purchased the batting cages next door. Quite possibly the worst service I have ever had at any restaurant... and that's saying a lot. Yes, their burgers were great (I ordered BBQ Bacon, and it was fabulous), but I'd be hard pressed to say it was worth the NINETY MINUTE WAIT. There was only one table (a four-top) who hadn't been served by the time we walked in. Everyone else was eating already. After an hour, we simply asked for an update, and were told "She's just dressing the burgers now". THIRTY minutes later, the waitress brought out our food. It would have been fine if the restaurant were busy, or if our waitress was apologetic, or if, at least once during that entire 90 minute time frame, someone actually came to offer us refills, but since none of those things happened, we were a little peeved. We were actually getting up to leave when the waitress flagged us down to say our burgers were ready. As I said, burgers were yummy, and fairly priced. The waitress and cook couldn't have been more clueless. In fact, our waitress (who had two tables, to the other watiresses' 10), spent the entire evening standing behind the bar with her back towards us watching TV. We had to walk up to the bar to ask her for the check, and then she couldn't find it. Then she said she had no idea what we owed, and didn't know how to ring us out. I ordered Coca-Cola so they included it in the Lunch special price above and included unlimited drinks. Waitress serving time was 10 mins, And her service was friendly. She told me all the daily specials and happy hour specials. The bar offers Free Wifi (CM Public1) No password needed. There are limited plugs to charge your computer which are located to the left of the Men's Room Bathroom Door and by the Golf Video Game in the Corner. The signal is very strong where you can watch youtube or play your favorite video game while in the bar. The bar also offers: Jukebox, Keno, ATM ($2.50 Fee + your bank charges), They offer a batting cage next door which is open during the summer for an additional fee. They haven't cleaned the draft lines in at least 6 months GROSS ( supposed to be cleaned at least once a week). Certain staff friendly, but the "manager?
