Stopped in for face wax and basic manicure. For some reason she wouldn't let me have the polish color I chose and pushed me towards something else. I wouldn't agree to shellack and that noticeably upset her. This is literally the sloppiest manicure I've ever had. Lasted a day before I noticed it wasn't even and the cuticle area started to show the sloppy paint job. Face wax was no better. Felt where she missed on the way home. I have went twice. The staff is so kind, the place is clean and the prices are reasonable. I got a full set each time and they did look great. My issue is that the nails keep popping off. This place is very clean, quiet and nice. It's small and there are only a few chairs, but it's not like other places that feel like an assembly line or that have timers on the massage chairs. The workers know me, so I know how they are. I could see how someone who didn't would think they're rude but they're not. They just get nervous and they're often understaffed. They really try hard to avoid conflict so they ignore them for peace. I've been to salons where owners get in fights with customers and it's horrible. None of that here. Their prices are very good. The only negative is this not the place to go for super long elaborate trendy nails. My daughter likes to get that; they'll try but they're just not that type of place. I had one of my best experiences with a nail salon at Copperfield Nails and Tan. My toes still had some shellac on them and looked awful as they haven't been cared for since October. I refuse to return to the place that did that job because the language barrier was too much and prices were inconsistent. I happened to be scrolling Nextdoor and someone in my neighborhood asked for a good nail salon nearby. Copperfield was one that came highly recommended and I decided to try them. I called and was able to get an appointment that I chose. I arrived early and was warmly greeted and seated at a chair. I asked about the pricing "menu" and they basically have a simple pedicure and a fancier one. I'm not fond of the hot stones so I chose the cheaper option. It was $10 more for shellac, but that's what I wanted. I initially chose a color that was too sheer and the manicurist helped me choose another. Absolutely no issues with understanding my requests which is such a relief. Everything went great and my toes look fantastic! I have to mention that the massage was so very relaxing and I almost fell asleep. The establishment was clean, workers were attentive, and the finished product exceeds my expectations. The price was fabulous and now I can afford it even if I'm low on cash that month. I commented on Nextdoor that I was really pleased and the OP scheduled an appointment for herself. I have never had bad service from Copperfield Nails and tan. I have been going to this facility for over 18 to 20 years. Every technician in here is wonderful I am biased, but my person of choice is Van!! She is fantastic at what she does. Tips and shellac look tacky at least in my preference and overdone and they were expensive so we worked through dipping and the manicure was my favorite. In now just get manicures with shellac because the picture is over four weeks old, they look like they need to be filled in but nothing cracked broke or chipped, and these are my real nails. The one across the street opened I was sold on their free drinks, but all they have to show was a lot of glass on the windows and free drinks, which are watered down. The prices are horrific and the work is mediocre. Im sticking with VAN, I can't say enough about her work!!! read more

I'm a student, so I don't need the luxury spa experience however I do expect high quality looking nails. This place is perfect because I get what I'm paying for. It remains affordable because the experience isn't boujee so to speak, but I never leave disappointed which is why I keep coming back. The customer service is excellent, all of the ladies are nice and accommodating. The overall vibe inside is a good, utensils are clean, and the inside looks nice. Took my girlfriend out on a day of pampering, mani/pedi brows massage... you know, the works. The ladies here are both cute and have good small talk, they really know how to take care of their customers. One thing that stood out was the lack of odor in the place. There were no strong chemicals in the air from all the products they use, the place was well ventilated and just had a very refreshing lotion-like smell to it. Very famine, I enjoyed it. Also, they did not make me feel weird at all for going. Many of these places don't even accept men from what I hear, but at this location I was treated very well. I don't know why this place doesn't have more reviews. It seems to have steady traffic. I will say that they do a great job with nails, but their nail techs aren't very personable. Might be why they do not have many reviews. I had a good experience and I don't always want to chit chat when I'm getting my nails done, so this was a good fit. I had a regular manicure, but asked for something to make it last longer and they did a quick coat of the shellac clear polish and put me under the uv light. They didn't charge me anything extra. My nails lasted a good solid 7 days without chipping. Pretty good since my manicures usually last about 4 days. read more

Sunday visit right around opening time (12pm star for that because its open on a Sunday period). It was nice and quiet and I was sat right away. I needed a pedi/mani STAT. The staff was nice, my nail tech. was quiet which works for me because I like to zone out when I'm in the chair and SPEAKING of the the chair......... I like to attribute part of the ranking of a nail salon by how good of a massage their chairs give because that's half the joy of going.......lemme tell you, the chair was On. Point. The massage was aggressive enough to really feel like it was doing something.....no really.....it was really doing something. But I digress...... My pedi/mani turned out beautifully and my pedicure (paint) lasted for about 3 weeks and barely started to show signs of wear by the early part of week 4 (and it wasn't a shellac). The shop is nicely decorated and doesn't give off that random nail salon decor like most "up and running quick" type salons. Its a little bit of a drive from my house (and by little bit I mean within 5mi.) but I can definitely feel myself being ok with that to make my pampering visits as needed. read more

Good customer service and I would say it's a reasonable price for what you get, for preference I get gel manicure for $25. If you're looking for a luxury spa experience, this is not the place. But if you're looking for a nice and decently priced mani-pedi job then I would recommend this salon. I would recommend Amy as she is thorough and my gel manicure last for weeks. read more

Sad to say that I am very disappointed with this place. I have friends who come here often and they have Tony to do their manis and pedis. I didn't have her and unfortunately I had a bad experience. I needed a mani and pedi. I wanted a nude color for toes and nude with gold glitter on my nails. My pedi was great except for the color I wanted nude and I got a peachy color. They said they didn't have nude but when I looked at the colors, after the fact they had two rows of nude colors. My nails were a disaster. I showed her what I wanted, but they didn't have the gold I wanted so I told them no just the nude. She showed me some gold glitter and did 1 nail. After looking at it I said yes. Expecting all the nails to be the same way. Well it didn't happen. No to mention The nails aren't smooth, you can feel the glitter, and it doesn't have enough glitter. When I got done I walked over to the light and I hated my nails and the color on my toes but I didn't want to tell them to fix Bc I was done with the place. To top it off my total was $65 and they wouldn't give me a discount. I am not one to argue and make a scene at a public place so I paid my $65 and left without tips. I have been to this establishment three times, all three times I received the deluxe/spa pedicure (though I do not get my toenails painted), and all three times I have had Ven as my nail tech/pedicurist. She is amazing. And for $30, you cannot beat the value for what you get as far as treatments (paraffin, hot towels, hot stones, etc) Her leg and foot massage is worth that much alone. Shellac mani was $25 which is reasonable but I could've gone somewhere else and gotten a better job. They don't have the shellac colors in stock that they display which is odd because I had to keep choosing a different color that they actually had. I recently moved to The Cooperfield area and was looking for a new nail salon to start going to regularly. I've gotten my nails done with gel/shellac for many years now. I tried out Cooperfield nail and tan three times. Each time my experience got worse. The final time yesterday wa the last straw. The nail technician pinched me with her nails, scrapped me with the nail file, put way too much polish on my nails without cleaning up the extra on my nails, and kept rudely pushing away my hands when she was done painting. I used to go here a lot a few years ago, however over the years the service has declined in quality. Some of the girls are really sweet but most of them are very unfriendly and rush their job. I came in one morning around 10 or 11, and was told to come back in a few hours. I came back about an hour after they told me to, and I was told after about 5 minutes of already telling them what I wanted and looking at colors, that I would have to come back in about 3 hours. They have always rushed their work. They don't listen to what you want. I have asked for oval nails, and they've given me a strange rounded square shape. Every time I've gotten a pedicure there, the water is extremely hot and they walk away before I can tell them otherwise so they could change the temperature. read more

Their prices are very reasonable and all nail technicians are very polite and personable. The decor is very chic and the salon is always very clean. I recommend Van for pedicures. I wouldn't go here if you are in any type of hurry they always seem to be understaffed. I waited to get my eyebrows waxed for 25 minutes without anyone telling me how long. FINALLY I go and ask how long until I can get my eyebrows waxed, she said 5 minutes and 10 minutes later still not my turn. I was on lunch so I had to walk out and wasted my whole lunch sitting there. I have never had to make an appointment ANYWHERE for my eyebrows and it has never taken me more than 10 minutes.
