Cooperz is just a 2 minute drive from the Hamburg interchange off I-78. So not much to look at from the parking lot, but very nice inside. Staff is friendly and service was quick. I really enjoyed the pirogies, and their famous brew daddy chicken sandwich with a touch of hot honey. Loved it. It came with a side of home made creamy coleslaw. Finished with a piece of carrot cake. As a beer snob, I have to say I liked the two beers I tried. I rated both a 3.75 out of 5 on untappd. I will definitely come back when in the area.

Best kept secret in Hamburg,PA. Cozy craft beer pub. Serving up a small beer menu along with a few handcrafted cocktails. Great selection on appetizers along with plenty of other delicious choices from soups , salads, to burgers to wings and flatbreads and a few select entrees. We stopped in on Friday night, seated quickly since it was before the main dinner rush. Waitress ran through the specials and changes on the menu since some items were switched up for the fall season. We started with a few cocktails - rum and coke & and old fashioned. Very good for the price. For appetizer we chose the Bavarian house made pretzel. It's massive , definitely could feed 4. It was cooked perfectly, plenty of crispy buttery goodness! Beer cheese and some grainy mustard goes perfectly with the pretzel. Wife and I both chose the Copperz house burger - which you could build yourself with endless combinations. Very juicy , thick burger cooked perfectly to mid well. The burgers are paired with chips and pickle but you can upgrade to fries or onion rings if you choose. Definitely need to check it out if you're visiting the area!

First time here. Off street parking. Small outside dining area. Basic menu typical of brewpubs. Hubs had the mexican lager. Said it was a bit lighter than a Modelo. I had mozzarella sticks. They were good but I feel that $9 is a bit pricey - compared to arby's for $5.39.....just saying. Hubs got pork nachos. They did not skimp on the pork - they are a meal on their own. The undercooked lump of bacon was a bit disappointing and he would have liked a bit more salsa or pico. They were covered with beer cheese. He said they were definitely smokey and more of a bbq nacho than mexican. He also got the BBQ pork flatbread. Again definitely didn't skimp on the pork. Decent flavor. I got the mushroom swiss burger with a side of coleslaw. The burger was cooked to order and was pretty good. I only faintly tasted the horseradish sauce on my next to last bite. The coleslaw was fresh but had no vinegar bite. It was also room temp. For $15.50 the side could have been a bit bigger or they could have offered a small handful of chips with the small scoop of slaw. Lots of outlets for plugging in around the restaurant. At the bar there are outlets to charge your device at about every other seat. Small outside seating area with picnic benches. Waitstaff was ok. Our waitress was a bit curt the other waitress seemed very pleasant. Overall our bill was $59 before tip - for pub food and one drink. I expect to pay more in today's economy, I just feel the little things added up to not make it worth it for us.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch this past Sunday as we were looking for something different to try. We walked into a very clean, tee establishment, and we were greeted by our waitress Kim. She was absolutely wonderful asking if it was our first visit there and giving us a thorough rundown of the menu and specials. It was nice to get actual recommendations when I asked instead of the usual "everything's good". We shared a flask of the cocktail of the day and as an appetizer, the giant hot pretzel with mustard and beer cheese that was easily big enough for four people. We each ordered a different type of burger, which came out in a timely manner and was a good quality beef patty, perfectly dressed on a nice brioche roll. I love that they put the onion and sauce on the bottom. I'll definitely be back!

Stopped for lunch quick while was passing through the area. Good food fast service and fair price. Place was nice and clean.

Pretty cool little spot. The beer was good and the recommended pretzel was great. Now, if only the first date there had been better

I'd like to consider myself a craft beer enthusiast and being a Hamburg resident I was excited for the arrival of another brewery. Inside it is a beautiful brewery with a one of a kind bar top. The staff were extremely inviting and encouraged tasting of what was on tap. I sampled the four house drafts, the West Coast IPAA what is my favorite. The other three options (Stout, Rye and Pale Ale) were in my opinion just OK. I did not try any of the food but browsed the menu. It was basic bar food and appetizers. I hope in the future they expand the menu and add some vegetarian options as well as a few more house drafts.

Food so good, we brought the leftovers home!

A visit to the brewery provides fresh pours of the classics as well as a host of specialty brews (e.g., bourbon barrel-aged Mad Elf Grand Cru, which is nothing short of magical). Many of these brews are high-octane. Handily, Troegs also serves food - and it's not the typical compliment of fried bar nibbles. The menu offers a wide and changing variety of dishes of all sizes that are damn near gourmet (e.g., braised short rib, duck confit, crab lasagna). The Bavarian pretzels with beer cheese is an obvious must. And I like the way they do payment. After you sit down, a member of the wait staff will find you, take your name, credit card, and (first) beer order, after which you can just give your name to the bar or snack bar and they will add order(s) to your tab. Also, epic gift shop (that sells beer and all related things).

You give a credit card to your server and that opens the tab. You go to the "snack" counter to order but drinks are brought by a server. Water is self service. After you place your order you get an alarm square (like Panera) and then you pick up your food and silverware and water. Two of us ordered the BBQ brisket sandwich. It came with cole slaw and Bbq sauce and a side of fries. Dining partner really liked the brisket and said it was so tender. I asked for the bbq sauce on the side and I'm glad I did because it was a vinegar base sauce. I didn't like it at all. I found the brisket to be a little too fatty and not well seasoned. The slaw in the sandwich wasn't seasoned either. I was disappointed. Both of us thought the fries were meh. Not hot enough and not crispy. Mine were kind of soggy. Diner 3 got grilled cheese. It was a sandwich in thick bread and came with a side of marinara sauce. She said the sandwich was good. Diner 4 got the Mediterranean plate. Hummus, tabuli, zucchini fritters and tahini. She graciously offered me tastes. The tabuli was really good and the zucchini was prepared like felafel. They were ok. The pita triangles looked good. I didn't try anything else. The other diners all ordered sodas which came with twist off caps in small bottles. They liked the sodas. Overall, the food was ok. There is a gift shop with a variety of merchandise and lots of beer for sale. I asked if the beers and 'cocktails' were available as singles rather than 6 packs. And I was offered a taste. I chose the freaky fruity cherry limeade cocktail. It had too much of the taste of hops for me. The server said it's not made with hops but on the same equipment and although it was tasty, I couldn't get past the taste if hops. Not something I like. The place is nice looking, people were very nice, the menu just didn't work for me.

My girlfriend, 11-year-old son and I came in for dinner on a Sunday after skiing in the Poconos all day. Parking can be tricky but we lucked out with street parking right around the corner. We tried the Red Ale Eddy (good) and the Winter Dreamz (very good). I might have bought a 4 or 6 pack of this one to bring home with us, but their to go fridge for beers was completely empty. For food, we both got a smashburger, hers with a side salad and mine with house-cut fries. I thought the fries were good but the smashburger was incredibly disappointing. Dry and tasteless. My son got the margherita pizza and said it was ok. The section of tables at the front seemed to be shortstaffed as the tables around us remained unbussed for our entire time there. Nothing like staring at a table full of messy dishes to set the mood. It took awhile to get the waters we asked for and to flag our waitress down to ask for a second drink. I retired from drinking a long time ago, and I discovered that they make one heck of a "virgin Mary"! (a bloody Mary without the alcohol. ) Rich and tangy. I asked for just a small splash of Tabasco in it, and he got it just right. It was Amazing. I'm sorry I forgot to get a picture of the drink. For food, I started with the goat cheese, strawberry salad. Spinach, strawberries, almonds, goat cheese, and red onion, with a poppyseed vinaigrette. I ordered the "starter" portion, and it was huge! The spinach, strawberries, and onion were very fresh, I loved the almonds, the goat cheese was creamy, and had a fantastic Tang to it, and the poppyseed vinaigrette was creamy and delicious. I also ordered a cup of the gumbo, and it was also a very decent sized portion. The rice was just the right texture, it was rich, and it had just a little bit of a zip to it. Very, very good. I was pretty much stuffed from dinner, but I had to try the caramel croissant bread pudding for dessert. That too, was a very decent sized portion, the bread pudding was very savory, and the ice cream and caramel just played so perfectly off of it. This was an absolutely fantastic meal. It was a great evening. Everybody who worked there, especially the bartenders and servers, were beyond friendly and helpful. Also, the prices on the menu are very reasonable. I would like to come back to either here, or one of their other stores. Thank you!

I had made a reservation, which made it easy for us to come in and grab a seat. We came in at 7:30pm and it was busy but not crowded. Overall, I would say that the food is decently good for the most part, however the kitchen and service was a bit wild. If I remember correctly from the previous year that I was here, the service was really slow, but last year it was crowed and packed. So I had thought it would've been because how busy the restaurant was....however, coming back again, I would say that they're just slow. Period. Other than our orders, things just kept getting messed up again and again. One thing that's confusing is that the on-line allegory menu is NOT consistent with what they tell you IN PERSON for the allergy alerts. All that to say, things that didn't have egg or dairy allergy (for my child) on-line had allergies when asked in person....confusing. But we had ordered food based off of the on-line menu for it to come back and say it had an allergy...so we changed our order. The apps and the kids food came out first, but the first order still came out and then we sent it back. Then the new order came "rushed" (but 15 min later) incorrectly AGAIN, and "rushed" for us to finally get our order for our kid only for it to come out incorrectly AGAIN. So it only took FOUR times and the communication wasn't there. Super frustrating at 8:30pm waiting for my kid to eat. WILD times (also nothing was done to mitigate this chaos). We had also asked for our broccoli to NOT be soggy but..,you guess it, it arrived soggy and we've been through so many back and fourth we didn't bring it up As for our food when we finally got it 45 - 50 min later.... Our main course adult meals were the pub burger with fries and Baja fish tacos with salad. The burger was pretty good, not dry but juicy and flavorful. The pretzel bun was decent, slightly better than Costcos, and the combo of the flavors were pretty good! Overall, solid burger with good flavors 4/5! Their fries in general are pretty lame, not crunchy and little flaccid and soft, not seasoned well either. Just meh, 2.5/5 The fish tacos were actually good, the fish was battered well with a great crisp and decent amount of fish inside and the sauce and toppings made it great. I probably could've gotten an extra one added to it as they were a little smaller in portion. Overall 4/5! The side salad was a little lame. Normal salad, 3/5. We got two appetizers the Philly cheesesteak rolls and pretzel sticks. Both were good! The cheesesteak rolls had a good crunch to it and decent amount of meat inside, I'd pair with the white sauce more than the red sauce but both kind of worked. 4/5! The pretzel sticks were good! The cheese and the mustard (a bit on the stronger mustard side) paired well with them. Pretzels were soft and had good amount of salt on them. 3.5/5 Overall, the food is good and have some good options, but with the service and how SLOW and how much of a headache the back and fourth is the orders were, I'm honestly not sure if it's worth the hassle for the food. And there was no FOH or anyone apologizing or comping anything. Kind of disappointing tbh.
