So I had the Sabrina Ricotta Ravioli (my name is also Sabrina so I had to get it lol) it was like 5 pieces of ravioli and it was OK wasn't anything to be hype about honestly.. the breads that came was so cute warm and small and toasty. Came with some olive oil which was great!!!. Also got some garlic bread AMAZING and the waitress gave us some slices of mozzarella for the bread YUM!! . I got a cosmo which was a lemony flavor so good! Ambiance very cozy and nice and chill. For dessert got some moscato very good and grandmas cheesecake which wasn't all that honestly. The texture was nice and creamy but flavor wise I've tasted better. Presentation was great for all plates (Bread Basket). Service was perfect couldn't ask for anything better. Really enjoyed this place! Came in for date night with my boyfriend prior to seeing a movie at the AMC Kips Bay. The restaurant is really cozy and has a nice homey interior. I really enjoyed sitting there. The food was REALLY good. I ordered Chicken Parm and my boyfriend got the Tortellini which he loved. The parm was really cheesy and crispy, and the chicken was juicy which normally is hard to find for parm. Side of spaghetti was also very good, though I asked them to make the sauce a little spicy but it was not. Lost one star because I had to ask for the free bread basket, they didn't give it to us until we asked! Otherwise service was good. Would certainly return. read more

Coppola is a Italian restaurant among the sea of Indian restaurants in Gramercy/Murray Hill area. The servers were amazing and the food was solid. I was here for a meeting and lecture on a rainy night. We got to sit in the spacious downstairs dining room, which was arranged for the lecturer. The staff was quick to get our drinks, fill our orders, make sure we were comfortable and that we wouldn't trip on the wires. The waiters were charming and funny. You felt flattered without feeling creeped out. The girls at my table giggled at their jokes. I ordered the calamari, jumbo shrimp parmigiana and the cheesecake. The calamari was crispy and perfectly cooked, but a bit oily. I was hungry after the lecture that I devoured the whole dinner plate, plus the crumbs. Too bad, because I was too full to fully enjoy the jumbo shrimp and the linguine. The linguine was cooked well done, with a great tomato sauce. Some of the shrimp was deveined, others were not. Very nice place! After not going to Italian for a while, this place did not disappoint. The wine and food selection is great. They have many salads, snacks, and entry options are great. Prices are within normal limit. You can pick and choose if you care. We ordered chefs specials and those were on a pricey side but both were worthy. Visiting NYC over Memorial Day weekend, my buddy whose work with the FDNY takes him throughout the city and seems to know every restaurant in the five boroughs, recommended we go here after the Mets game was rained out. My son joined us, too. It was truly an exceptional meal. The atmosphere is inviting and quiet. While the dining area was only about half-full, with other parties next to us on two sides, it felt and sounded like we were the only ones in the place. Partitions in place due to the pandemic helped to deaden conversations between adjacent tables, but in no way were obtrusive. We were able to hear ourselves and chat without feeling like we were bothering others. The wait staff was enormously professional and efficient. Water glasses were filled at the right time without asking. Just when we wondered when the next course would arrive, plates would appear. The complementary bruschetta was rich and bright, our calamari exceedingly fresh, and entrees delicious! I had Mama's Ragu, a Sunday special I'm told, which could easily feed two people with an enormous meatball, house-made sausage, small veal hock, and bracciole with rigatoni, all delicately covered in the thick sauce in which the meats braised. Heaven! My son and buddy were equally happy with the quality of their meals. With my daughter attending medical school a few blocks away, I intend to visit Coppola's again with her the next time I'm in NY. I highly recommend you do so, too! read more

Love coming here during lunch and sometimes dinner! The chicken parm is the only thing I had on their menu and I always enjoy it. The pasta though is meh, sauce kind of tastes cheap. I've seen many reviews on their pasta, but the chicken parm side pasta is definitely not it. Service is awesome and the bathroom is nice and big! It's a great place. Spent 5 nights in NYC recently and ordered takeout/delivery from Coppola's twice. The food is that good! It's like high end Italian food at very reasonable prices. I tried the chicken milanese both times. It came with 2 really big pieces of chicken, a big side salad and a side of vegi's/potato's too (lots of food). They allowed me to sub the vegi/potato's on the second delivery for a side of pasta. OMG!!! That side of pasta was amazeballs! Crazy good! It was spaghetti with a homemade tasting marinara. Ask for a big side of lemon to put on the chicken (you can thank me later for this suggestion). I'd say you could split this entree along with a pasta fagioli soup and LOTS of Parmesan cheese to put in the soup. Oh yeah! We ordered the soup and it was great too! I could only eat half my dinner both nights. Cesar Q. had penne ala vodka with chicken one night and said how great it was. Second time around he had the chicken francese. Both nights he too had the soup. Oh! Our orders also came with a great selection of bread. Our friend who stopped by ordered the margherita pizza. It was enough for 4 but alas, he didn't share and ate the entire pie! 8-) I guess we can assume he enjoyed his dinner too! While we didn't dine in, the delivery was in under an hour. The food was hot and quality. It's obvious that this restaurant takes pride in what they do. Sorry we were piggy's and didn't take pics! It was the opening day post covid-19 so there was limited outside seating. Food was absolutely delicious! Cosmopolitans were piquant, as if a personification of Carrie's cocktail in Sex in the City. The black linguine with the shrimp and scallops were indescribably delectable!!! Everything was positively orgasmic to my palate! I'm so glad I got to experience it during my visit from Houston, TX. From across the street, I looked at this restaurant, looked at the food pics on Yelp and decided to give it a try. As I walked in, I was surprised at the Aura of the restaurant, it was really classy high end with a welcoming feeling. The decorations of the tables I loved, in a booth leather style, very clean, very classy and relaxed. If I want to impress someone, as I like to do sometimes, this would be the perfect place. The restaurant area has a bar, that seems just nice to see and have a few drinks. The eating area is excellent. It's a perfect setting for special place to eat with a highly Romantic feeling in it. The waitress was really, really nice to me. She saw me alone and didn't give me that puzzle look that other waitresses give me in restaurants when they see me alone. She went over the menu with me, and you know, if you want to know what are the best and most sold dishes in a place ask the waitress. She told me about the 12" Vodka pizza with chicken. I took that and it was good, 12" pizza is kind of big for me though, couldn't eat the whole thing. The pear juice was on the dot, delicious. As I looked, there is an ongoing special of 35.00 for a 3 course meal, which offers good dishes and I will have to come back and taste. I wasn't eligible to get the 10% Yelp check in discount, but the waitress was soooo nice to me, that she gave me 4 cards with a 10% off, now that's what I call, excellent customer service. :) read more

This a review of their dishonesty 1. -- I was with a friend when she was picking up food for takeout. They had a promotion for 20% if you check in or post a picture or something. She did that and the woman at the front said O sorry this doesn't apply right now and made up a BS excuse (there were no time or menu restrictions listed online). She is very persistent and the manager eventually gave in, but if you post a promotion and there are no exclusions you need to honor it. 2. I had ordered one dish takeout for myself by calling and picking up (thinking I'm being helpful so they can avoid the high delivery app fees) I go to pick it up and it's way more expensive than I though. THE MENU ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE APPARENTLY HAS "OLD PRICES". Which they wouldn't honor. Also I asked for whole wheat pasta for the small side that came with the dish and they charged $3, which is insane for a side but they also didn't tell me that was additional when and I what the pasta options were (now at some places it's not). A box of pasta costs less than $3.... The food is meh -- go support honest people and not these dishonest and rude people. (Now that it happened twice I felt compelled to write a review) read more

Very comfortable couches, romantic, good for people-watching other guests :) I got the Green Apple Salad with Breaded Chicken (baby greens, almonds, raisins, tomatoes, gorgonzola) and it was delicious! I used to be a fan. Until tonight. I ordered my usual order. Margherita Pizza, grilled eggplant parm and Cesar salad. Two out of three items were under cooked. The pizza was soggy and the eggplant slices were thick and not cooked through. I understand restaurants have off nights. I called to complain and was told the chef personally made the food himself, so they don't understand the issue. They did offer to send us new food, if we gave them back the old food. At that point I was over it, and wasn't interested in getting a new pizza. I was just turned off from Coppola's for the night. I asked if I could relieve a credit for another night and the answer was no. Bad customer service, since I legit have ordered from them 1-2 times a week for the last couple of months. They're off the list for along time and am super disappointed in the customer service. read more

Really nothing to write home about. The food isn't bad, it wasn't outstanding good to cause more people to want to review. The food could have been better... nothing was sent back to the kitchen. At the end of the day, for a place the NY post claims needs to be everywhere, it doesn't. There are other Italian restaurants that are on par/ much better. Don't get me wrong, you won't have a bad meal, I just feel like it's over hyped and could be much better. 2 notes to the staff, some extra seasoning won't hurt and ask to take plates away (people like to dip bread in sauce) The meal starts with bruschetta and bread served with olive oil. The bruschetta was made fresh and tasted pretty good. Red sangria- the fruit was cut fresh, and was mixed to perfection. Baked clams and shrimp- shrimp were a bit on the tiny side, baked clams were a normal baked clam. It was just ok. Stuffed mushrooms, these things were huge (not portobello huge) 3 extra large mushrooms, served with a nice red tomato sauce... my only problem with the dish it was a little bland, and it was it was taken away with out asking... yea the mushrooms were gone, but I wanted to dip the bread in that sauce. Seafood tagliatelle, fra diavolo style. It wasn't spicy at all. So please add some spice to it... pasta was ok, muscles clams were ok, and the scallops were good. Dessert, chocolate bomb, basically an undercooked soufflé/ lava cake. Was pretty damn good. read more
