I been bringing all my vehicles here for a while now. It's hard to find someone honest these days. I like that the owner really pays attention to you rather then brush you aside like other mechanics I been too. This is where I get my oil change (I don't trust jiffy Lube). Had an oil leak and they fixed it right away. Just an old sensor that was broken. Took my sister's car because the steering wheel was shaking and making a loud noise. Thought my sister might had hit a curved and something was bent. I was expecting to pay over 1k, but they were honest and said it was just the balance was off. They could have made more money off of us, but they didn't. So my other great stuff! read more

Ok, let me start from the beginning. Back in I think it was 2005 I needed a new transmission for my vehicle. Called around to find the best quote and it happened to be Corbin Auto. I went there and met a guy by the name of Oscar. He worked on my car, fixed the transmission and my car was running great. Now, let's fast forward to about 2010. I had not been back to this place since. But my girlfriend at the time had a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Well, the driver seat frame completely snapped off and basically the seat was no longer attached to the car. Figured I would try Corbin Auto again. Stopped by the place and instantly Oscar knew who I was and told me the car I was driving and what he had done to it. I was so impressed by that alone. Well he tried to weld the seat on and it just wouldn't work. So he took the time to find a seat that matched perfectly and was able to attach it just fine. That was great! Had no idea how this would get fixed and he did it for a very reasonable price. Now let's fast forward another 5 years. A couple weeks ago, called him on the phone because I bought a piece of junk truck off of craigslist which was a huge mistake. I couldn't get it to pass smog and it needed a lot of work. When I called, once again, Oscar knew exactly who I was. He helped me and fixed everything with the truck and made it run great. With what he did the cost was awesome!I am so happy with the work he has done. I don't know why I haven't come here more often but from now one I am going to him for everything. It is hard to trust mechanics these days but Oscar is honest, kind and truly helps you the best he can. Been coming here for over a decade. Trustworthy, hardworking team at this place. It's a small shop, but they do just about any kind of work you need. They have taken care of all my cars (Dodge, Ford, Toyota, Chevy, Saturn) over the years. Once the earnest is up my Hyundai, they will take care of this one too. This is the kind of place where they remember your name and your kid's name too. Trustworthy Auto Shop in Los Angeles... a rarity! a Gem!. I actually left my mechanic of many years for this shop!! Yep! My old mechanic sent me to this shop one time to have specialty work done on my car that they were unable to perform. Since that day several years ago, I have not returned to my old mechanic. At Corbin I was immediately taken care of so well that there was no need to go elsewhere. I surprised them, too, after they finished working on my car (having done great work) when I told them I was no longer returning to my old mechanic. And, they know cars!! Living in L.A., you already know how incredibly difficult it is to locate a truly trustworthy shop here and in the Valley. And, here they are!! And, being a woman it is infuriating when you are either spoken to as if you are unintelligent, technically inept and/or taken advantage of financially just because of your gender. There is none of that here at all! You are not spoken to as a child, nor are you condescended to. And, Oscar the owner (or one of two owners), will explain things to you perfectly simply in layman's terms, if you so desire. And, will answer all your questions. And, I always ask loads of questions so I know exactly what is going on. Best of all...They do excellent work, too!!!!! They are reliable. I cannot say enough good things about this place. And, for years I was incredibly hesitant and untrusting of So. Cal. mechanics having been burned, overpriced for work done, overpriced for work not necessary to be done, or simply been unhappy by the work completed. Corbin really cares about their customers. They will even pick you up and drop you off if you need shuttling being without transportation. They are also very malleable with scheduling, pricing, and more. They truly work with you to get your car up and running again, or simply just maintained. Not to mention, if your car needs a part--in my case sometimes locating parts on my car can be a bit difficult-- somehow they are able to locate it (speedily) when other shops around town seem unable to locate a part, except to go straight thru the dealer. Which happened this very week. An electrical part of mine burned out or shorted, I was in another part of town, had to get my car serviced, though I'd have preferred to simply go to Corbin. Only it was late in the day, and an urgent safety matter, so I went elsewhere to an "okay" shop who searched all over and could not find the part. They'd have to order it from the dealer as no aftermarket parts for my part had yet been manufactured. So, nervously I drove to Corbin, as driving was a bit of a hazard before my car could get fixed. And, sure enough, Corbin managed to locate it and for a much lower price, too. Additionally, Corbin always has a great attitude. They never cheat you. Never push you into getting things repaired that are not necessary. And, for those with a tight budget, Corbin will tell you in layman's term what is essential for you to get taken care of in the immediate moment and put off the lesser needs until later. They have an incredibly delightful attitude and know what the meaning of customer service is. Not to mention, they have actually bent over backwards to help me out with repairing my car when I was in a bind. Oscar is really funny too with a great sense of humour. But, more importantly genuinely honest. When you drop off your car you know it is in good hands with these guys who feel more like an extended family than a service shop. The above statements are all genuine and true. So, no worries about their capabilities as a repair shop. If I was a celebrity I'd even endorse them! :-) Bottom line... you are in good hands when you service your car at Corbin Automotive. Cheers! read more

Oscar is the absolute best! My car was T-boned by a hit and run driver over summer. Every bodyshop I took it to laughed in my face and insisted my poor car was totaled due to several body damage, despite the car still driving relatively fine. I needed both passenger side doors (airbags included), front bumper, hood, grill, fender replaced entirely, along with some serious damage to my alignment and suspension. Oscar, being the absolute incredible person that he is, was not only able to repair everything in less than a week, but also managed to find the same colored parts as my car. Best part? He charged me such a fair price, I couldn't believe it. I have dealt with far too many shady, unreliable mechanics and Autobody shops, and I assure you, you're in no better hands than with Oscar over at Corbin Automotive. This man is magical :) read more
