My experience at Sphere…read more A couple of years ago I took up the sport of Soccer. The doctor had just diagnosed me with Type 2 Diabetes and High Blood Pressure weighing 325lbs. This on its own should basically tell you where my journey starts. With surrounding myself around amazing people I was able to lose my first 50lbs. I was not trying to look better to say I was skinny. I just wanted off blood pressure and blood sugar meds. I started to feel a stall in my weightloss. I was healthier but I was not ready for stop my journey. I was part of a soccer league and heard a mention of Sphere. I reached out and asked. One of their members reached out to me and asked me to go try them out. I was terrified, I'm still a bigger woman I was afraid of not being able to keep up! But I told myself you've gotten this far just do it. When I walked in I was so shy! But everyone just came in for a hug. Without having done the workout yet I knew I was home. THE EXPERIENCE! ( I'm not going to call this a workout because I personally don't see it as such.) I'm not going to lie that first class had me dying. It was the hardest "workout" I had ever experienced in my life (keep in mind at this point I'm 275lbs). After leaving that class the holidays came around so I couldn't attend since I would be out of town. The coach that found me reached out and mentioned an anonymous person had gifted me their 17 day trail. I was so humbled that I had only been to their class once and someone thought of giving me this. I couldn't disappoint them! I went to as many classes as I could pushing through the pain because being there in that environment was worth it. They have SUPERB coaches! After the 17 day trail was over. I was sad, I mean who doesn't like free stuff? I saw my need and I joined the team. After about a month at sphere I landed at the goal I had been wanting for years losing 75lbs getting to 250lbs from 325lbs is surreal. Getting off medicine and most importantly REVERSING Diabetes! Honestly the only motivation you need is the motivation to get to the Pitch on time for class. After that the coaches step in and show you the POWA that you didn't know you had all along. They have quality coaches! Quality Pitch! The classes are so amazing and different and innovative. Most importantly their fearless leader is such an amazing energetic guy and you can't help but want to surround yourself around that amazing environment. I'm happy to say I've gained many teammates and built many friendships and a supportive family! My skills have improved my endurance has improved! My mentality has gone from "um no I can't do that " to "yea I'll give it a try". Sphere deserves all the support and success in the world . I'm just happy if anyone is actually is willing to read this. m happy that I am now at a 87lbs loss because of them. My health has improved drastically and I owe my love for the sport of soccer my life. Smack in the middle that's me with the cheesy smile and glasses! Small gym/studio located in a small business park. Manuela has electronic treadmill, cardio stair stepper, a recumbent cycle and a speed cycle for use, as well as a full set of dumbbells, bars, plate weights and weight machines. She also has 6 Pilate Reformer machines. The week is broken out to Pilates day or Weights/personal trainer day. If it's a Pilates day, then it's Pilates classes all day long. Same goes for weights/trainer days. On Pilates day, you are in there with up to 5 other people plus Manuela, or less. On weights/trainer days it's either, you and Manuela, or you and up to two other people and Manuela. Bottom line - small classes with personal attention. Manuela is fun, dedicated, and here to get you feeling better about yourself. I have done the Pilates Reformer classes and the personal weight training with her for now about 2 years. Last season I even had her customize some of the training to help me with some of the Enduro Mountain Bike racing I needed. We focused on a lot of balance and upper body. The results are great and I'm happy with all my progression. Note: there is no membership fee. It's pay per class - what you DO and with how many people influences the price, Manuela will explain. And...there is ZERO pressure, and very little of, supplements or powders that you "NEED" to buy. She has some ADVO Care, but the focus here is the exercise. If you need nutrition, Manuela can do that, just talk with her and she'll set you up. Call her to book your free assessment for personal training or Pilates Reformer classes. I am glad I did.
