Wish I could give it more than 5 stars!!! We got the coreanos bowl, chicken poppers, and kimchi quesadilla. The quesadilla was light on cheese but as that is not a usual ingredient in Asian food, it was probably better that way. The poppers were super crispy with a variety of sauces that complemented each other. The coreanos bowl with short rib was tender and flavorful and the sauces added a nice creaminess to the bowl. I will definitely be returning!
Came here for a quick dinner. I got the coreanos bowl with chicken. The staff was very friendly and the food came out very quick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place has cozy vibes and was able to find seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bowl tasted amazing. It was very saucy and creamy blending the 2 cuisines together. I do wish it had a little bit more spicy but overall the flavor was still pretty good.
Solid Korean lunch spot with some Mexican fusion in their quesadilla and taco menu items. Fun mix of cuisines in my opinion. It's a fast casual spot with quick service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating is somewhat limited with a few high top tables but we still managed to get a spot even around lunchtime.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered the Tteokbokki with ramen noodles as well as the shrimp fried rice. I thought both were good but not best I've ever had. The tteokbokki was pretty sweet for my taste but that's just personal preference. Centrally located in Allston!
Just tried their K-Rice Bowl with Fried Eggs and a box of their signature Korean Fried Chicken, and I'm genuinely impressed. The rice bowl was rich, savory, and beautifully balanced--topped with perfectly cooked sunny-side-up eggs and a drizzle of creamy, mildly spicy sauce that brought everything together. Comfort food at its best. The fried chicken? Unreal. Extra crispy on the outside, juicy inside, with a sticky-sweet glaze and fresh green onions adding that perfect Korean touch. Flavor-packed and addictive. Fast service, generous portions, and flavors that hit all the right notes. If you're craving Korean fusion done right, Coreano is a must.
I was really craving Korean fried chicken but it didn't have a crunch!! It definitely does the job of fast Korean food though and sometimes that's what you need - a Korean quesadilla, taco, cheesy kimchi fries, etc. Prices are reasonable. Limited seating inside but was easy to find a spot on a weekday night. Plenty of people stopping in and out (30 min dining limit) and getting take out.
We went to Coreanos for a Sunday lunch, but I have eaten here multiple times before. It is Korean-Mexican fusion, and to me, this is fusion done right! - Coreanos bowl: The star of the meal. It came in a foil bowl, packed with saucy rice and bits of meat/veggies (onions and carrots), then topped with a perfect sunny-side-up egg. The protein I got was spicy pork, but you can also choose other proteins. The yolk was still runny enough to mix in and make everything extra rich. The portion was huge. Not too spicy. It also came with miso soup with a few bits of tofu and green onion in it. - Quesadilla: filled with beef and kimchi, with two different sauces drizzled all over (one creamy, one a little spicy). A lot of meat inside! Not too spicy. - Peach limeade: a very refreshing drink, but on the sweeter side, I wish it were a bit more sour. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall: This felt like the ideal casual lunch: fast and filling. You order at a counter and they bring the food to you later, if you choose to dine in. There aren't too many seats. You need to fill your own water cup, and they have cold and warm water. The portions are generous and the food is pure comfort. Would definitely come back anytime I'm craving something saucy and satisfying.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]
I'm surprised by the great reviews on here because my wife and I were very disappointed. We got the kimchi quesadilla with spicy pork and the Coreanos bowl with beef bulgogi. Both were lacking in flavor. The pork in the quesadilla was dry and not even spicy. The beef in the bowl was sparse and mostly just sweet. I hesitate to try this place again. I think you could say this review warrants a 2.5 because it's below average, but I'm a softy and I tend to only eat at good restaurants, so they get a 3.
We just happened to walk by and decided to try it out. We were vey impressed with the food! We ordered the Coreanos Bowl, fried chicken wings in sweet soy garlic sauce, and Bulgogi Kimbap. All excellent and very fresh. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The sitting area was simple but clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was nice. Will definitely come back again.
I used to go here years ago for their bulgogi tacos, quesadilla, and kimchi fries and have never been able to find the time to go. I went the other day to get kimchi fries before work and I am so glad I did! It's a tiny spot for mostly takeout and I ordered kimchi fries with bulgogi. When I went to pickup my food they told me they accidentally made it with spicy pork so I could either keep the pork or they would remake it. They were very nice about it but I was fine with spicy pork and they ended up giving me both spicy pork and beef. I don't know why I haven't gotten these more these past few years because they are still as amazing as they were years ago. Hot fries with kimchi, bulgogi, different sauces and a runny egg on top. One of the best meals and it was $13!

I recently came across this place online and decided to get it delivered. I got the Coreanos bowl and it beat my expectations. The presentation was great even with it being delivered and the flavor was amazing. The only thing I can say is it could have had a little more meat in it. read more

Great food! This is probably the best Korean infused Mexican food I've ever had! I tried the kimchi fritas, kimchi quesadilla and the bibimbap taco. The kimchi fries were excellent! The fries were crispy and the mixture of sauces were a great combination. The quesadilla was good as well! No need to add the add ons. The melted cheese is satisfying enough with the kimchi. read more

Great small place with great food and good vibes, especially for groups of 2 and singles to eat inside. Woman at the register also brought out our food and was very nice. Free water, and free miso soup with the Coreanos bowl. The bowl itself is 9/10 -- some ingredient in it is carrying the show, I think it's the sesame oil or sauce or something. Not a lot of varied textures or veggies in the bowl, but the flavored rice and bulgogi combination is unmatched. Really delicious and filling, and it can be shared. You order and then sit yourself down so no tip might be okay, and signs say to limit sit-down time to 30 minutes, ish. Also, if you want to go bulgogi everything, just do it because the quesadilla, tacos, and bowl all still taste pretty different due to the other ingredients and varied sauces. If you've had kimchi quesadillas before, these aren't that special (7/10 -- good overall; tacos are 6.5/10). Definitely try the bowl at least once! read more
Coreanos is a fusion Korean restaurant. It is a small restaurant but the food comes out rather quickly. The people who own it are also adorable, and you can see them hustling and bustling to get your food ready. The food here is quite good, and I just love the Mexican and Korean fusion in it. Though, they also have some more traditional Korean dishes such as bibimbap and tteokbokki. +KIMCHI FRIES: Not as much kimchi-taste or as spicy as I thought but it's delicious nonetheless. I love the kimchi taste with the more mellow cheese. My friend would've wanted some meat (which is an option) but I liked it as it is. +KALBI TACO: Kind of on the expensive side for a taco but it had a good amount of meat and was really tasty. +KOREAN FRIED CHICKEN (SWEET GARLIC SOY): It was very crispy even with the sauce. Even came with pickled radish which cuts through the fried-ness and sweet sauce nicely. +/-LEMONADE: She gave us a free lemonade, which was a little on the sweet side. We mixed this with their iced tea (unsweetened) and was a great Arnold Palmer! All in all, the food here is a tasty fusion of two cultures. Would definitely love to return to try some of their other offerings! read more
Got my Korean food fix the other day at Coreanos. I will always love this spot for their Kimchi fries and Kimbap (pictured). They offer Korean fusion quick bites like korean tacos and quesadillas as well. I absolutely loved the bulgogi hand tacos-it was packed with flavor and veggies for the daily vitamins and nutrients that you need Usually their food is amazing and I look forward to their Kimchi fries every time I go but this time there was something a little disappointing with this visit. The fries weren't nearly as crispy and seems like the dish has been left to cool down for a while. Maybe it has been super busy or something but nevertheless, it satisfied my hunger. This spot isn't made for large groups of people-it's a bit small with limited seating so I'd take the food to go. Perfect for lunch, or if you're sitting at home by yourself binge watching shows on Netflix. read more
This place is freaking delicious!!! We had the chicken poppers, the fried rice with spicy pork, and two Korean tacos-bulgogi and the chicken. All were super flavorful dishes and I would highly recommend. The chicken poppers in particular were phenomenal but the only one I wouldn't order again is the chicken taco. Food: This is a cozy family owned restaurant with great korean/mexican fusion dishes that taste AMAZING. Their signature Coreanos Bowl (fried rice with choice of protein topped with an egg, coreanos sauce, and sesame seeds) is usually my go-to order. This order comes with a small bowl of miso soup. Their Tteokbokki (in the picture below) doesn't include much rice cakes, but the rice cakes are large in size, and it comes with a kimmari (fried seaweed roll stuffed with glass noodles), hard-boiled egg, fishcakes, and lots of cabbages/onions. It isn't that spicy but the hot temperature of the dish overall spikes up the heat. I'd also highly recommend their Kimchi Fritas! Their tacos and chicken poppers are dry but their coreanos sauce balances it out. Coreanos is a great place to visit for a quick lunch with friends or takeout since the food is served in an easy to go aluminum bowl. Atmosphere: Small restaurant with limited counter-top seatings. Customers come and go at a relatively fast pace. Service: Staff are mainly the family and they are very busy as the orders are made quick, easy, and fresh. read more

If you're feeling some fusion food, Coreanos is your place! I absolutely love coming here because it's fast, affordable, but most importantly, delicious! The people who run this place are super friendly and are always willing to answer your questions about anything on the menu. With it being Korean and Mexican fusion food, you get the best of both worlds. I usually get the chicken poppers, which are little fried chicken balls on top of a bed of crispy french fries, topped with creamy sauces, both sweet and spicy! Something that I can never finish because it's so filling is the Coreanos bowl. It's basically fried rice with a spicy taste behind it, with a fried egg on top. I've tried both the chicken and the beef, and both are equally delicious! Usually, places that serve chicken with the bibimbap or rice dishes tend to make it bland or dry, but Coreanos makes sure that's not the case! I've heard a lot about Coreanos from friends who frequently eat here and was really excited to give this place a try recently. It's a relatively small storefront, with tables for about 16 people. We went around 3:30pm, so it wasn't too busy and a lot of people take food to go. My boyfriend and I shared an order of the chicken poppers (bite sized pieces of fried chicken drizzled with assorted sauces on a bed of french fries) and three tacos (bulgogi beef, kalbi short rib, and spicy pork). We also got the Coreanos bowl with beef to go, which is their fried rice bowl with onions, carrots, your choice of meat, fried egg, and assorted sauces. My favorite was definitely the Coreanos bowl and he really liked the beef and short rib tacos. Coreanos serves high quality Korean/Mexican fusion food and amazing Korean flavors. It's my kind of comfort food when I'm looking for a quick bite to eat. Can't wait to be back for more! read more
I love it when Asian fusion is done right. Coreanos is a tiny restaurant that's clearly geared towards takeout, but I dined in with a friend. We ordered the coreanos bowl with beef ($9.95) and the ddukbokki ($8.95 + $2 for cheese). The coreanos bowl came with rice, bulgogi, carrots, onions, and was topped with a fried egg and sauces. The flavors all worked well together, and it had a certain smokey taste which I really enjoyed. The yolk of the egg was still runny and gave a creamy texture. The ddukbokki was not spicy, which I appreciated as I don't do well with Korean spice levels. I opted to add cheese for an extra fee, but they have other add ins available as well. There were also onions and fish cakes alongside the rice cakes, which were perfectly chewy. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at Coreanos, and I'll definitely be back to try the kimbap, quesadillas, and fries that everyone seems to be talking about. As a side note, they have free WiFi, which is great if you want to get some work done while eating. read more

Coreanos is situated on Brighton Ave, around the corner from Harvard Ave. The store itself is pretty small, with a limited number of seats (~14 seats in total). Seats are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. You order up front at the counter, and they bring the food to your table. The portioning is pretty large here for their prices, and with their hip menu, I was not surprised to find that most of their customers were students. Before heading there, I was excited about the Kimchi Fritas since a lot of the yelp reviewers raved about it, but I ended up not being a fan of it. The fried egg on top was not cooked well, the egg white was rubbery on the bottom, but a little raw on top, and the egg yolk was slightly overcooked. It also bothered me that the cheese was not really melted! Even though we also added Kalbi (extra $3) to it, overall the dish didn't wow us. (Do not get this if you hate soggy fries! They were very soggy) However, the chicken poppers and bulgogi kimbap made it up. I was really surprised at the shape of the chicken poppers, they were really round! There was just the right amount of batter/breading on the outside, it was fried well (not too greasy), and the sauce on it was delicious. We didn't realize that the chicken poppers came with fries too, so we had a ton of fries. The fries with the chicken poppers was drizzled in some sweet sauce and actually tasted better than the kimchi fritas to me. The kimbap was our favorite dish of the night! First of all, it looked very nicely rolled, and you can tell that they did not skimp on the ingredients. The amount of rice was just right (I hate kimbaps with too much rice!), and there was a generous amount of bulgogi, spinach, and carrots. Definitely get this! *I usually love fries, but I don't like the fries here. I can't put my finger on the exact reason, maybe it's the type of potato or the way of frying.... But if I come back, I'm going to avoid all the fries. read more

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!!! The food is bomb, it's a cute but small location (definitely cozier I would argue) and it's right in the heart of a bunch of other great food places and boba so I definitely recommend! I think the Ddukbokki with beef and cheese remains my favorite, although you won't go wrong with anything else!!! read more
WOW. Simply incredible. I'm always skeptical of fusion restaurants because they often end up being a disappointment. Coreanos, however, far exceeded my expectations. I really don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. I ordered a kimchi chicken quesadilla and it was phenomenal. The dish was a perfect mix of kimchi/korean flavor and the cheesy/chicken flavor in a traditional quesadilla. It was a great serving for one person. My friend go the bibimbap and it was also incredible. All of the rice dishes are huge, which means there will easily be leftovers for the next day. The only down side is there is very little seating inside (2-3 tables and 2 counter seats), so you may not be able to find a place to sit. read more

I've come here a few times and everything I've gotten has been delicious. Not a lot of seating, no frills which I love (it's not that kind of fusion restaurant). I love the chicken poppers, coreanos bowl, and tacos. Everything is so cheap you can order a few things and try a little of everything. Generous portions and each rice dish comes with miso soup! Bonus: The owner is also really nice. I ordered first. While I was waiting for my friends, he brought over a cup of water for me. It was such a nice gesture. read more

Sad that I'm giving Coreanos such a low rating. I used to come here all the time a little over a year ago and everything was so delicious - especially the rice bowls. Came back for the first time in awhile and i have to say that I didn't really like my rice bowl. I don't know what happened but there was barely any flavor in there...I hope it's because I just came at a busy time and they were rushing through orders. Server was also a little rude and impatient with me but I guess I get how it can be during rush hours. On the bright side, chicken poppers were still as good as I remembered. Might come back to give it another go - hopefully for a better experience. read more

One of many small restaurants lining Brighton Ave, Coreanos stands out with its more modern-looking, clean interior and Korean-Mexican fusion. Definitely stop by for a quick, delicious, heavy meal! I've tried their kimchi quesadilla with bulgogi beef, kimchi fries with kalbi short ribs, and the Coreanos rice bowl. Nothing stands out about the Coreanos bowl, but the kimchi quesadilla and fries were SO GOOD, especially the short ribs. I've also had the kimchi fries without a meat topping, but I'd say it was definitely worth forking out the extra $3 for the short ribs. The fried egg on the fries was an amazing addition as well. Seating is limited, but people don't stay for too long so you can wait for a table as your food gets prepared. read more
We stopped here for dinner on a Saturday night. My husband and I both got the fried kimchi rice. Food was delicious. But sooo much rice!!! We each paid over $11 dollars for our bowls. And I felt that it was not worth it. I am not used to eating so much rice for a meal. I wish it came with a side of some greens. Something that kinda would balance all that rice. Like some greens or beans or anything else besides all that rice. I was not able to taste the kimchi as very little of it was in my plate. I personally don't think it was worth the $11 I spent. Love love love this place! I don't know why I didn't come sooner. I'm all for little spots like this. Focused menu. First off, I really want to try the kimbap but that was out. I did get there 30 mins before closing though so if you go late, FYI.. what you want might not be available. Got the beef rice bowl. I'm not sure what it is but everything just blends in with the taste of the soft and not so sticky but ... who knows.. maybe the sauce and the grain of rice. Then 2 tacos... very good as well. Definitely going back to try other items on the menu. read more

So happy this place exists. Love love love the name/pun. This place hits the spot. Love how it's a fast casual restaurant, where food is good to go or to eat at the restaurant. This was one of the first Korean-Mexican fusion restaurants in Allston, and I'd have to say this is my favorite one I've had. I love the clean aesthetic and white walls. The menu isn't too overwhelming which I'm very appreciative of. I hate having to decide between so many good options. Another thing I love about this place is that it's very affordable! The food is very good and the portions are generous. I've had the bulgogi bibimbap as well as the kimchi fries topped with an egg of course. The bulgogi comes with miso soup which is awesome and a steal for the price you pay. The only qualm I have is that this place has really limited seating. Other than that, no complaints. Keep doing what you're doing Coreanos! read more

One of my favorite korean places in boston ! A little on the expensive side but the coreanos bowl is amazing ! Sweet and spicy. Tteokboki was little expensive for an app, and didn't come with much rice cakes but it was really yummy. The plain fried chicken was great, super crunchy and juicy at the same time. Personally I like it better without any flavoring. Ordered to go, and it was ready in 20 mins on a friday night. Would def order again. read more

It's called chicken poppers but there are barely any chicken bits and all I see are fries with messily thrown in sauce. Coreanos food was amazing with large portions back in 2019 (see second pic) where there are actual chicken poppers in it with sauce drizzled on very nicely. Food quality went down the drain and only thing that went up is the price. Will no longer be coming to this establishment. read more
