Food was very good. Pesto caesar was great. Vegetables were fresh and crisp. The cherry tomatoes were very sweet. The focaccia croutons gave a different texture to it. For the pizza, I got Carne Amore. It was a meat lover's pizza. Though it was a little salty for me, it was still very good. Radiatori bolognese was good. Pasta was al dente and the flavor was not overpowering. The soft lighting contributed to the cozy feel of the restaurant. I would have given the restaurant 4 stars if not for the host Aiden at the front/reception who was the sassiest restaurant host I have ever met. When I came up to the reception to ask if there were seats available, he said in the sassiest way possible that for those who did not make a reservation, there was a spot left. The service was awesome and we had a nice long table in the center of the restaurant indoors (ground level). I visited here on a Tuesday at 6pm for a work-related and social gathering. The service and food were quite good, yet even on a weekday and being upstairs, the decibel level was rather high dye to it also being a bar. The menu selection was more than adequate and prices reasonable. Street parking can be a challenge, however I found a safe spot about one block away, and parking was free after 5pm on weekdays. The restroom was clean, and I find this important in that if management doesn't prioritize bathrooms, they may not value kitchen cleanliness either, but maybe that's just me. This place has gotten absolutely terrible, last time we were here the service wasn't great but the food was still good, well yesterday we went back, big mistake and we will never go back again, the host was rude from the moment we walked in at 2pm we sat outside and the server came out to her other table 3xs to give them there pizza and entree and looked right at us and never acknowledged us or came over to say someone will be with us, no waters were given to us while we waited. The restaurant itself is beautiful and cozy, with a small upstairs area. There is street parking for a price within walking distance. The drinks and food were fairly quick to come out. The server provided useful suggestions. We both enjoyed the food and drinks, although they are quite pricey for the portions. I didn't get a photo but friend also tried the margherita pizza which he liked a lot. The bruschetta was delicious but be warned it is a very small plate for the price. The warm olives were also not worth it as they're pitted. We did have a lot of trouble once our meal was done. We had asked for separate checks. I reviewed the checks and realized I had multiple charges for food and drink items I didn't order. After checking my friend's, we realized he was also charged for extra items. I wrote down exactly what each of us ordered while we waited for our server (or anyone else) to approach. We waited for about 10 minutes with no sign of anyone. We went downstairs and were again ignored by staff. I continued to stand by the bar hoping the bartender would respond while my friend was able to track down our server off the side. It took multiple tries to fix the issue and a lot of time. I provided the list of what we each ordered (2-4 things each), but it required more fixing. The waiter seemed genuinely sorry for the mix up. They had added another table's orders to our check. Mistakes are perfectly human, I just suggest having at least one staff at the podium to respond to customers. read more
