Found this gem after checking out 2 other places (that we weren't thrilled with) in downtown Harrisburg, after a work conference. Ever since, it's become my go-to spot when I'm in the area! The service is always wonderful - super friendly staff. The brick oven pizza is excellent. I haven't tried anything else on the menu because I love it that much lol. It's also nice being able to sit at the bar and watch them knead & flip the dough as they're making it. The cocktails are also great and they have a good selection. They have 2 levels of indoor seating, as well as outdoor seating, too . Overall, it has a cozy / modern, friendly vibe with great food, drinks, and service. What's not to love? read more

I always have an amazing experience here. I always get a charcuterie board, and it's always excellent. I had a pasta dish last time, and loved it: I also love their wine selection. A disappointing first experience at Cork & Fork. 1. It was fairly empty inside but they sat us near the bussing station upstairs. 2. There was a constant vibration on the balcony and the light flickered above us l possibly from a power surges from the kitchen below. 3. We ordered the special appetizer-crab stuffed zucchini which should have a warm vs cold preparation. It was eating cold crab stuffed in a cold zucchini. 4. The white sangria could've used some fresh fruit in the glass for taste & presentation. Not a typical sangria. 5. The salmon entree includes sugar snap peas however the fibrous strings weren't removed by the sous. 6. Scallop entree was really under seasoned and they lacked consistency in a sear. One was golden brown on top and the others were warmed through. Sadly, very disappointing for 2 foodies. read more

Stopped in for lunch after a day at the capitol. Super convenient location. We sat upstairs which has a nice view. The pesto Caesar salad was so yummy! The pesto is in the dressing and adds so much flavor. The pasta bolognese was also good although somehow unevenly heated. The pasta at the center of the plate was warm but not around the edges. This is truly one of my favorite ways to spend a nice afternoon, especially when the weather permits sitting outside. I started coming here during the pandemic because of their outdoor options, and fell in love with sitting on state street. Winter makes me sad because I don't get to have that treat, but the welcoming environment inside softens the blow :) I've gotten most of the menu, though it does evolve, and anything with cheese is an absolute winner. The charcuterie and cheese board is carefully curated, often with weekly adjustments. My go to is the Burrata bruschetta, which slightly changes in presentation seasonally, keeping it refreshing. I also can straight up eat the whipped ricotta with a spoon! But it's definitely sized for sharing haha. Other personal favorites are the arugula and beet salad, and the grilled octopus has gotten even better with adjustments over the years. The best thing on the menu is the scallops and mushroom risotto in my opinion, and my favorite flatbread is definitely the funghi. I'm a cocktail person and truly each bartender is creative and wonderful, but if you sit at the bar for conversation, Roman is known locally to be truly a delight. Everything on their drink menu is refreshing, and though I usually go for a dry sparkling wine, their seasonal spritzes are always good and the Coral Crush is probably the most popular. They're one of very few bars in the area that still gets their hands on Blanton's bourbon which always cheers me up. They also have a short selection of craft non alcoholic cocktails, and an appropriate after dinner aperitif list. Happy Hour here is now 4-6, with a flatbread special (I think $9) and $2 off all beer, wine, and cocktails. I'm always so happy with all of the servers, hosts, etc, I think everyone is truly welcoming and kind, and they don't forget a face. One time I had a clothing accident while dining here and a server went above and beyond to save the day, and save me embarrassment. No one remembers and treats me so well as Kat though. Even if I didn't come in all winter, the first warm spring day she finds me outside, she asks if she can bring me a Manhattan and the burrata with no crostini as she remembers that I like my water without ice. When I saw the outdoor dining bubbles outside I knew I needed to check dining in one off my covid bucket list. It's a $25 deposit to reserve one of these and it's totally worth it. (I think you're only charged if you're a no-show.) We were shown to our bubble and instructed that we could turn up the space heater inside if we wanted to. It was set to 77 on a night where the outside temp was 31 degrees and we were comfortable enough to take off our winter gear. The bubbles sit on the ground with an open, weighted bottom. At no point did the masked staff get inside with us. The seams are all cloth or canvas so it wasn't stuffy and there was no condensation build up. We also saw how they were cleaned in between patrons: thoroughly. We ordered 3 small plates and 2 pizzas. The chorizo was my favorite. The grilled sausage was served over creamy cannelini beans and a couple little nibbles of wilted spinach. It was an interesting and deliciously unique pairing. The arancini were perfect and the simple pomodoro sauce they were nestled in was fantastic, and I was happy to actually taste and smell the fresh basil in it. Last we had the scallops over risotto. The scallops were perfectly seared, sweet and buttery. The risotto was good, with hidden mushrooms, which I loved, but it could have used a little salt. I ordered the pear pizza because it sounded interesting and unusual and I loved it. The blue cheese was present enough to recognize it, but it wasn't super dominant or aggressive. The pears were caramelized and the prosciutto crispy. I loved every bite. My husband had the meat pizza- it had 3 different types of sausage on it and it was amazing too. Our server- whose name I missed- was excellent. She paced our meal perfectly, checked in on us and kept up with all of our requests. We will definitely be returning. Had a fantastic experience this evening at Cork and Forks "snow globe" outdoor dining. The snow globes are clear vinyl dome tents which are warmed by small electric heaters and occupied by individual parties of up to 6. Reservations are required and Cork and Fork charges a nominal fee to offset the snow globe's cost. Our server, Ashlei, was charming and attentive. She did exceptionally well despite having to unzip/zip the dome at every visit. We shared a small plate of arancini (three mozzarella, risotto balls topped with crushed tomatoes & provolone cheese) and a chicken, broccoli, and cheddar pizza--a special. Both were exceptional and hot from the kitchen. As always, the pizza's crust was delicious and brick oven crispy. Cork and Fork also offers my new favorite trend--almost bar seating. My husband and I dined at Cork & Fork in downtown Harrisburg, PA for the first time last night. We had a reservation and were promptly seated when we arrived. The restaurant is cozy with a warm wood and industrial vibe and a bar that runs nearly the full length of the main floor. We shared a burratta and butternut squash puree, topped with pistachios crostini appetizer. We also shared the avocado salad, but tried it with the white balsamic dressing (due to a citrus allergy that prevented us from ordering it with the dressing that normally comes with it.) And for our main dish we shared the spaghetti bolognese. All three dishes were excellent. And service was super fast and friendly. We have a new favorite restaurant in Harrisburg and will definitely go back. read more

Another great dinner from cork and fork! There were a few changes I want to note on the new menu Happy hour is no longer "select cocktails" now it's $2 off all cocktails. I really like this better! Now I'm not limited so when I order the Fresca rosamaria-again- it's because it's really that good and not because I have too. I really appreciate that the staff will let you put in more drinks two minutes before happy hour ends too. The bread on the mussels this past time was small baguette slices. Not the beautiful crispy long pieces of bread I'm accustomed too here with the mussels. Very small pieces. This was a bummer because I love the mussel sauce and soaking it up with bread. However, our server said it was more of a supply issue and wasn't supposed to be a permanent change. Thereby ensuring all 5 stars. For parking, we park on state street which is plentiful and free after 5 unless it's Saturday. You can get free parking on Saturday for only four hours and you have to download the park mobile app and use code LUVHBG. I get the mussels every time we go and the Fresca rosamaria and usually the pistachio pizza. You cannot go wrong with that combo! read more

I don't want others to make an expensive mistake like me. Service-great! Food-tastes like amateurish. I'm no chef but I could cook everything Ive eaten here at home & better. I ordered scallop risotto. It was ok but definitely nothing special and I had to add a lot of salt. Also, ordered the burrata bruschetta which taste like overly toasted very hard toast w/ the cold burrata, store strawberry jam (not "smoked strawberry" jam) w/ a few candied pecan pieces (again like the stuff you buy at the store- it would behoove them to at least crush them), & chopped mint leaves (yuck to chew on w/ your food). Last but not least, the name is Cork & Fork and is said to be a wine and dine experience. However, their wine list only includes maybe 10-12 different wines total (1 per class/type). Ambiance is nice but this place is WAY over hyped. read more
