First time dropping into this local haunt and it was for the World Cup Final!! They opened up before 9am to accommodate the fans. This could become a local premier league spot???? The owner even bought us plenty of Rosa's Cafe tacos and Detour sweets(both just down the road). The space is well thought out, plenty of high chairs and table height seating. A couple of armchairs, and plenty of TV's all over the bar. Now the beer options....every thing from Blonde's to IPA's, to Stouts. You can get a flight with several options, a short, a tall or walk out with your growler. I tried the 27 and the 31, both very earthy, smooth and packed a punch. For food they have a slate of different food trucks come by and there is a board giving you a heads up so you can plan on which food truck you want to time. We often go to Cork & Growler for happy hours as its close to our place in Frisco. In our recent visit we order couple of rounds of beers and where very disappointed as most of the beer was flat and stale. I told the staff the beer is from the bottom of keg as the DigitalPour board was flashing and she looked at the board and accepted that is the case. When I asked her to replace the beer the server rudely said I should have paid attention before ordering. Then I examined the board and 90% of the beer kegs were running very low and hence most of the beer we got was flat and not tasty. Similar experience I had at Cork & Growler couple of times in the past but never saw 90% of the beers/kegs running so low and the staff being so rude. They are even serving Hefeweizen in a Tulip glass so I doubt the staff has any idea on which glassware to use for the beers. While this is the closest Craft Beer place our group will be looking at other options. read more

I don't even like beer, but she found one I thought was fantastic!! They are super busy Friday and Saturday evenings with lots of dogs. I love Cork & Growler! There is always a great beer selection with highly rated beers on tap! And for my friends that drink wine, there is wine on tap and tons of bottled wine to choose from. The frozen and on the rocks margaritas are very good- try the frozen strawberry margarita with sugar! If you're hungry, there's gourmet pretzels and personal pizzas- both of which are delicious! The garlic parmesan pretzel is my favorite. There are tons of board games to choose from. The patio is small but very nice and the flower beds are a nice touch. The vibe in this place is off! We walked in and there was two guys in the place and the bartender on a Saturday afternoon. It had a good list of beers, but there was no order to it. You had to hunt and peak through it to figure out what was a stout vs IPA vs red ale etc. We wanted to try some new stouts so we asked for a flight, which was a waste of money. This is a very laid back date night which was so welcomed! We went in and I ordered a wine flight which was really expensive and honestly not good so definitely opt for their beers like my husband did. Literally obsesssedddddd with this place! It's family owned and located on the little elm side of Frisco. They allow dogs inside which is fantastic and a must-go to place for anything with a furbaby looking to get a drink (especially when the weather outside isn't perfect). The drink prices are very reasonable and everything comes in multiple sizes. They have wine and beer on tap and they rotate often, I'd say about 2-4 days. The downside is you find something you love and next time they don't have it! But you can always try something new- and their website is up to date on what is on tap and how much of a keg there is left. The atmosphere is relaxed, I've come here to do some work outside the office AND meet up with friends on a Friday night. Both times I felt like I had ample opportunity to do whatever it was I was doing. My favorite part is they are the queeeeens of organization for food. Each table has a stack of delivery locations nearby and a table number and you can call and they will bring it inside to your exact table! Great for when you get the munchies. I recommend! read more

We had brought our dog to the nearby Frisco Fresh Market and we wanted to continue our Saturday afternoon with some beer. I found this place on Yelp and was happy to see it was a beer spot that allows dogs! Well, it looks like they used to.. they only allow service dogs now (I guess there was a complaint according to another reviewer which is pretty unfortunate considering this place is obviously for beer and dog lovers). Despite all that, we were still able to enjoy the small patio outside. There are a few tables and also a small fireplace for those cold nights. My dude got each of us a flight and my dog also got his own dog beer (non-alcoholic of course). The beer was good, and my dog only drank a little bit of his dog beer; I guess he didn't like it much but that's okay. We mostly stayed outside but I did get to check out the inside when returning our flight glasses. The space is pretty big where you can chill and play board games. It is located in a small strip small and there is a good amount of parking. The staff was also pretty nice when I talked to them! This place is great! The menu is always rotating so whatever your taste they're bound to have something that'll be right up your ally. If you favor a little vino over beer then fear not. They have four wine options on draft as well. The staff and owners are some of the best people I've met in the beer industry. Extremely welcoming and friendly with all. The location is very comfortable with about half a dozen spots at the bar as well as high and low top tables for larger parties. Charging locations a plenty(AC/USB) along the north wall. The outside seating area is intimate and a great place to enjoy a pint when the weather is right. They also do food trucks pretty regularly with is nice but if that's not your style then feel free the bring your own food. Several places deliver there for free as well. In summation, if you're looking to be welcomed with a smile and served some great beer to be enjoyed in a comfortable, mature atmosphere then this is the place for you. This is one of my top three favorite places to go for a pint. read more
