Nice place! Service was super kind but not many options on the menu unfortunately. They were having an event outside so we couldn't get outdoor seating but inside was still great! Their $7 happy hour fries were also DELICIOUS.

Tuna Tartar with wasabi aioli--so fresh and good!

Wife and I had a great lunch here recently. Service, food and atmosphere were excellent! Liked it so much we came back the next night and enjoyed a couple drinks at their bar and listened to live music. Go here and enjoy!!

Cozy enough place albeit expensive for what it is. Actually quiet overpriced. The food is pretty good and the wine selections are rather scarce. The service however, leaves a lot to be desired. Nobody seems to care here. We had a server named Joshua whose aloofness and stuffyness made the whole affair just uncomfortable. It could be better, but it just isn't there. We won't be back.

My favorite Carpinteria restaurant, hands down. Great for special celebrations, date night, girl's night! They have good burgers and an amazing artichoke dip and lobster Mac and cheese!

Great casual restaurant with a full bar and delicious cocktails and a wonderful ambiance. Try the small servings of lobster Mac and cheese and spinach artichoke dip during happy hour from 2:30-5. Delicious!

Great vibe with locals at cork tree. Tuna tar tar is excellent and Andre makes stellar cocktails.

Andrea (did I spell it correctly?) you have one of my most favorite places in all of Carp! Your bar is fabulous, your happy hour is flavorful and such an extremely good deal and you make the best drinks! You are kind, your place is fun and spacious and just good energy all around. Some places can only survive in Carp...but your place could make it anywhere. You have a good thing going. You get it. And those truffle fries are heavy handed in quantity and flavor. I loved it. The Spinach artichoke dip, the lobster Mac and cheese, all of it. What a good thing, people! Support this place. Don't sleep!

Not good. Stay away. Service is some of the worst in town, staff are gormless and try their best to pretend you aren't there. Fire them all?

Adults and kiddos out there eating and drinking. I made a mental note to myself to check 'em out. That I did ... I went there for lunch. They share a shopfront with Dang's burgers. Walk into the building and smack to the left is the Dang's burger ordering counter. To the right is Sunburst Wine Bar. The bar has a bar counter and chairs. The interior look is modern, unpretentious casual. Bright with lots of natural light. But if you're looking for a TV, they don't have any. The vibe is chill, unpretentious, welcoming, and family friendly. Family friendly bar?!? No, kids aren't allowed at the counter but are allowed on the outside patio and well as leashed dogs. The patio seating is tables and bench seating. The bar menu has draft beers, local wines. and canned drinks. They have flights. While partaking in a drink at the bar, you can even eat your Dang's food at the bar as well. The bartender was a sweetheart. Engaging with a great attitude. And may I add, she isn't a wimp. When there were no customers at the bar, she was stacking and moving drink boxes. Getting business done.

Customer service was still great, but I noticed a few changes that took away from the experience for us personally. I do like that the tastings are no longer in the plastic tubes, although the tubes did feel like they held a little more wine. What we didn't enjoy was that when multiple people ordered the same tastings, they were placed into the same shared glass/container. In our party of four, three of us had the same six tastings and had to share. I appreciated the bow on the glass showing the pours, but I preferred the previous setup where everyone had their own individual tastings. It may seem small, and thankfully our group was fine sharing, but it made the experience feel less personal and honestly made us less interested in doing tastings again on future visits. Some people also may not feel comfortable sharing containers or touching the same glass. Nothing terrible at all, just some feedback from longtime visitors who loved how it used to be. On this visit we actually ended up ordering a bottle afterward instead, and moving forward we'll probably just continue doing that rather than the tastings.

In a stretch of Lower State packed with breweries, wine bars, and roaming weekend energy-drink humans in vintage bowling shirts, it threads the needle nicely between cocktail bar and tropical escape pod. The menu leans tiki-adjacent rather than deep-cut exotica, but the drinks are smartly built and avoid the "every problem can be solved with more rum" philosophy. There's a solid spread of spirits across the board, which makes the place feel more welcoming to a broader nightlife crowd instead of strictly rum disciples clutching vintage Trader Vic's mugs. The Oaxacan Dead was the standout for me. Smoky, balanced, endlessly sippable. One of those drinks where every sip quietly talks you into ordering another without turning into a sugar avalanche. The Jungle Bird was also great, though presented more in the direction of a Negroni than the punchier tropical versions you usually see. Bitter, restrained, and easy to settle into. Crowd-wise, things tilted a little frat-floaty as the night rolled on, but the staff handled everything smoothly and kept the vibe from turning into full pirate mutiny. Service stayed friendly and composed even when the volume of the room started climbing like a malfunctioning theremin. Big bonus points for the location and outdoor seating. Being right in the middle of Lower State makes it an easy launch point or final stop depending on your evening trajectory. Grab a drink, people-watch, drift between breweries and wine spots, repeat as necessary.
