Tons of options for you burgers, dogs, chicken, turkey or turkey burgers. I tried the Hawaiian burger and cheese curds, they were very well done and tasted good, I know pineapple is not everyone's tastes but they have many options, want to try the cheese curds burger next. Have the butter garlic fries, would be great late night but they close a little early for me. Mentioned it but they said it's hard to find workers, they do find good workers that provide fast and friendly service, so I just go early. This little hole in the wall seeks a great amount of American food for lunch. Even though I think they are overpriced, I've come here a few different time for lunch for the gang. For starters - the Italian beef with sweet peppers and mozzarella cheese is definitely worth getting. It's a little on the smaller size but it is packed with flavor - not bad at all! You also can't go wrong with the WESTERN burger! We've got this a few times and always love it - give it a try! Lastly, the Chicago style hot dogs always hit! They are on the smaller side but again pack a bunch of flavor. Fries are good and crispy too! Try this joint out! read more

Greasy spoon with great food! The hot dogs looked amazing, I went with a Gyro and it was delicious. The butter garlic fries set this place apart.. never had that before! More things should be smothered in butter garlic, it was yummy. The inside is pretty small and basic but I really enjoyed dining in the outside yard behind Corky's. It has lots of tables and the cutest was this little picnic table put into the back of a pick up truck, that was fun to sit back there. Great food, quick, and friendly! I will be back. read more

This place went from being my favorite to an absolute joke. I used to come here all the time, but after stopping by today to order for me and my friends, I'm done. The service was rushed, and not welcoming. But the real problem? The food. I paid for dry, stale buns and ingredients that looked and tasted like they'd been sitting around for days. My Chicago-style hot dog, which used to be my favorite, was so disgusting I couldn't even finish it. Since moving up to Northwest Indiana, I have been searching for an Italian Beef sandwich. I remember I visited a friend one time in Illnois many years ago and thought it was terrific. I was in Cedar Point so I found Corky's Dogg House. First of all, the sign outside is hilarious. You can see it in the photo I added. Corky's Dogg House is not very big. You order at the counter. The drink station is around the corner with the bathroom and there are about 6 tables inside. The menu does have a variety from hot dogs, hamburgers, Italian beef sandwiches, and sausages. I inquired about the Italian beef and wondered what the heck is giardiniera. After the cook told me the ingredients and he said one word I hate to hear...celery. The rest sounded all right. I skipped it though and they told me I could make the Italian Beef anyway I wanted. I had mozzarella, marinara sauce, peppers, and onions with au jus. The beef was real tender and I am thinking that the cut was the same as a philly cheesesteak. The au jus was hot and the bread soaked it in. But it seemed like something was missing. Luckily for me, the cook had the foresight to put giardiniera on the side for me. Even though it had celery, which I picked out, I gave it a try, and Italian Beef was transformed. That giardiniera is pretty important to that sandwich. I had fries with butter garlic. They just crinkle cut fries with a garlic taste. All of this was around $11 so it was a good deal and now I know what makes Italian Beef sandwiches so special. I would eat at Corky's again if I'm in the neighborhood. read more

Another restaurant I door dashed for many many times over the past year. Owner and staff are friendly. They are always busting their _ _ _ _ _(fill in the blank) off each time I come there to pick up a dash order. A few times they have given me food just because they made too much.
