I was completely disappointed in the food at this restaurant. My first time eating here and the reviews were great so I was excited. I ordered avocado toast. I received one slice of sour dough bread with a dollop of guacamole on it with lots of arugula and two crumbles of feta cheese and 4 cherry tomatoes cut in half. The best part was the poached eggs. I ordered it without radishes. The $15.99 price seemed reasonable until it arrived. This did not have avocado it had a smearing of guacamole. The bread was barely toasted. I ate four bites and didn't finish it. Service was mediocre at best. I bought a pie and haven't tried it yet but I don't have much confidence in it either. Not going there again. No wonder it only had two other customers beside us. read more

I'm so sorry I didn't get the waitress's name. We went for breakfast this morning. We were seated quickly! Our order was taken quickly! Drinks were brought quickly! Food came out faster than I've ever seen at any restaurant! Food was fantastic! Refills before we even knew we needed a refill. We eat here every weekend and we are always welcomed so warmly. I love how it's always the same people working and no turnover. Always smiling faces to greet us. Food was mid. both of our scrambled eggs were over cooked , hash browns and country potatoes under cooked, sausage under cooked , bland steak. Biscuits and gravy trash. Overall everything was very underwhelming. I don't know how the cook burns eggs , but undercooks sausage. The waiter was nice and he did take 8 dollars of my bill. They also have the plate/glass receptacle right behind the booth we were sitting at, and it was very obnoxious to hear them dropping glasses and plates constantly. Today my family and I had our first opportunity to have Easter breakfast at the new Corkys in Highland. I must say this is diffintely a hot spot for the town. We were greeted by the owner upon entry. I would have never guessed he owned the place. He was cleaning windows and taking pride in his establishment. My server was Cindy Torres and she was amazing. She treated us as if we were her only customer. Actually she treated all her customers equally the same. Very polite and excellent customer service. Even though it was extremely busy, the manager took time at every table checking on each customer to ensure everything was acceptable and to the standards of Corkys. He allowed me an opportunity to thank Denise, the fine baker of the yummy pies. She came out and greeted us with a cheerful smile and asked if we were happy with the bakery options. Love this place. I never thought of tipping the people in the back. Yet, the bakery did an amazing job keeping up with the holiday orders. Great job. read more

I am a big fan of Corey's, just not this one. It just seems their attention to detail is not as good as the rest. We are driving down to San Diego and we're starving so we went to get a couple of things to go. We got a ham and egg breakfast croissant and I ordered what was supposed to be a chorizo and egg with some beans burrito, light on the chorizo. We are waiting for our order and saw one come out and thought it was ours. Turns out ours were sitting on a shelf for who knows how long so you could've been on our way probably 10 minutes sooner. Then because it was sitting there for who knows how long, the breakfast croissant got all steamed up, and it was all soggy. And I come to find out that my tree on a burrito with beans only, had no beans, was not light on the chorizo, and I had hashbrowns I guess for filler which I was not a fan of. First time I've ever gone to any Corky's is where I was not 100% happy., Let alone very disappointed. On top of that, servers are now in the habit of expecting a tip, even for it to go orders, which we did just so we can get an order that we were disappointed with. read more

The food is very hit or miss. They have a larger menu with lots of options. However, in general the food is bland and poorly prepared. Even though we are asked every time how we want our hamburgers prepared they are never close to the requested doneness. The chicken pot pie is a bland goopy mess. They would be better off using Marie Callendar's frozen pies. The chicken strips are a dried dedicated mess with little to no flavor. The staff tries but is poorly trained and often does not know the menu. I had a far too long conversation with a waiter over the difference between MR. Pibb and root beer. He was stunned there was a difference and did not know the menu. read more

The eggs were decent, the home fries OMG undercooked, no onions, bell peppers seasoning NADA . I'm not sure what kind of home fries those were. I visited with my mom and my husband. It was a busy day. But we got on the waitlist and received a text in about 10 minutes that our table was ready. It was crowded and a little hard for my mom to navigate her walker as the aisles were very tight. My suggestion is to utilize the nice outdoor seating. We were offered outdoor seating. However, it was a cold/ rainy/ windy day. But heat lamps and fans outside would help customers be comfortable during cold or hot days. And provide more seating on busier days My husband and mom were very happy with their skillet meals. It was plenty of food and pretty tasty. However, I was EXTREMELY disappointed in my chili cheese omelette. Not salted well and very little chili on it. When I asked for extra chili, I was told that there would be an extra charge! C'mon Corky's!!! It didn't look anything like the pictures in the menu. I definitely would not recommend anyone order this. Also my mom ordered a snickerdoodle cookie and said it was extremely dry. Not sure if they just had a bad day. So, all in all, Corky's was okay. I don't need to rush back. But I hope the manager thinks about customer concerns. read more

We went to Corky's on a Sunday and it was packed so we sat at the counter, at the time it was the only available place for the two us to be able to sit together. It was nonstop and loud as we watched the employees in action.Terri had the Santa Fe chicken skillet and I tried the Corky's Omelette. The skillet was heavy on bell peppers and onions, with a lot of liquid and seemed skimpy on the eggs. The omelette had a thin layer of gravy on top and much of the house potatoes were overcooked. We both opted for the orange cranberry muffin, it was okay on the small side and definitely not worth the price that was shown to purchase one. Today, we visited this location for the third time since it opened. The experience today was so much better than the first two times. I gave them the benefit of the doubt being a brand new spot and them getting their routines down. Almost didn't go back the third time, but you know, third time is the charm.
