I was a first time client due to my 22 lb Orange Tabby Cat got attacked by a hawk or eagle. This clinic has a lot of different Vets so I spoke to several different people. People at the front counter were very busy when I first brought my cat in. They were not overly friendly. The Vet that operated on my cat never actually spoke to me in person. They didn't call me back the day after to check on my cat and his condition. I thought that was a bit unusual. The Vet clinic waiting area was clean and tidy. They told me to bring my cat back in 3 days to get his drain removed but never scheduled me an appointment time. I had to call them back to do that. They didn't make me feel like they wanted my business again so not sure I will be back. read more

We are not patients of this clinic, but they were the only place super close to us that was open and was not going to charge us almost $600 to help us move our 20 year old chihuahua across the rainbow bridge. They scheduled us and then our boy had another serious seizure and I called them and they told us to bring him in immediately. Everyone was so warm and kind to us. Cornelius Veterinary Clinic failed us. They failed to grasp how sick our cat was. They dragged their feet in testing - tested our cats samples as minimally as possible while charging as much money as they could, and then had to send in for further testing of the samples (which of course cost us more money each time) all while looking at/for the wrong diagnosis! Our cat wasn't eating, drinking, using the litter box or moving much at all - she was actively dying. We spent just over two weeks asking Cornelius Veterinary Clinic for help. They couldn't accommodate quick visits and didn't seem to care that our cat was wasting away. We finally decided to take our cat to an emergency clinic who managed to find the issue in one visit. Our cat either has IBD or GI Lymphoma but this emergency clinic managed to give us two possible diagnosis's - both of which are slightly improved (long term and short term) with steroids - now our cat has a chance to recuperate enough for further testing. We will not be going back to Cornelius Veterinary Clinic. If you are looking for help with more than just vaccinations, and you value your pets life - don't take them to this clinic. read more

I've been going to Cornelius Veterinary Clinic for a few years now and had nothing but positive experiences with all of the staff there (vets, technicians, and reception). They each showed care, compassion, and professionalism every time they handled my animals. The only time I had a less than 5 star experience was when I went in after the renovations, which is why I'm only giving 4 stars. The front reception was okay, but not as good as I remember it being before they renovated. Something just felt off like they didn't really enjoy being there, which is totally fine, it's just not what I'm used to at Cornelius Veterinary Clinic. I also saw a vet that I hadn't seen before, which is fine, but this person seemed distracted or rushed or something, didn't seem to know what hat we came in for, made a couple mistakes during the visit (luckily nothing that ended up harming my animals), and made some off color remarks. I'm sure the comments were meant as a joke, but it was a bit uncomfortable since we had just met. Luckily the technician in the room was AMAZING. She was very professional, communicative, kind, and knowledgeable. She ended up correcting the mistakes while maintaining her composure and made sure my animals got the care we came in for. I was really glad she was in the room to advocate for my pets and I, and I wish I had gotten her name because she did an amazing job at knowing my pets within a short amount of time, listening to and understanding what what my pets needed, and keeping calm and collected in a kind of uncomfortable and disorganized environment. You could tell she really knew what she was doing and at the same time genuinely cared about my pets. The visit was a bit stressful so I left as soon as I could, but I'll have to get the technician's name next time and let her know how much I appreciated her. I think she'd make an amazing vet some day if she ever went into the profession. Overall, I think I was just used to having a beyond perfect experience every time I went in, but everything turned out fine. I'm still loyal to Cornelius Veterinary Clinic and hope that our next visit will be more like what I'm used to. :) read more

We are very happy with Cornelius Veterinary Clinic. The doctors there are very caring. I love that they are open 7 days a week, there is more than one doctor and we haven't had any problems getting an appointment. We had taken our little Shih Tzu to another local vet who couldn't and wouldn't see her for five days when I called and said it was an emergency. She couldn't walk and she was screaming in pain. They said to take her to the Emergency Clinic and they were so full they couldn't see her for over 12 hours. The Cornelius clinic was able to get us in the next day but it was too late and she had to be put down. The Cornelius Clinic has our business now with both of our dogs. read more

We were so glad they could accept new patients when we adopted an adult dog, after several years of having no dogs. Vets are great! Office manager should be let go for harassing customers! We have been clients of Cornelius Vet Clinic for many years and have never had any issue with any staff whatsoever! But, I had made an appointment, showed up to that appointment, checked in and, upon checking in I was told by what I assume was a Tech that our Dog was behind on its shots. I agreed and stated that I wanted to get them done. I was then told again that in order to have our Dog seen that it was a requirement/law that our Dog get/have a rabies vaccine. Keep in mind that the last few times we had taken any of our 4 animals there (for about the past year and a half) we had been badgered, if almost threatened by "You have to have this vaccine, it's the LAW!" I got upset and said that this is BS and I didn't want to do business with them anymore and walked out. I then called around to verify that the state of Oregon did or didn't have a LAW that required an animal to have all of their vaccines (including Rabies updated) in order to be seen. Not one of the local clinics said "Yes we require..." I was then called by the Cornelius Vet Clinics office manager and asked where I wanted all of our animal's records sent to because they were blacklisting us and our animals. There was no effort to resolve any issues that we had at all whatsoever. This did not bother us too terribly as we had seen the customer service of the clinic go down hill over the past year or so. This was based on the way we heard and saw other clients treated by staff and their office manager. But, the worst thing of all..... I received a call some weeks later from the office manager at Cornelius Vet Clinic, she stated that the clinic that we had just made appointments for all of our animals to have wellness exams was not going to happen because the owners of Cornelius Vet Clinic also owned the clinic that we had just made appointments with. This was due to us apparently "Bad Mouthing them" All that was said to the other clinic was that we had had some poor customer service. Furthermore I was not the one that made the appointment and was not the contact of record for the new clinic. Took my 6 month old husky here after a bad experience with another vet in hillsboro and I cannot say enough good things about this place. The vet seemed very knowledgeable and took time to listen to her symptoms. He then made a proper diagnosis off what I said and two days later my pet is doing wonderful ! Not to mention they got me in at 5:40 when they close at 6. This place ROCKS and I highly recommend. THANK YOU for helping me. I have two German Shepherds, one very difficult to get into the vet the other has no problem. I had to take my female to the vet because of an ear infection. I'm not able to leave the male in the car or at home so Cornelius veterinary clinic allowed both dogs into the same room. I let the staff know about the males tendency to be overly protective of the female. The staff went out of their way to work around my male. The staff told other staff and understood when he barked at them. At no time did they act afraid or offended by the males nervousness. They did a great job helping my female. I would recommend this clinic to people with difficult animals. I was very happy with the way they handled my animals. read more

I love this vet clinic and all the doctors specifically Dr. Bob he took great care of my Sasha and eventually had to put her down he was very gentle. I have since purchased a new puppy Yorky the only thing I was disappointed was that I was charged $30.25 to trim a 2 pound dogs nails. I asked if they would remove the charge and was told no because I asked for the service although I had no idea it was going to be so expensive I should not have done that and will not do it again since the service is free when you take your pet to the groomer thank you . Disgusted with this business. Our family has been taking our pets here for over twenty years. Since covid, service has only declined. I called this morning for a quality of life check for my 14-year old dog following what may have been a stroke or seizure. Was told I could drop her off Monday and they will get to her at some point during the day (this is Saturday morning), I stated no, I would like her seen with me if she needs to be put down. The girl said "we are booked out over a month so I can't schedule you." She told me to take her to an urgent care. I explained that she is not in any urgent distress and I do not want to take her to have her sit in my car for hours to just be told to follow up with our vet because she is stable. "Sorry, we just lost another vet so we can't schedule you." Is what I was told. What is the point of being established with a vet if they won't even schedule you even if it is a month out?! Cornelius Vet Clinic you are worthless, callous and cavalier with patient lives. I am sick. read more

Head to toe the absolute worst staff of any vet I've ever gone to. Two of the vets, (Flint and Vinton) are vet hustlers. It's all about up sale and fear mongering. They do not follow through, they have poor communication and it's all about selling you as many meds and service they can even if you don't need it. The tech are short in communication and rude. And the office and billing staff is worse. They were kind enough to defer some of a large bill for a rescue dog I took in. The last thing they said was they were going to send me a bill. Well, they never sent me a bill and I forgot about it (my mistake). They had my contact information email and phone number. They never bothered to call or email until receiving a threatening email stating they would turn me over to collections if I didn't pay it. I immediately paid it. During a discussion with "Jenny" that identified as the "owner" this lady claimed she sent several messages and calls. She could not say when she called (and it's standard billing practice to log these dates). "This owner" lied and said she made several calls, (which was false I would have had record on my voice mails), and said she sent several emails, which was another lie as I've gone through my emails and I was never contact. Do yourself a favor and stay away from the pathetic operation. I had gone there in the 90s and they've gone way downhill since. Heading to other review sites now to let people know about their pathetic operation. Yes, it was my mistake that I forgot about the bill, but it's your error I was never sent a bill. And, by law you wouldn't have even been able to follow thru on your threat, because you never sent a bill, and you should know you can't turn someone to collections until you attempt to collect. Again stay clear the energy of this place is all hustle the pet owners and you should be ashamed of yourself for running such a practice. Excellent clinic. I've taken my bulldog there for his regular visits since he was 2 months old. They take excellent care. Each visit the doctor spent at least 20 minutes checking everything and helping me out with that particular stage of his care/development. Great staff. Highly recommended. read more

This is the only vet I've gone to where my cat feels completely relaxed. When my cat comes out of his crate in the exam room he confidently walks around like he's at home. When I took my car to his old vet he completely freaked out. Last time at the old vet they had to do the exam and shots on the floor in the exam room. Not at Cornelius. As long as my cat is happy with his vet I'll keep coming here. read more

I would have to say after getting my new Persian Kitten about 2 weeks I was very nervous to try to pick a veterinarian. I would have to say hands down this was the best experience I have ever had. I called initially on Wed. and made an appointment for her first shots, then realized she had been itching her ear a lot, not knowing what was going on especially on a Saturday at noon they had no appointments but they made time for me within 2 hours my new kitten was seen. This kind of customer service was wonderful. All the staff from the girls at the front desk to the Vet were so nice, inviting and the cost was very reasonable. I will only take my Kitten and any other pets to this clinic in the future. read more

The practice owner is very old school. Takes no time for bedside manner for the pet. Prone to manhandling and has no appreciation for or understanding of nervous dogs. Took my Great Dane there for suspected ACL injury. Instead of communicating with me what he wanted he grabbed at and tried to take her from me. He makes use of slipleads to the point of the dog choking. Ended up with significant back injury from he and his tech muscling her onto the floor and rolling her. Cost me a good chunk of money at the chiropractor and getting acupuncture to repair the damage they did. Don't know about the other doctors, but avoid the owner! read more
