My friends & I had Saturday morning breakfast at the Corner Bakery Cafe. Very pleasant & bright atmosphere. Very clean. Friendly counter help who took the time to explain the ordering procedure & several of the featured menu items. I got the French Toast which came with bacon & scrambled eggs. The french toast was very similar to "Bread Pudding" with a crust on the outside. Very tasty. The bacon was crisp but a bit thin & the eggs were.....eggs! Very pleasant breakfast. Food was pretty good although a little pricey. I ordered a delicious panini and I wanted a soup (corn chowder) but they said they don't offer it at all any more even though they still display it on the menus and board behind the counter.. SInce I didn't get my soup, they cashier offered me a drink for free. Overall good experience. read more

I'm surprised myself, but although I try to avoid chains, this place was awesome! The customer service was fantastic, and my breakfast omelette, toast, and potatoes were excellent. I also like that you can modify whatever you're ordering, so your omelette can be only with egg whites. I especially like that they have the calorie count for all of their dishes if you are trying to eat healthy. My only complaint is that the lady at the register did not ask if I wanted potatoes or fruit with my breakfast, and just gave me potatoes. read more

Went there this morning. The cashier was very rude when I asked if I could substitute the cup of coffee with a chai tea for the "morning rush". Also a man tried to walk in a few minutes before they opened (less than 5 minutes) and the server outside wiping down tables yelled at him. Overall poor customer service. I have eaten here several of time since my last review. Sandwiches, flatbread, broccoli cheddar soups are good, not much meat on sandwiches. I got the chicken noodle soup again today and had the same, if not worse results as last time. After a couple of bites, I couldn't find anymore chicken, noodles or vegetables, it's all just broth. I'll be better off walking to CVS across the street next time and grabbing a can of soup. read more

Food and coffee were really really good. My only complaints would be the customer service and food portion size. At the time of arrival, the restaurant was empty- only a few people occupied the diner at the time. After a few minutes my girlfriend and I had to ask to be served which was an inconvenience. It was our first meal of the day, so breakfast was the option. The waiter told us before we were even seated that there wasn't any pancakes, potatoes or French toast (basically all the prestigious breakfast foods). I was irritated by that but decided to still give the menu a shot. We ordered an omelette named the "Anaheim Omelette" and hoped for the best. After an unnecessary amount of time waiting, we were served. The plate seemed more empty than what I'm accustomed too. The food was delicious, really delicious..but the portion lacked there of. I left just as hungry as I entered. Besides that, the coffee here is 5 stars; the atmosphere is neutral and the location makes it worthwhile. read more

I have been a long time (7 years) customer of Corner Bakery - Downtown Atlanta. Based on a very poor experience today, I am no longer a customer and will recommend to others to avoid. After ordering a combo and receiving cold chili, I requested a refund. Got two responses that were new to me. First response from the shift manager - I can give you a refund but you will be charged more money since it is a combo. Really - I need to pay you more for failed order. I am not Warren Buffet but felt secure in rejecting that offer! Second response from shift manager - I will just take a loss for you and give you a refund. How is a failure on the restaurant's end equated to taking a loss for a customer? I gave them back the entire order and will not do business with them again. Horrible and ridiculous customer service... Lesson learned. read more

We walked into the establishment to get a good breakfast before heading out on our road trip. We walked in to order what seemed to be advertised everywhere. Their cinnamon toast French toast. It was about 10 AM so not too late for it. Every other breakfast item was available except for that saying that they were out of it. When we asked for another minute to look at the menu, the cashier rudely said ok and told us to stand somewhere else. After we placed our new orders, the coffee that was ordered came near the end of our meal, and my girlfriend had to use my beverage as hers as well. My order came out wrong as well, but seeing that this place didn't look very organized I just decided to suck it up, eat it, and go to an actual good place for breakfast. There are better options all around. Don't make the mistake we made. read more

Finally taking lunch at 2:45pm due to a meeting and intentionally waited to visit this place for a turkey club panini! They just served me my food on a dirty plate. I had a sandwich and half salad but my plate that it all sat on ( sandwhich too) was filthy with dried pasta sauce. It is 3pm In the afternoon and they are not remotely busy and this was simply unacceptable and irresponsible. A turkey sandwich sitting atop dried red sauce? GTFOH!!!! I almost vomited and the manager basically didn't offer my money back but asked that they have the opportunity to remake it. I am disgusted and out of $9 because I don't want the weirdo that thought that was okay the opportunity to spoil my appetite again. Granted if it was a mistake I would have been okay with simply having it remade.... trust me it may as well be me laying on the plate and someone saying they didn't notice it. read more

Loved that you could get scrambled eggs. My husband loved the maple nut bar.

Nice spot for breakfast. I popped in early (before 7:30AM), the line moved quickly and the food was at the table in just a few minutes. I went with the basic American Scrambler, eggs were perfect, side potatoes nicely browned, bacon crispy, and coffee good. Free wifi was an added bonus. I will definitely stop in for breakfast again and will also give it a try for lunch. read more

The staff was attentive, the food and baked goods were on point. The coffee - oh my the coffee - was excellent. I plugged in and chilled as I read the daily papers while bopping to an upbeat blend of jazz standards, easy listening music and a little Chaka Kahn. We were here at a conference and ate here several times for breakfast and lunch. Did not have a disappointing meal yet. Had a scrambled egg with avocado that was really yummy. BBLT, Asian salad, several different paninis, and mac and cheese with tomato and bacon and all were really tasty. We have not tried the roast beef as another diner did, so can not speak to that. read more

After taking about 15 minutes to place my order, it then took 40 minutes to get my order at which time it was ice cold and wrong. After taking it back to the counter and not being acknowledged for several minutes I told them the issue and they said Ok. I then had to go up for a second time to tell them again what the issue was. When it did come out it was bland and very unappealing!! I ordered the Anaheim scramble and it was missing the avocado both times it came out. Will not be going back. I understand they were busy but they should have been prepared as it was the morning after a big concert at the Dome. read more

Really disappointed again! I stopped going there because the quality the food was getting bad. I gave it another 3 tries and while the portions changed but the quality didn't. There was a mix up on our bill (our error), we changed our mind on what we wanted but weren't clear to the cashier, and the manager refunded the extra meal while being so polite.
