Just discovered this place walking around Buckhead one evening. You tend to miss it since it's tucked into the side of Maggiano's but glad I saw it. It offered exactly the kind of fare I was in the mood for. I ordered the herb grilled shrimp with cheesy cavatappi pasta. The cafe size was plenty substantial for one person I thought. The lady at the counter started out a bit cold but then within a few exchanges, she warmed up and was super sweet to me, even gave me a complimentary cookie to sit and eat as I waited for my to-go order to get ready. This place is a great place to go during your lunch break..especially if you are working downtown. There isn't anything special about the food. It's sort of like your typical Panera Bread, but with a different restaurant name and slightly different menu options. I recall one thing different was they had pasta options. Overall, it can get pretty busy here during those lunch hours, but the food is decent. The service is pretty fast in terms of bringing the food out. There isn't a person to really wait on you. Prices are somewhat reasonable. If you decide to sit outside beware of pigeons. Nobody wants to go back to work with pigeon poop on them. read more

The homemade baked French toast is terrific. I am a huge fan of the fact they support "No Kids Hungry" organization. I was happy to donate. Been waiting for 20 minutes for a dine in order and come to find out they haven't even started working on our order and everyone after us who ordered have been served. The tables were covered up in used plates and another person had a similar issue. We just asked for a refund and left 35 minutes later with still no food. However we couldn't even get a refund because according to the manager the system "timed out" because so much time had passed since the transaction- not my fault it's their fault but now we are leaving without a refund and have to be contacted my the head office? Being from Indiana, I'd compare this place to a Panera. Very similar fare and seating serving style. Good food and reasonably priced. We were in the heart of the business district in downtown ATL on our way to the Coke and the Civil Rights museums, and decided we'd better eat before we go to either. Looked like a food desert area unless we wanted hotel restaurant food. We ended up having to backtrack uphill several blocks to find this place. But we had a good experience. Regrettable that simple directions are so difficult to follow. Lacking time to hit a legit bagel shop, I thought I'd give The Corner Yukkery a try. Disappointing waste of time & money. A world's simplest order: bagel, toasted extra, with butter. And I'm still cordial enough to say 'please'. "Extra" would at least imply warm enough to melt butter, if not some degree of crunch on the outside. The bagel they delivered to me was none of these and a lousy bagel as well. Yuk. Another local landmark that we heavily researched before dining in, this place looks, inside, kind of like a Panera Bread. It honestly does not have a formal restaurant vibe. We weren't looking for that. We just wanted a quick tasty breakfast. I've seen some reviews of this place that complain about slow service. That was not the case for us. Within five minutes of ordering the French toast (me) and the spinach avocado panini (the wife), the food was there. It was hot. It was tasty. It was perfectly prepared. There wasn't anything revolutionary about it, but again, that's not the expectation the place sets. I secretly wanted a lemon bar to go, but we were about to head to the aquarium and it would have been obvious that I was sneaking something sweet out of the place. I should have gotten one. Has a lovely atmosphere, with very nice staff, but service was slow and food choices were rather unusual for my taste. When my food finally did come it was wrong, and needed to be sent back. While the food and service here are fine, I have concerns about the food safety practices. On my last visit, fruit flies and gnats were swarming around the checkout area--where food is stored in the open. This was in the dead of winter, immediately following Atlanta's recent snow day, so it's unlikely that the bugs flew in from outside. Rather, they're the kind of bugs that gather when you leave food out for days. I wouldn't risk it if I were you. read more

Decent breakfast and bakery spot that is located on Peachtree Street downtown. The eggs are scrambled to near perfection, the grits with cheese are hot and molting, crunchy bacon, and delicious French Toast. They have plenty of baked goodies on display, but I didn't partake in them. The service is great and I will be back whenever I am in the downtown area. read more

I've been here to breakfast a couple times. The first time I had the Swiss oatmeal and the second time I had to berry Almond Swiss oatmeal. The oatmeal dishes were delicious and I enjoyed them. I frequented corner bakery when I lived in Washington DC so I was happy to see this store in Atlanta. Nah, I don't get this one. Hotel recommended so we walked down. Looked similar to a panera bread but that's where it stopped. Soup was tepid and I've seen better out of a can. I've never actually been here, but my team orders for catering very often. They make excellent desserts, to the point where I can't even choose a favorite. They always come prepared with serving utensils and napkins. And I like their sweet tea. It's not as ridiculously overly sweet as some others I've come across around here.
