The side small mixed salad I got was to over priced and tasteless, I ordered the balsamic dressing for my salad and instead I got a tamarindo with sugar dressing. Today we were having family pool day and I said I'd grab "the lunch"...my brother had never had the chicken pomodori, it's my usual...matter fact he had never been to corner bakery and I sold him on it. Five chicken pomodoris, and baked potato soups all around with a side of cinnamon cake and superb service...so what's the problem you ask? Well, all five chicken pomodoris were missing half the ingredients. It's sad how bad this place has become. If this spot wants to survive, they need major change in management and processes. The food was ok except for anything with chicken which had a bad aftertaste. The Cesar salad was actually good. But the service was horrible. After ordering, we walked over to the booth seating, and all of the tables were so dirty we had to ask someone to come clean. Once the cashier came over to "clean," she sprayed the table and quickly "wiped" just spreading the dirt around. The floors are nasty and sticky. The bathrooms are gross. Our silverware was given to us unwashed, with white sauce on both forks that I had to ask for plastic utensils. And the staff was careless even after I politely pointed out the table and dirty utensils. It all comes down to poor management who need major training. I used to order from here a lot. I'm not sure what's happened to them post Covid, but nothing is working right anymore. They've gotten something wrong in my order the past 3 times I've come. One time my order included a pesto sandwich...that was missing pesto. Another time I was told 15 minutes, then got there 20 minutes later, and had to wait more than an additional 10 minutes for my food. I finally submitted feedback through the website to let them know what's been going on. They told me that they've been short staffed and that they're working on improvements, then said they would have my next order on the house- no coupon, just would make sure the front knew. Now, maybe two weeks later, I called to try to get that order, and the person who answered the phone said "Yeah, I don't know about that, hold on..." and put me on hold for 10 minutes before I was disconnected. It's always weird to me because I've eaten at Corner Bakery many times before but every time I've gotten it delivered, the quality of the food is trash. I ordered the Choose Two - a chicken pomodori sandwich and tomato bisque. The sandwich was abhorrently dry with barely a sliver of tomato on a thin, dry slice of chicken and an even thinner, soggy base of bread and greens. The chicken was also so disproportionate that I had a solid 3-4 bites at the end of just cheese and bread. The soup was even more disappointing; the bread topping was complete mush by the time it got to me (maybe consider putting it on the side for to-go orders), and the soup itself was certainly not a bisque. I would liken the texture of this to a cup of warm tomato pulp. It was wholly unsatisfying, not worth the price even before delivery fees. Will likely not return to this location (or even Corner Bakery in general as this is the second location to completely botch a to-go order for me). read more

We came to the mall for a stroll and decided to eat nearby. We stumbled upon this restaurant which happen to be nearby and walking distance. You get a buzzer when you food is ready you get up to get it. They have crayons for your kid while you wait for the food. Their coffee is surprisingly delicious!!!!!!! Awesome little joint right off the 5! My boyfriend loves Corner Bakery Cafe so we came here for Sunday brunch. I'm obsessed with their salads. And he always gets the $8.99 half and half. We ordered the same Berry Pecan Salad (full order for myself/ half order with sandwich for him) The vingarette is too sweet so I opt out for balsamic or the avocado ranch! But better when complementing the sweetness of the salad and the berries. The pecans are amazing and the blue cheese are just perfect. My typical location is in Encino, which seems to have more generous salad portions. This location skimps on the salad ingredients. $1 extra for avocado and I get maybe 5 pieces of avocado. Unfortunate but I probably won't be visiting THIS particular location as often because of the skimpy ingredients. Other locations will give you the whole entree size bowl as for this location it's half the bowl filled. But other than that the ingredients are good and I love how healthy everything is.
