Dental work today so I have soup for lunch. I guess everything is expensive now. $7.69 for a cup of soup, and $3.59 for a small drink. They are not very busy at lunch. Sad I missed the $7 panini by a day or 2. That would have been a good value. Surprised at the wait for a cup of soup....was hoping it came with bread. It didn't. Wondering how the soup is made. Chunks of potatoes were firm and super hot. Hotter than the rest of the soup. Order it with no green onion because they overpower the taste. It's good. Relaxing place.

We were on our way in traffic and needed to make a pit stop. On walking in, I am not familiar with the area yet it seems like this is a local chain that gives vibes like Panera would? The staff were friendly yet were in training so it took a bit to get our drinks (salted caramel lattes) and they were worth it :)

A bit of a fav of ours from past visits so thought we have breaky here this morning Nothings changed service is good food is a reasonable sized serving and coffee is good ( serve yourself form vac pumps ) This time was disappointing as the food was barely warm and the potatoes were actually cold , not sure how you achieve that other than letting it sit unattended for to long Will be back but not rushing

every day since the last time i updated the review (still one star by the way). the link that @terance c. posted doesnt work . clearly youre not taking this seriously and i hope the other yelpers reading this dont stop and eat at this establishment. they serve you moldy pastries the manager doesnt apologize and the owner plays games . save your time and money and go somewhere else.

I stopped by this Corner Bakery in Burbank this morning because my wife was craving their chicken pomodori sandwich. I was already in the area getting my breakfast burrito nearby so it just worked out for me to get my wife her sandwich. I placed my order online through their website for pickup. I did it right when they open because it will not let you order ahead of time. I got my wife her chicken pomodori and got the ceasar salad as her side. It said the pickup time would be in 15 minutes so it worked out. When you get to the place the entrance is on San Fernando because the small street entrance is for exiting only. I found parking easily since I think I was their first customer of the day. They have outdoor seating here if you want to sit outside. When I walked inside, it's very quiet and seem kind of a traditional setup. There was only 1 person working and I told her that I was here for a mobile order pickup. She was very polite with me and checked that my order was all there in the bag. I took it home for my wife to eat her food and she loved it.

Food was good, but could have been better. The meat was a bit hard for me to chew. Bowl was big, but not enough portions for the price. Was not filled to the brim. They have a lot of foot traffic, to go orders and pick up orders. Also do catering. They have parking shared with Fed-Ex and 2 other businesses. Let's start with the Shrimp Ceviche. It was so outrageously fresh, vibrant, and delicious that I immediately ordered a second plate. A SECOND PLATE. And trust me, that never happens. Ever. This ceviche didn't just exceed expectations--it reset them completely. Then came the crispy dumplings. Golden, perfectly crisp, and paired with a dipping sauce so good I was tempted to ask for a bowl of it to take home. Absolute perfection. And the Asian Rice Noodle Salad? I honestly found myself closing my eyes between bites just so I could fully appreciate every flavor, texture, and fresh herb dancing around in that bowl. Our server described it as a deconstructed spring roll, and that description doesn't even begin to do it justice. The basil. The crunch. The brightness. The balance. OH. MY. GOODNESS. If you dine here, ordering all three of these dishes isn't a recommendation--it's a requirement. The only tragic part of this experience is that we don't live here. If this restaurant were within a three-hour radius of my home, I would be a regular. No question. I'd happily eat here every single week. Fresh. Fabulous. Fierce. Unforgettable. DineLA Week comes around only twice a year. Once in the winter (January/February) and once in the…read moresummer (July/August). If nothing else, I always make an effort to squeeze in at least one new restaurant in their lineup. For one, I get to sample what each restaurant considers to be their most popular menu items or exclusive dishes. Also, it's often a tasting menu that offers a little bit more. More like a foodie's bonus prize, just for participating. Yakumi looked good this time around. Probably because I'd eat sushi any day/every day, if I could. And I was able to find a quick prix fixe style sushi solution without roshambeau'ing with myself for hours, deciding on what to eat. YAKUMI BOX + THE DineLA MENU On the regular menu, the Yakima Box is $29 and no drink's included. During DineLA week, this filling lunch choice was just $25 and came with a shōchū cocktail as a refreshing bonus. It included: + Sunomono or seaweed salad + 1 piece of tuna sushi + 2 pieces each of yellowtail, salmon, and albacore topped with fried shallots (Note: It's not the fresh green scallions with ponzu sauce recipe) + A choice of 2 classic rolls like 2-piece baked crab roll, or 4-pieces of yellowtail jalapeño, spicy tuna, spicy salmon, avocado, and California roll (Note: The crab roll was buttery and tasty; the spicy tuna was standard) + My bonus drink: Mango Lychee Shochu The fish was fresh, the mango lychee cocktail was refreshing. Both were on the lighter side and pleasant for a lunchtime meal. INDOOR SEATING + OUTDOOR PATIO Sit inside or outside? To settle the debate, I did both while waiting for my lunch date to arrive. The warm, sunny patio was lovely, but there are only a few spots in the shade during certain times of the day, even with the awning drawn. Indoors, it's quaint and mirrors the koi fish artwork that graces the corner of the restaurant's exterior. It adds an authentic seafood-centric, Japanese charm to the ambiance. Service was prompt, although it wasn't a very busy time. Just across the street at Alfred Coffee, however, the second wave of a caffeine rush hour--needing their daily fix--rolled by as we paid. For me, on the other hand, the light shōchū buzz and pleasant stroll to my car was a foodie's bonus I'd come back for again.

I'm not a fan of supermarket sushi as it's different. If you are, then you may like Yakumi. Or, don't be quiet like me and speak up. Maybe I just got cold rice because I was there pretty much right at opening. Letting it sit for a little while helped but my first impression was already set.

Also, the bowls and burritos were filled with primarily the base ingredients (rice/cauliflower rice), sweet potatoes, kale and bean sprouts (depending upon the bowl selected). These items are not only inexpensive but fills up the bowl. If you call it a poke bowl, at least 50 percent of the bowl should be filled with poke and not filler.
