Been coming here over the years. Restaurant has a cozy environment and a quick to order system. With lots of seating and even coloring pages plus games for the little ones. Most tables have access to plugs which comes in handy if you'd like to study or get work done here. I think it's a great spot for that considering they have refillable drinks! I went here on a Friday evening for dinner. What a pleasant surprise. The restaurant was clean, we were greeted by a super nice girl, Karyse I think. It was the first time being there and she told us about the food, the pastries, recommended a toffee cookie which was fantastic. It was soft & chewy. Ordered a 1/2 sandwich and pasta. The Corner bakery is just that it has a large dining area with plenty of of seating. The ambience is pleasant and many people use this aspect for quick meals and mornings gathering. The food is your basic reheat and serve the menu looks more inviting than what comes to your table the taste is your basic reheat and serve the service is quick and friendly , prompt . The coffee was excellent and they have a pretty good choice of available additions to add to your basic cup of coffee. The amount comes in a small portion. I'm here probably every other week. I say that because it really pains me to give this place a low review. But there is some major issues with the timing of food. I usually come here on my lunch hour, and I usually end up spending about an hour and 20 to an hour and 30 minutes at lunch. On average my food will arrive at my table within 15 to 25 minutes of ordering. So if you're looking for a quick lunch, don't go to this place. However, if you have some time, the food is pretty good. I've had the chicken salad, which by far is my favorite sandwich, and I've also had the tomato soup. Which is pretty decent. It's not gourmet, but it's not bad. I am a huge fan of the turkey avocado Cobb salad. Well the size of the entrée salad does fluctuate, the ingredients are always fresh and the staff is pretty nice. Also, it's worth mentioning that If you ask for a piece of bread when you order a salad, they will give it to you for free. It comes with meal, you just have to know to ask for it. Recently they were doing samples outside the restaurant and decided to give it another try. And am I glad I did. Service was good, people at the register were attentive and friendly. The baked good case was clean, full, and appealing. I ordered the Pesto Cavatappi. It was more creamy than a typical Pesto pasta, but it still tasted really good. Pretty good food! Service was okay, could be better, but it's a purchase than sit kind of place, so guess you can't expect a whole lot. We arrived in the late afternoon on a Sunday, not too much going on, a few people at tables, but they took our order right away, and we had no issue finding a place to sit. The food was delicious. We each ordered the Choose 2. I ordered the chicken rosa pasta and the chicken pomodori panini, with a side caesar salad. The caesar salad was average, reminded me of bagged caesar salad, except for the croutons, those were house made and yummy. Both the panini and the pasta had very similar flavors for sure, kind of a tomato, basil, pesto, spinach thing going on. Which was fine for me, but if you're looking for variety don't order these two together! My friend got a cup of tomato soup, and the choose 2 with the chicken pesto sandwich and the pesto cavatappi. She said both were delicious too. She had the dragon fruit tea and did not care for it though. I've had breakfast BBLT & Egg sandwich before and it is so good (worth adding avocado too.) Both in house and on Door dash. Very much a "panera" type place and for being something I could get good food to go, for the same price as a fast food restaurant, It's pretty good to me. Struggling writing this because when it is good it is really good! So I will start with the positive. Their BBLT sandwich and Chopped salad are sooooo yummy when made correctly. I have ordered from them 7 times through UberEats. I also love their garden salad, the house dressing is sweet and light. The side of garlic bread is also yummy if that's what you opt for. Mamas Chicken Rosa Pasta is fresh and delicious with shaved palm and chicken! Their prices are fair for portions and I usually get the Choose Two. The issues I've had are pretty bad though, considering how frequently they happen. 2 of the 7 times I've ordered they've forgotten to bag one of my items (the other half of the choose two) and another two times my BBLT bread was completely burnt (see picture) and inedible. Luckily UberEats helps with these issues. So 3/7 times everything has been great, while 4/7 have been inedible or had missing items. I have yet to go inside so I can't say anything about their ambiance, but would definitely recommend to try them on site so any issues can be resolved directly. read more

The restaurant is spacious and the customer service was good.. the food wasn't though. We each ordered one of the breakfast wraps. It was obviously nuked in the microwave before it was given to us. It was ridiculously hot and not because it was just freshly made. The bacon in the bacon wrap seemed like it was bacon bits that came out of a bag lol It was mediocre at best. Each month I have lunch with a group of retired women faculty at CSU Fresno. After working so many year's together, it's a lot of fun to meet, catch up and enjoy our timer together. This month we chose to go to the Corner Bakery. During graduate school at Stanford, I regularly went to the Corner Bakery. Today, I ordered a turkey, avocado Cobb Salad ($15.09). It was delicious! I was surprised how large the salad was. I was able to take the remaining salad home for lunch the next day. I was impressed with the quality of the vegetables, and protein. I asked for a raspberry vinaigrette. Everything was fresh and tasted wonderful. I'm happy that the Corner Bakery carries a variety of pastries, salads and other goodies. Corporate has taken over from the franchisee and they just happened to be there. We had a nice chat. This is my second time back. The first time I can here, I didn't care for their food or service. My husband convinced me to give them another try. He was sure there were some improvements. He was right! When we walked thru the door my daughter grabbed a kids paper menu that has games and brand new color crayons. We didn't see any regular menus at the entrance. It looked like they were put away and hasn't been refilled or they weren't allowing anyone to handle the paper menus during this time... We follow the line path on the right and waited to be helped at the register. Between the two cash registers were the baked goods. Everything looked and smelled delicious and warm. We were acknowledged when we walked in the door but it was about 5 minutes before we were helped, but that gave us time to look at the menu that was posted at the counter. There were two other people behind us so we would have felt rushed since the menus weren't provided at the entrance. When I started ordering, the employee that was helping us interrupted me and was telling her coworker something about her dog. But then apologized and asked me to repeat my order. After I ordered, she repeated everything back to me to confirm my order. She proceeded to give me a number and told me that they will bring out our food to our table. The inside of the store was open for dining but we decided to sit outside since it was really nice out. There were a lot of tables and chairs that were nicely spaced out: The store was very clean and bathrooms were cleaned and stocked. They brought out our food quickly and asked if we needed any sauce/napkins or anything else. During our meal, we were asked if we needed anything again. Which was nice that they checked up on us. They were quick to clean off the tables and pick up trash left behind also. My husband and I ordered the choose any two deal. Panini - Club with toasted tomato basil soup Chicken Pomodori with Mac n cheese (he wanted the cheddar broccoli soup but it was not available) My daughter ordered, scrambled eggs, blueberry muffin and a sugar cookie. The panini sandwiches were very good! The combination of flavors were excellent. The crunch and the temperature of the sandwiches made them taste very fresh. I didn't care for the tomato soup. It was too chunky and too salty for me. The Mac and cheese was very good also. My daughter ended up requesting a side of it for herself. The amount of cheese was perfect and noodles were not hard or too soft. (I'll be ordering a side of Mac n cheese next time) The blueberry muffin had a nice crunchy top crust but soft in the middle. I loved the real blueberries in them. The sugar cookie was also good. Crunchy around the edges and chewy on the inside. I told me husband I really enjoyed my brunch and I want to stop by again the following weekend for another brunch for more paninis and hopefully try a salad.
