    Breakfast bacon egg croissant
    Rhonda F.

We had a meeting and needed lunch we order bacon & egg croissant, Uptown Turkey avacodo sandwich, and a cold brew. The croissant was fresh crisp flaky, eggs fluffy, bacon prominent the hole sandwich delicious. The turkey was delicious and the avacodo was the perfect complement for this sandwich. The cold brew was strong and tasty I added my own hazelnut creamer to top off this drink.

We came in for a bite to eat after attending a demonstration in front of the city hall. My friend had scrambled eggs, bacon, and a stack of pancakes, and a blueberry muffin. He enjoyed everything , but the coffee left grounds in his cup. I wasn't very hungry so I just had a muffin and a drink. The muffin was warmed up and it was chocolate. There's no such thing as a bad chocolate muffin . That's that's right right.

Great staff!! Friendly and accommodating. They keep brewing the coffee all day long!!! Keep getting a fresh cup. Halloween special today for a free cookie for the kiddos Tried their new pretzels sandwiches. Meat and combo always good. Probably would be better if the bread was toasted. Pretzel loaf was a bit dry

This was my first and last experience with Corner Bakery. I ordered through Doordash, but that wasn't the issue. When I opened my sealed order, a tuna sandwich and broccoli cheddar soup, I noticed the soup cup wasn't filled, it was maybe a little more than halfway. Disappointed I didn't get the full portion I moved on to the barely there tuna sandwich. Now, when I tell you I'm disgusted, it's such an understatement. There was a BITE taken out of one of the tomatoes. like you can see their teeth and everything, gross! I called to let them know what happened and the manager kept repeating they cut their tomatoes daily. Not only is this the worst part of a tomato to serve a customer, but the bite, man. The portion, the bite, the gaslighting.. Truly disappointing and disgusting, I will never eat from any Corner Bakery again.

Quick service, clean and quiet. Lots of food choices, including half sandwiches if you're not too hungry. The bread they use is delicious and fresh. The salads are flavorful. They also have baked goods for your desserts, so don't miss out!

We came looking for a sweet treat and was definitely disappointed. We've been to this corner bakery before and usually the pastries are pretty fresh but this time the pumpkin bunt cake I got was kind of stale and hard. The cinnamon bunt cake that we got was definitely much fresher.

Came in one a Tuesday night close to closing. Love Corner Bakery! But a bit disturbed at the fact the lady that prepared my food was also cleaning (held a wet rag and sweeping the floor. Who knows how many hands touch or where that broom was stored) and she didn't change out her gloves. While the two ladies in front stood there waiting for the food to be packed. I wanted to say something but didn't want to since it was close to closing time. I'm the type of person that hates coming in close to closing. But wanted to use my discount before it expired since there's no location close to me. And my sandwich is brunt!

Choose Any Two - Which I got 1/2 BLT and a cup cheddar broccoli with a toast garlic bread. 1 medium coffee.

It was my 1st time EVER at corner bakery Cafe # 224. My experience was super great. The manager Jorge amazing and super great service, he's a very kind and friendly guy, Food was delicious and the coffee was delicious as well. Restaurant looked very clean and super comfortable environment. I will be coming back very Soon.

The Lakewood location stated that they do not participate in this promotion. . The neighborhood is deaf. I'm not gonna like this.
    Becky R.

Definitely a huge disappointment. I go to this place quite often but when you see a special you're like right on it's about time. You call and they tell you that they're not participating in this promotion which truly upsetting because now I have to go to a different one and give them my business when this business is just right down the street from my house. It sucks for the whoever the manager the business manager tells them that they're not part of the promotion we just lost a lot of people.

The staff here is friendly and seemingly efficient. Orders are taken quickly. The tables get bussed regularly. I came here for breakfast. I was in the mood for bacon and eggs, which they sort of have. The eggs are scrambled only and they dont really taste like much. I blame my choice, as i'm sure the bakery-based products are much better. The coffee is pretty good. The space is clean and open. It was a pleasant place to hang for 30 minutes or so. This is like a 3 1/2 star place. But any fault I had today was for my poor choice, so round up.

Back again for more great food, service and ambiance:) Came back just for the pastries and to see what other services are offered. As you stand in line, there are also pastries you can buy off the shelf, catering menus and large containers of coffee to go. I was excited to see that you can order "Truffle Hot Chocolate" for a large gathering. Doesn't that sound amazing!

    Tuna sandwich with salad
    Leslie Y.

Typically the main focus of a sandwich is the filling, but when you're dining at a bakery, it's the bread that really steals the show. I ordered a tuna sandwich. The tuna and the lettuce/tomato are good, but they're not nearly as memorable as the two pieces of multi-grain toasts holding the whole deal together. They are fragrant, fluffy, soft, and sweet. I ordered salad for my side because I am trying to eat better, and I realized that the salad dressing on the side serves as the perfect dipping sauce for the sandwich. You can dip your sandwich as you go, or you can drench the dressing all the sandwich. We all know that man shall not live by bread alone, so the kind and courteous service demonstrated by every staff really cinched the deal. Even though the customers order at the counter, they do bring the food to your table, and you can't bus your own table. I should tip more the next time I visit. The store is tastefully decorated, and I appreciate the local touch by having a mural featuring landmarks around the city of Lakewood.

They raised the prices for a Choose Two as well as a premium item :(

I'm starting to lose hope in this Corner Bakery Cafe, not good especially considering the Long Beach location closed just recently, thus making the second closest location much farther away from me. Quality of the food hasn't quite been the same as before. I like to go for the Choose Two because you get the most bang for your buck that way, depending on the entrees you choose. I prefer the pastas, namely the Chicken Rosa and the Shrimp Scampi Linguine. When done right, both are unbeatable, but when not, they're not worth paying the premium upcharge of $1.49 each when it used to only be a $1 upcharge. But now, it's $1 more for a Choose Two. It used to be $11.99, but now it's $12.99, which I have seen it happen across other locations nearby. I had a Choose Two in San Antonio, TX earlier this year, and it was $10.99 back then with a $1 upcharge for premium items. Now, it's $12.29 with a $1.49 upcharge, so don't think it's happening only in SoCal. I went with my go to Choose Two there, and the pastas I had there were better than any of the pastas I've had here! I've still had good pastas here and there at this Lakewood location, but I'm also suspecting they put less in the pasta bowls compared to before. The drinks have still hit the spot for the most part, but my last one missed the mark. I went on a Saturday late afternoon, wanting something hot to counter the cooler fall weather outside. I went with a Large Hot Chai Latte, but the drink wasn't filled up all the way. I didn't notice until I was already on the road, but that was a little disappointing. And there was a time when I ordered an iced tea, but the employee had several other drinks to make. After making all those drinks, she set them off to the side away from the customer, so we would have had to go up and ask for our drinks. Clearly, some training needed to be done; otherwise, how would we have known when our drinks would be ready?! Service, as most of us have experienced in the restaurant industry, hasn't been the best. In fact, it seems like every visit these days, I'm seeing new faces, and I can't help but wonder if any of the old faces are still with Corner Bakery, but just work at a time when I can't make it there. On a rare occasion, you'll get a good one. Like, for example, when Jane noticed I was waiting an eternity for only a drink, she not only made the drink for me, but also offered a free sweet to make up for the long wait. Other than that, nothing has stood out. Well one did, but in the opposite direction. One of the managers asked me for my phone number so she could look up my rewards. When I showed her my number on my phone, a trick I like to do if it gets too loud inside, she said she couldn't read it, and I'd have to spell it out for her. But she could read the register? lol okay that makes sense. All this being said, it sounds as if they are more like a 2 star establishment, but I liked my previous visits enough that I'm willing to drop just one star instead of two. However, I sincerely hope this review update could serve as a wake up call so they can get back to their winning ways; otherwise, they may suffer the same fate as the Long Beach location! :O

We were craving some warm pho on a cold night, and Soup Shop sounded like the perfect spot. The plaza Soup Shop is located in is usually super crowded, but if you go after 9pm when most of the other restaurants and shops are closed, you'll find plenty of parking. Write your name down on the waiting list at the front podium and then wait for your name to be called. They have a few seats to wait right outside the door. Once we were seated, we were given menus. I really like that their menu has a lot of large photos of the dishes, so you know what you're getting! Once we ordered, the food came out pretty quickly despite being busy. For appetizers, we ordered the Crunchy Pork "Bao" since it sounded unique. Inside the bao is pork shoulder, mushroom, Vietnamese sausage, and quail egg. The outside has a thin, perfectly crispy layer that gives a nice little crunch when you bite into it. Really enjoyed these and would recommend! We also got the Crusted Parmesan Cauliflower. Not sure what's in the sauce, but it's sweet, tangy, and delicious! It's also topped with fried onion, cilantro, cucumber, and parmesan cheese. Also a winner! For entrees, we got the Chicken Pho and the Pho Ribeye. For the chicken Pho, you can get it with thigh or breast meat. I got it with breast meat, and they gave a good amount of meat! A little dry, but I appreciated that it was nice and lean. The flavor of the soup is really good. Pho Ribeye was also tasty! Hit the spot.

I ordered the pho brisket along with the crispy Vietnamese egg rolls (chả giò) through Yelp for pickup and drove out to grab it myself. The broth had really good flavor and definitely hit the spot once I warmed it back up at work. The brisket portions were generous, and the egg rolls were crispy, flavorful, and probably my favorite part of the meal. By the time I got back to work, the pho had cooled down a bit, so I did have to reheat it, and I noticed some grease collecting on top of the soup after it sat for a while. Overall though, still a satisfying and comforting lunch on a cold day, and I'd come back again when I'm craving pho.

It was my first time trying it because that's what my friends recommended, but normally I would've gone with the seafood or beef tofu soup for way more protein, plus a plate of galbi or bulgogi on the side Honestly next time I'm definitely doing tofu soup with galbi instead -- better combo in my opinion and probably more filling than that giant soup that's supposed to serve 3. The teokbokki was super good though, and all the side dishes were hittin too Especially the fresh kimchi... not too sour or overly fermented like some places. Service was crazy fast even though we pulled up around 10:30pm, and the servers were super friendly. Ambiance was your classic chill Korean spot, nothing fancy but solid vibes all around

I absolutely loved the crispy bottom layer because it added such a satisfying crunch to every bite. The inside stayed really juicy and flavorful with a good balance of pork, shrimp, and chives. The Juicy Pork Dumplings had soup inside, which was rich and savory. I've had soup dumplings before where the wrapper breaks apart too easily, but these held together nicely while still staying soft and delicate. The Wonton in Spicy Sauce was my personal favorite from the entire meal. The spicy sauce flavor was savory with a little sweetness. I'm typically not good with spice, so this is at a spice level that should be very manageable for everyone. I absolutely loved the spicy sauce, so I started putting it on everything. Definitely put the sauce on the chicken fried rice! The Chicken Fried Rice was a great dish to pair with everything else that we ordered. With several orders of entrees, a solid rice dish is a must order for any Chinese meal. The rice had a nice savory flavor that I enjoyed, and there was a generous amount of chicken mixed throughout the dish. I even asked the waitress if they do anything special with the fried rice because it tasted better than many other restaurants. It felt comforting and balanced compared to some of the heavier dishes. The Dry Fried String Beans were cooked perfectly with a slight crispness while still being tender. The garlic and seasoning gave them so much flavor that it honestly didn't even feel like I was eating vegetables. I do have to note that these were very much on the salty side, so if you don't like foods that are too salty, I would choose a different dish. The Orange Chicken was really crispy and juicy, which I appreciated because soggy orange chicken is always disappointing to me. The sauce had a nice citrus flavor while still keeping that classic sweet savory taste. The Spring Rolls were simple with vegetable filling on the inside with a crispy outside. I would try a different appetizer next time. The Kung Pao Shrimp was packed with flavor and had a really satisfying combination of textures. The shrimp were tender, and the peanuts added a great crunch to the dish. I thought the sauce had a really nice balance of spice and savoriness without becoming overwhelming. Another dish I really enjoyed was the Beef Roll Pancake. The pancake itself was nice and chewy throughout each bite. The sliced beef with green onions and sauce all wrapped together made every bite really flavorful and satisfying. For drinks, I ordered the Jasmine Milk Tea with Boba. I really liked that the jasmine tea flavor was noticeable instead of being overly sweet like some milk teas can be. The boba had a soft chewy texture, and the drink itself paired perfectly with the spicy and savory dishes from the meal. Staff: All of the staff members were quick and friendly Ambiance: Indoor seating only. A good amount of parking in the parking lot that is shared with other shops in the plaza.

Honestly, it's basically…read morethe same broth, the king version just loads it up with brisket, tendon, tripe, and meatballs, so think of it as a fully stacked boat noodle. The broth is the star here. It's rich, flavorful, slightly sweet with a tangy kick, pretty sure there's some tangerine going on in there. Just a heads up, even "mild spicy level" has a noticeable heat, so if you're sensitive to spice, don't try to be brave... go no spice. The meats were surprisingly good, tender, not chewy, which is where a lot of places mess up. Noodles came out hot, no complaints there. We also got mango sticky rice and this is where they really sealed the deal. Mango was perfectly in season, juicy, sweet, not that sad sour off-season stuff. Sticky rice was soft and actually tasted like it was made fresh, not reheated from yesterday. Waitress was attentive and nice. Place itself is small, clean, modern, very mom-and-pop but done right, not rundown. I will definitely come back.

I like how's there's more dressing as you get the taste of it in every bite. The dressing however was a little too fish forward for me and you don't get much acid. IMO, the fish sauce and lemon (acid) should balance each other out. They use big tomatoes cut into wedges (as opposed to cherry tomatoes which I normally have at other Thai restaurants), And they give a good amount of food. Chow Mein: my boyfriend ate this. He said it was okay. It looked pretty good to me. Thai ice tea: I ordered this with boba. And as I was drinking it, I don't know what was in it but it definitely was not boba. It was orange with a chewy texture. I checked the receipt and it clearly says BOBA.

Delightful dinner and service! Casual spot but the food was top notch. Our server was sweet,…read morefriendly and attentive. We stuck to the basics for our meal, but I thought they were some of the best I've had! Our spring rolls were huge. I usually prefer a thinner, more acidic dipping sauce but their house sauce was actually perfect! I think it was a hoisin based creation. The entrees were well prepared and flavorful, with the perfect amount of spice. The pad thai was delicious, authentically drier versus saucy. Eaten with the curry it was a divine bite. The Panang curry sauce was addictive. Looking forward to trying some of the other menu items! We found a parking spot right in front of the restaurant, and it was a 30 minute but the hostess said it was no problem. There is also a lot nearby that I'm sure patrons of the many small businesses in this neighborhood use.

Checked out S T Noodle Bar today and had a good experience!…read more We were eating with an infant so high chair friendly was a must. We were greeted and helped right away and got a place in the restaurant that fit us well. We ordered the veggie spring roll, tofu soup, beef pad thai and tom yum. The veggie spring roll tasted fresh and the sauce added a nice layer of flavor. Off the bat, the portion sizes for the tom yum and pad thai were VERY generous (from my experiences with Thai restaurants). The pad thai stood out and was absolutely delicious! The service did great with helping us out and attending to our requests. The ambiance was relaxed, and where we sat in the back was cool because there was upbeat music playing loud enough to muffle the surrounding sounds but still soft enough to have conversation at our table without needing to raise our voice. Overall, I'm glad I gave S T Noodle Bar a try! I'd recommend it!
