Really wish we had a better experience, but unfortunately, we didn't. We were planning to have subway sandwiches available to our guests at a funeral my family was planning. Unfortunately, there were many issues from ordering the sandwiches to the actual pick up on the day of. We called subway in advance to make sure we could pick up a large quantity of sandwiches at 10am the day of the funeral. We knew that our order was a bit tricky and specific, but they assured us it would be possible. We were instructed to come by in person the day before the event. We came to order the day before and had a difficult time. The workers told us it wouldn't be possible for our sandwiches to be done at that time. It was a bit disorganized, but we understood that our order was a little chaotic. After lots of back and forth, the workers connected us with the manager. The manager was really great! He was nice and very easy to communicate with. He assured us that everything could be done according to our requests and that he would throw in a little discount. One worker told him that they couldn't have all those sandwiches done by 10am, but the manager reassured us it was possible. We messaged the manager back and forth and he was always very kind and communicative. The day of the event was the most disappointing. We reiterated to both the associates and the manager that the most important thing was that the sandwiches would be ready by 10am. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting 40 minutes for the sandwiches to be done and we served food late at the funeral. It was disappointing for my family as the main priority was for the day to go as smoothly as possible, so this ended up being stressful for us. We truly appreciate the manager giving us a discount and working with us. Our total ended up being a little higher than the promised range -- which would typically have been no big deal if everything had gone according to plan. Again, the manager was very kind and easy to work with! But ultimately the promises were not kept. The sandwiches tasted fine and the quality of the food was overall good. But for the stress, I'm not sure I would pick this place again for an event. read more

Honestly, this was one of the worst experiences I've had at Subway. My sandwich was super dry, which makes no sense because I added mayo, creamy sriracha and sweet onion. It tasted like they either forgot or barely put any on. The bread, meat, everything just felt off and not fresh. Really disappointed and probably won't be coming back to this location. read more

It's been way too long since I've gotten a footlong from Subway, but after I joined Subway My Way Rewards, I started getting some deals that sounded enticing. However, I didn't want to bite the bullet quite yet. Pre-COVID, I never really considered myself a sandwich person, but then after a few visits to another sandwich shop possibly named after an East Coast state, I can say I've pretty much converted into a sandwich person! Subway is a dime a dozen. It almost seems like there's one on every block in this city! This particular Subway is at Lakewood Square on the southwest corner of Lakewood and Hardwick. It is nestled in between Pieology and ProDrivers. Like I said, I got a handful of deals, but didn't really want to plunge right into them yet. Fridays seem to be the best day for footlong deals, but from what I recall, they're usually BOGOs, with the second one sometimes being 50% off. Not good enough, but a $5.99 Footlong deal sucked me right in for lunch on a Saturday! Subway recently rolled out their Subway Series, which I wonder why give it such a name considering it is also the name of a series of baseball games played by two professional baseball teams from the same city, also on the East Coast. But I digress. The Subway Series for foodies includes 12 sandwiches, and this Subway location was one of the participating locations that gave out free sub sandwiches to promote this new series of sub sandwiches! I was one of the lucky 50 or so to claim a free sandwich at this Subway, and my sandwich of choice was the #3 Monster. At that time, I requested to add all the veggies, but recommended to not add all the veggies shortly after consuming this complimentary sandwich. The Subway Series promo was some time ago, during the summer of 2022. It's now the end of winter 2022-2023, and I was craving the #3 Monster again. On the Subway app, you have the option to choose your bread as well as your veggies. I went with the jalapeno cheddar bread, and there was also an option to have it toasted, to which I pressed the button on the app. The #3 Monster comes with both bacon and steak, and you can choose to upgrade either to a deluxe serving for an additional $1.50. The #3 also comes with 2 servings of only one type of cheeese; unfortunately, you may not mix and match. I went with Monterey Cheddar, the default choice. For the veggies, you can choose all 10, and selecting the "More" button will not result in an upcharge like the cheese or meats would. So naturally, that's what I did: requested "More" on all 10 veggies in an attempt to turn this monster sandwich into something even more monstrous. I scheduled a pickup time about an hour in advance, and 15 minutes prior to my scheduled pickup time, I get an email telling me that my order is *almost* ready. I'm not exactly fond of these *almost* emails as they could *almost* make me think that my order would be ready prematurely, but I do appreciate the 15-minute warning nonetheless. I did, however, arrive about a minute before the scheduled pickup time, and my order was already there on the pickup shelf, which is positioned in such a way that I could have taken one of the other 4-5 sandwiches on the shelf at the time. I would hope in the future, they would consider having the customer say his/her name before picking up the online order so that the unscrupulous would not be able to snatch someone else's order prior to their arrival. I picked up my sandwich, which was placed inside a long, but thin plastic bag. I was searching for some napkins, but they were already inside the bag. After taking my sandwich home, I opened the sandwich and was somewhat pleased of their attempt to cut my sandwich into three pieces, a specific instruction I typed into the field to see if they would pay attention. Glad they did! How did my sandwich taste? Pretty good actually! However, I don't believe the bread was toasted, which would otherwise have exemplified the overall taste and got my taste buds dancing for joy. The bread got a little soft, but luckily, the sandwich didn't get soggy like a Five Guys burger. I don't actually think the sandwich artist really added "More" of everything, but I'm satisfied with his/her efforts at making my Mega Monster sub sandwich. However, I wish they did add more garlic aioli, a request I also made in the app. Otherwise, I could have added some Baja Chipotle or some other sauce I'd deem worthy of being the blood of this monster. Overall, I was quite pleased with my Monster footlong, and I will be keeping my eyes peeled for another deal. Hopefully I can score another $5.99 footlong in the near future and try something else like the Philly or the Outlaw! Also, I find it peculiar that this particular Subway location is restaurant #6666. Can someone please tell me what the devil that's all about?! read more

I usually don't like making a fuss about food but the woman who answered the phone when I called today regarding my order at 5:01pm was very unprofessional. I had to call 2X to get an answer and she sounded irritated when she picked up. And she hung up the phone without even letting me finish my statement, no bye or anything. Definitely do not come here. My first visit to this location was just ok. I asked for bacon extra crispy and the person put on the bacon and cheese then put in the oven to toast. So, it's really not extra crispy. Isabella changed my view with this location. She heard my request, put the bacon on the flat bread and toasted it before putting the cheese on and toast the second time. Before she put the cheese on, she even asked me if that's crispy enough! How thoughtful! She was also friendly, professional & showed that she cared about her customers. I didn't want any sauces and she even asked if I want salt & pepper! I really appreciated her help & I hope she will be there every time when I visit(I know that's a big ask but a girl can dream.) I was asked if I wanted "it" toasted. I assumed you toast bread .. not tuna. When Iv see the tuna sandwich had been toasted with tuna in it- I said I didn't want toasted tuna. The employee says I had to pay for it. I said there is no way I'm eating heated tuna I'm not paying for that. She kept insisting that I had to pay because she asked me if I wanted it toasted. I can't believe she was adamant that I was going to pay for it. She wanted to strong arm me into paying!!! I was trying to order through the Subway app, in order to use some coupons I had in the app. Of course the app wasn't working correctly, and wasn't applying the coupons. The owner of the restaurant was kind enough to match the coupons I had, even though the app wouldn't work for me. He wasn't obligated to go out of his way to do this for me, but he did anyway. I find that to be the hallmark of a well run business, and the type of business I prefer to patronize! The way this location always messes up my order but takes my money is ridiculous. I have ordered online and added avocado which I pay extra for. I get my food and there is no avocado on it, they then say oh we are out of avocado. Well then where is my money? Oh do you want chips, no I want my money. Most recently I ordered a meatball sub with extra meatballs and I get home to find I have literally 4 meatballs in a footlong sub. Wtf. If you don't have the ingredients don't accept the order and most certainly don't take the money. This location is nothing but a hub for straight up crooks!
