The first time I walked into a Corner Bakery, I hated raisins. Hated them with a passion, in any way shape or form (well, I liked what they were BEFORE they bacame raisins, but that's beside the point). Got the chicken salad sandwich. Always a risky business...there's good chicken salad and bad chicken salad, but not much of an in between. This was good chicken salad. This chicken salad was SO good I ate almost half of it before the most unspeakable thing happened...a RAISIN fell out of my sandwich! How could that BE, I wondered...must be a fluke raisin, I tell myself as I peeled back the bread to examine the rest of the sandwich. Sure enough, little brown suspiciously raisin-esque specks dotted my sandwich landscape. Hmmmmm...how very interesting that raisins could exist in such a way that the taste I generally find appalling would actually appeal to me. Quite a feat on behalf of the chicken salad and the establishment providing it! So I walked OUT of the Corner Bakery STILL hating raisins...but forced to grudgingly admit that MAYBE there is ONE place they really do belong. Everything I had from this bakery was really good. I tried to only eat half a blueberry muffin, but man, i couldn't resist. The raisin toast with sugar was really good too. I wanted more and more and more!! and there was the chocolate chip cookie. and it was AWESOME as well. My coworkers loved the outmeal raisin. Disappointing! My caramel Latte with soy was lukewarm borderline cold when the waiter gave it to me!!!! The chicken apple sausage panini was alright. I ordered an extra plate of fruits for $1 and they were soggy!! Won't come back since I am certain I can find hotter caramel latte somewhere else and better fruits. read more

I was too nervous to look at the menu and too nervous to even eat, well- it turned out that my boss knew that I had a really stressful month and she treated me to brunch & shopping (yup, I work with amazing people) So after the dust settled, I looked at the menu and I ordered the yogurt parfait... (okay, you can laugh- I am literally laughing as I type) It was really good... fresh strawberries, raspberries and yogurt- not to mention the portion size was huge!! I'm just really embarrassed to eat "unhealthy" food around people, esp. my boss.. (Hi ____ If you are reading this) So, before I left... I went back to the Corner Bakery, but FML... It was 12:45 and packed!!! So I ordered the roast beef w/ goat cheese & the ham and swiss panini... After waiting about 20 minutes, my order was ready. The RB w/ Goat Cheese is a MUST TRY!!!!! It is served on some funky bread, but is really, really, really good and it also has arugula... so, if you are into that "shi shi" sandwich stuff, definitely try this!! The chips are kettle popped... so nom, nom, nom... I wish they gave me another bag... and another pickle! 31 minutes and counting.. Still Waiting on scramble eggs and a Cali grilled sandwich. Was told they're backed up, but I counted only 6 tables outside... Just got the Cali sandwich. Suppose to be grilled veg. But it's really just 2 pieces of bread w drop of what looks like spinach . So why still the 3 stars? Well I'm a sucker for good customer service. Instead of the generic " sorry, we'll try harder next time", the supervisor onsite (Nelly) was very sincere in addressing the problem. In addition to comping the meal, she wrote down my name as well as provider the GMs contact for further help. She then explained that due to Easter Sunday, they had to pull new staff who were not familiar with the kitchen protocol, which makes sense. My favorite dish is their Roasted Chicken Salad. The salad is so tasty already. But with the addition roasted chicken, it makes my mouth secrete more saliva (what a weird description....lol..... I am so Chinese). Their roasted chicken is not so bad compared to Chipotle's, whose chicken is sometimes burned..... My company orders Corner Bakery's coffee cake, Dark Forest Cake and coffee every week when we have meetings. I used a few coupons I got in the mail here, and I can say from sampling a few things on the menu that they wouldn't really be worth full price to me. From the Asian salad with sesame vinaigrette to the turkey club sandwich, everything tastes generally pleasant, but there's nothing I would really want to have again, and portions are kind of small for plates that cost close to $10. One thing that was weirdly good was the breadstick that came with the salad - it had some large salt crystals on it that made it almost like a soft pretzel. The hummus, on the other hand, was seriously bad and very sour, which seems like a hard thing to screw up. I'd say you're better off going somewhere smaller and local, where you can get bigger portions and better quality for roughly the same price. read more

Went to cb to get some weekend grub. We ordered a panini, the carbonara pasta, pesto pasta, along with a salad, and lemon bar. The entree pastas were a large portion, enough for us to bring a bit home. They r both cream based but didn't seem extremely heavy. We enjoyed the flavor and size, but def prefer the linguine noodle over cavatappi noodle. Downside, this occasion pastas weren't proportional to the meat. & though a side portion the salad was super tiny, and not worth the 4 lil' spring leaves they gave us. Bathroom needs repair. I tried to use, but door wasn't aligned and would not close, hitting the wall instead of shutting. Other was being used foreverr. The workers were nice but the manager was rude. She didn't smile, or respond to me when I had asked for a cup for h2o. Even when I asked for a togo box she told me to hold on just to leave me waiting in front of her as she did her own nothing to have me watch across counter. I have never experienced projectile vomiting until the night after eating at this Corner Bakery. What a sight to see (or not, you probably don't want to see it). My meal started off pleasantly with a nice staff and mediocre food. I ordered the Pesto Cavatappi which came with creamy pesto sauce and a side of bread. The rest of my friends ordered the Steak and Cheese sandwiches and had no problems with their meal. The food was good, and I thoroughly enjoyed it until I got home and realized that I had the worst stomachache of my life. I thought it would pass, as I sometimes get indigestion (TMI, sorry). BUT NO. This was not the case! The low down: Maybe it was the pesto I ordered, maybe it was the cleanliness of the restaurant, maybe I was just having a bad day all around, or a combination of all three. I asked for the cashier's suggestion for a good sandwich and she picked the chicken pescola (or pomordori, the first one on the menu) with chicken soup. Maybe I wasn't feeling it (I'm not a big sandwich person) and the cashier didn't sound too enthusiastic about the food either. For $8, I get half a sandwich, a bowl of soup, and chips. We came here because my friend really likes it and her sandwich looked really tasty and stacked full with veggie goodness so there's potential for great sandwiches here. I've always liked Corner Bakery so having one open right down the hill was exciting. The one in Hastings Ranch is pretty nice. It's well maintained and all the times that I've sat down and eaten there the manager is always on the floor checking if everything is alright. It reminds me of Panera Bread, yet better. The selection is better. You get the food fast. I love their Uptown Turkey and Loaded Baked Potato Soup. Their sandwiches are good and the pasteries. The cookies are so good! It gets really crowded during lunch but they are pretty fast so the wait isn't too bad. This place is good for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You have to wait in line to place your order and it feels a little bit like standing in line at McDonalds with the major difference being that the food is really good here and relative healthy. This time around I ordered the mac and cheese very small portion for the price ( not that I wanted a heaping portion) but man lol that wasn't worth the $8 I spent . Really disappointed with my last visit here today. I got the chicken poblano sandwich again without slaw. The bread was pretty tough and made the entire meal all that less tasty. I thought I get a quick bite... There was no one in line. First we had some challenges on the caprese sandwich. I had to spell caprese. 2 times. But hey. After 20 min wait I wondered where my soup and sandwich was. They were trying to track it down... which took a few more minutes. Finally after 25min I got a barely warm and not toasted panini sandwich. Since I had been waiting I had read my receipt and if you fill in a questionnaire you can win $1000 dollars. I filled it in but upon filling my name, phone number and email it said on each of them that it was not correct. clearly you can only win if you are happy with cold soup and sandwich!! i LOVE corner bakery. and this location is no exception! today was actually my third visit to a CB this week :) i've been trying to get over this wretched cold, so i've had their soups twice this week (their chicken tortilla-SO good!!, and their chicken noodle--ehhh) today, since i'm feeling better, i wanted my fave sammy--the smoked turkey cobb on a brioche flatbread. this is seriously one of my favorite sandwiches--ever!! there's blue cheese crumbles, lettuce, tomatoes, crispy bacon, hard boiled eggs, and an interesting avocado mayo (which i always get on the side). today, per usual, the sandwich was SO satisfying! i did call ahead, since i work down the street, and i know how it is ALWAYS so crowded. when i arrived, the line was out the door, and i scurried on over to the "pick up phone orders" line. i quickly paid, and then proceeded to wait for like 7 minutes until someone decided to bag my box o' sandwich that was just sitting there...waiting for me. overall, corner bakery has good food at great prices. i can always count on a good meal here. :) read more

I came here on my lunch break from work. When I explained to them that I needed my food quickly because I only had 30 mins, the cashier was very good about making sure my order was started immediately. I also had dietary restrictions that caused me to modify the menu item as it was listed. Again, the cashier was patient and made sure I got my order exactly the way I wanted it.
