My goodness. The chicken teriyaki from this place is one of the driest and saddest I've have ever tasted. The dish should be called something else because IHMO it has nothing to do with teriyaki. Second, they give you a ton of unpleasant looking and uneven sized little itty bitty pieces of chicken, but the worse thing is that they are all dry. And at the bottom there's the rice, but with zero flavor and it feels a bit old with dry as well. I was really sad because I'm a huge fan of teriyaki. The teriyaki sauce is awful by the way, and the sriracha sauce is fake or is mixed with something else also. Very disappointed and not going back to eat here. read more

Unbelievable how rude and bad service was here. I work as a cashier at a restaurant and cannot imagine treating a customer like this. Friday, 4/10/26 at 6:44, I had an uber eats pickup. Upon arrival, the female cashier with two ponytail buns (glasses dark hair) looked at me like I was crazy, and dismissed that I had an order. I told her my name, and even showed her my phone. "Where is the name I do not even see the order" when I had it pulled up on my phone. When she realized the name, she did not apologize at all. When she was tying the bag as I reached to grab it from her, she looked at me like I was insane and pulled the bag away from me, like it needed to be double knotted. That's when I let her know- I wasn't a driver, I was a customer picking up MY OWN ORDER. How insane to treat someone like that, that hasn't been in your store before! I have never been here!! The better version of Panda Express You know whenever you go to panda and there's chicken but they give you 90% beans. This is 100% chicken and whatever you want. I used to order from this Flame Broiler at least once a week and about 3 bowls minimum per order. The food was good most of the time. At times my order was incorrect for example we would ask for half chicken and half beef and only get chicken or asked for customized veggies and not get it but nothing that prompted me to call the store to complain because I didn't think it was a big deal. I liked that their menu is simple and there's very little opportunity for them to mess up the order. I was wrong. The day finally came when I decided to stop giving my business to this particular Flame Broiler. I placed an order online (Order #26759167625428999) on 05/13/2024 at 11:27am. When my coworker went to pick up the order he was made aware that they had no avocados, and he was instructed to go online to get his refund. In the order we added avocado to 3 bowls for an additional fee of $2.55 per bowl. That's about $7.65 plus tax. We went online and there is nowhere on the website were you can request a refund. It only gives you the option to contact the location. I called and the girl that answered said that she had told my coworker that he needed to go online to get the refund. I told her that there's no option to request a refund. I asked for a gift card with the amount that is owed to me in return and she said there's no gift cards. I asked if I can get cash and she said no. Then she turned the phone over to her manager, Juan Sepulveda. After explaining the situation and telling him that I wanted my money refunded since I was charged for an item I didn't receive, Juan started acting defensive. All I wanted was my money back. He didn't provide a solution. He just said he will talk to the owner and call me back the same day. It's Tuesday 05/22 and I yet to get a call from anyone. Juan Sepulveda was not able to resolve such a small request and instead acted in a lazy way by directing the customer to get assistance online when they could have easily made things right on the spot. Juan Sepulveda needs more training on how to deal with these type of situations. If I was the manager I would have given my customer the option of a free bowl of similar price value but he was not able to come up with a solution. The local owner is now refusing to provide a refund and to reply to the corporate office with a solution as well read more

I have gotten Flame Broiler several times, and from several different locations. The first thing that stood out to me is how consistent the restaurants are across the board. This is a good thing! The food is consistently good. Teriyaki chicken bowls are a gift to my mouth as far as I'm concerned. I really enjoy them, and I love that they can even be healthy. I appreciate that you have your choice of white or brown rice here (that is not the case at every teriyaki chicken restaurant). The ingredients also seem to always look and taste fresh, which is critical for both chicken and veggies. It's not appealing tarrying to flavor and freshness from dry over cooked meat. Unfortunately flame broiler seems to more flame dryness than fresh flame broiled meat. As much as I love supporting small business it seems integrity of food here has left the building with flame broiler. I paid $20 for jerky meat over rice. I honestly question why not just use jerky meat. Same flavor and buying jerky meat doesn't require a 10 minute wait unless the grocery store line is long. The salad is basically raw shredded cabbage (green and purple) and shredded carrots with a light sweet dressing. My question is is it really angus beef, if it is, it seems to be a lower grade. Just ordered a couple combo bowls and was disappointed. The beef was tough and the chicken dried out. I was asked if I wanted any sauce I said I'd take 4 of each. I was told they are only allowed to give 3 of each and agreed although they each contain less than a tablespoon (yes, I measured). When I got home I realized I was only given 3 red and 3 "magic" sauce but no green. If you're going to serve tough dried out protein the least you could do is provide enough sauce to add some moisture and flavor.
