My family and I were really excited to try The Corner Deli, but it didn't live up to expectations. I spent over $75 on five sandwiches and only one, the Penguin, was actually good and made well. The rest were disappointing. The pastrami had very little meat, the Mother Clucker barely had chicken, and the others weren't enjoyable and unfortunately went to the trash. It also felt like there was no consistency. Depending on who made the sandwich, the quality and portion size really varied. I was also concerned about cleanliness. I saw an employee slicing and portioning deli meat without gloves, then touching receipts, boxes, and even themselves before going back to the food. There were gloves available, but none of the staff used them while preparing food. Anyone in the food industry knows ready to eat food should be handled with gloves, so that was very disappointing and honestly made me close to asking for a refund. Customer service was okay. They are located inside the wienershnitzel, which actually makes it kind of nice to be able to grab something off each menu if you have a larger party or just wanna mixtures of foods. You go up to the counter, order, sit down and they call you when its ready. We had high hopes, but unfortunately were quite disappointed. I ordered the Bulgogi sandwich, dont quite remember what my fiance ordered. Took about 20-25 minutes to get both our sandwiches. Seems like there is only 1 other person back there besides the cashier making the food. Got my sandwich, it came SOAKED in Bulgogi juice, making the bread super soggy. Taking a bite of it, it was very salty, i needed to put tons of peppers on it to battle the saltiness. My fiance said her sandwich was "meh". I tried to enjoy my sandwich, but it was hard to.
