My family and I were really excited to try The Corner Deli, but it didn't live up to expectations. I spent over $75 on five sandwiches and only one, the Penguin, was actually good and made well. The rest were disappointing. The pastrami had very little meat, the Mother Clucker barely had chicken, and the others weren't enjoyable and unfortunately went to the trash. It also felt like there was no consistency. Depending on who made the sandwich, the quality and portion size really varied. I was also concerned about cleanliness. I saw an employee slicing and portioning deli meat without gloves, then touching receipts, boxes, and even themselves before going back to the food. There were gloves available, but none of the staff used them while preparing food. Anyone in the food industry knows ready to eat food should be handled with gloves, so that was very disappointing and honestly made me close to asking for a refund. Customer service was okay. Bad service, no one says hello, let alone take your order. Seems they only focus on the drive thru for Wienerschnitzel. Was driving by on 4th street saw the sign of their Pastrami and had to turn around only to get there and no one Acknowledge you, so I was there just looking at the menu but nothing, The girl working at the drive thru came to the register as I was leaving. I recently drove by and saw they re opened and now share a location with the wienerschnitzel. New location is so nice inside. You can tell the owner really cares. Soo bummed. First time at the new location. It's not the same. I dont mean to knock it but the ambiance is completely gone (combined with a Weinershnitzel??). The food at the new location was okay, but not worth the price. I ordered the Italian, with no lettuce and no tomato. My sandwich arrived with lettuce and tomato. I do not send my food back when it is incorrect due to who knows what someone might do to it. Staff was okay, but nothing to be desired. Based on first encounter, Nick is really cool, professional and inviting! We even met his mother who was extremely sweet! She recommended the Korean BBQ and said I must try it with the peppers! I ordered the Korean BBQ. Portion was big, lots of meat. Service was great too. The only request I have is to figure out how to make the sandwich less soggy. Too much juice assuming from the meat is making the last few bites of the sandwich too soggy. But overall great sandwich and great team who cares. P.S. I don't know about what the other reviewer was saying about not having enough flavors. The sandwich has more than enough flavors! If she wants more seasoning, you wouldn't taste the meat at all. read more

The menu situation is confusing AF. There isn't a website and the menus posted on yelp from less than a year ago is different. I found out when I called in an order for pick up for a few people in the office. I asked for 3 different things. "we don't have that." I literally said, did I call the right place? The food was not fully ready when I showed up and I went and did a few other things first. It is quite busy in there and I believe there were 2 people working. I got a salad and it was a pretty sad one. I asked for 1/2 tuna and 1/2 egg salad. Out of tuna and they don't have egg salad. So I opted for the chef's salad. The sandwiches looked okay. I work with mostly men, in a man's industry so they're easy. I can probably dump prego into a pot with some ground beef and they would be okay with it lol. (I could never) I am still on a hunt for a place that had alfalfa sprouts in their salads or a sandwich! How come the world hates sprouts? IF I come again, I wouldn't get the salad.
