I was so bummed when the original location closed down, and was relieved to see that it had been resurrected under new ownership and is located inside the Ontario Mills Wienerschnitzel. I chatted with the new owner and he is very dedicated to keeping the sandwiches the same as they were at the original locations. The recipes, ingredients and sandwiches are all here. After picking up the hubby from his Fontana drop yard, he wanted Rubios. I only do Rubios with a coupon, and I was craving a deli sandwich. We were pleasantly surprised with one of the best deli sandwiches since before Mann Deli in Long Beach closed right after 911. The Mann family was from Long Beach, NY. The hubby ordered the Smokehouse and I picked the Penguin. We also ordered a side of onion rings. The sandwiches are of good portion and were very filling. The onion rings were very crunchy, just how I like them. I made sure to save this deli in my favorites. I can't wait to pick the hubby up on Friday and hit this deli again. All in all it wasn't anything special. I got the Korean sandwich special they had for Tuesdays. They were extremely busy for lunch so their phone rang busy when I called and when I was there it kept ringing. Service was ok other than they were everywhere, there was so much back and forth the poor guy didn't give me my chips and I didn't notice until I was gone. It had a very small local feel to it and the name suits it well. The sandwich was ok but a little tad bit too salty and it got the bread super soggy in a short amount of time. I've always heard great things about this place. I wouldn't say they were as amazing as I've heard, but they were pretty good! The staff are super friendly and welcoming. Prices are fair, and the portions are perfect - not so big to be two meals but not so small to leave you hanging. We ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, Korean BBQ Sandwich, and Honey Turkey Sandwich. Out of the three, really only the Korean BQQ was worth raving about. The meat was juicy, the sauce was sweet, and the whole thing just tasted amazing. The Honey Turkey was good, for a basic turkey sandwich. I love squaw bread, so that was good. I wish there had been way more honey mustard sauce so that I could justify the 'honey' in the name though. That would have made the sandwich bomb. The Buffalo Chicken was honestly a little lackluster. The bacon wasn't great, and the cheese overwhelmed everything else. There was also a hair in the cheese, which was off-putting. The regular and sweet potato fries were great though! Not steak fries, but thicker than fast food fries. They both had a great flavor, and the regular fries come with a garlic aioli that was really good. Overall, it was a good lunch. I will probably be back to try something else and see if the two not-so-great sandwiches were just a one off. read more

This was definitely just a standard deli shop, nothing in particular that was special or outstanding. Ingredients are average and the ambiance in there was super dark and old. The Philly cheesesteak was not terrible, I would come back to eat again for the sake of supporting small business. It did lack flavor and seasoning, and the cheese they are using for a cheese steak was extremely rubbery. Overall, if you want a good sandwich, you can definitely come here, or just go to your local jersey mikes/jimmy johns to get your fix. My new job is making me use Yelp! much more than usual. This spot had the highest rating for a sandwich place in my immediate area. Service was friendly and efficient and the menu board was easy to understand. I hate when places post stupid sandwich names but fail to tell you what's in it. Easy to see the ingredients of both standard and specialty sammies. My coworker loved his clubhouse sandwich and my Korean beef sandwich was quite serviceable. Craving a sandwich so unexpectedly stopped by the Corner Deli by Ontario Mills. I have no regrets. The Korean BBQ Sandwich was bomb! The meat was very juicy but the bread got a bit soggy at the bottom. I loved the pepper jack cheese on top, don't think it would be as good with other cheeses. This sandwich had a lot going on compared to your basic cold turkey and cheese sandwiches, but all those flavors were bursting in my mouth in a good way. The sauce was really good too. I savored each and every bite like it was my last. You can tell this meat was marinated well. The only thing that sucked was the fries were too salty; luckily ketchup was there to save the day! I'm not a big sandwich person but I just had to give this place a try. I was shopping at Ontario Mills and decided to check my Yelp bookmarks to see what I had bookmarked to try in the area and this was the first place that popped up and since it was literally right across the street I said hey why not give it a try. I originally wanted to try this place for the Korean BBQ sandwich and after reading many other reviews this is the sandwich that drew others in as well. Corner Deli seems to be family owned and when you walk in you just know that you are about to eat some good food. The interior was like your regular sandwich shop, it was nice and clean and they had a tv that was playing the court shows that I like, off to a great start already lol. The sandwich menu is huge with over 20 plus different sandwiches, luckily I knew what I wanted so I didn't have a hard time trying to decide but I would imagine most people do with all of the options. I went with the Korean BBQ sandwich (soy garlic marinated rib eye, Asian slaw, on a grilled garlic aioli roll) and made it a combo with fries and a soda. The wait for my food wasn't too long, maybe between 5-7 minutes and I feel that's a reasonable amount of time to wait. The sandwich itself was huge and it looked so yummy but one thing I noticed immediately was the cheese wasn't all the way melted (I was a bit perturbed about that) but I didn't want to make a fuss so I dealt with it. One more gripe was as soon as I picked up one half of the sandwich it almost fell apart which may be from the slaw or the juice from the meat but hey I still tore up that yummy sandwich. The rib eye was so juicy and tender and was marinated to perfection, the slaw was pretty nondescript it tasted like your average coleslaw but the bread was amazing. It was so fluffy and soft and it held up as much as it could with all of the juices from the meat and slaw. The sandwich was just piled up with meat so after eating half I was almost full. The fries were your average fries nothing special, I'm kicking myself now because I should have gotten onion rings. Next time for sure! While this place is a little out of the way for me when I'm staying in Anaheim I would gladly make that 45 minute drive back for another one of those yummy sandwiches. I definitely want to try some of the other sandwiches on the menu like the Prime Rib sandwich or the "Don Won". I will be back soon and I highly recommend coming here if you want a bomb sandwich! read more
