My family & I loved eating at the Corner Deli back at their old location off Ontario Mills Drive & we were so excited to eat the Corner Deli again since they moved locations. The new location is located inside a Wienerschnitzel & you can tell that the sandwiches are made at a fast location because the sandwiches were made pretty sloppy. One of our sandwiches that usually has cheese INSIDE the sandwich, was made with the cheese thrown on top of the sandwich opening (exactly how Wienerschnitzel throws cheese on the opening of their chili cheese dogs). Our sweet potato fries tasted heavily like regular french fries which told us that they make their sweet potato fries in the same fryer & oil as their regular fries, not to mention it was the smallest portion of fries we had ever seen for what we paid for. The sandwiches were just inconsistent from the others, one of our hot sandwiches tasted like it had been sitting out because it was not hot at all. We can tell that this is completely new ownership & made like it comes from a fast food franchise which kind if sucks since Corner Deli was known for their sandwiches & made SO good. I ordered the Korean BBQ. Portion was big, lots of meat. Service was great too. The only request I have is to figure out how to make the sandwich less soggy. Too much juice assuming from the meat is making the last few bites of the sandwich too soggy. But overall great sandwich and great team who cares. P.S. I don't know about what the other reviewer was saying about not having enough flavors. The sandwich has more than enough flavors! If she wants more seasoning, you wouldn't taste the meat at all. read more

The menu situation is confusing AF. There isn't a website and the menus posted on yelp from less than a year ago is different. I found out when I called in an order for pick up for a few people in the office. I asked for 3 different things. "we don't have that." I literally said, did I call the right place? The food was not fully ready when I showed up and I went and did a few other things first. It is quite busy in there and I believe there were 2 people working. I got a salad and it was a pretty sad one. I asked for 1/2 tuna and 1/2 egg salad. Out of tuna and they don't have egg salad. So I opted for the chef's salad. The sandwiches looked okay. I work with mostly men, in a man's industry so they're easy. I can probably dump prego into a pot with some ground beef and they would be okay with it lol. (I could never) I am still on a hunt for a place that had alfalfa sprouts in their salads or a sandwich! How come the world hates sprouts? IF I come again, I wouldn't get the salad. I was so bummed when the original location closed down, and was relieved to see that it had been resurrected under new ownership and is located inside the Ontario Mills Wienerschnitzel. I chatted with the new owner and he is very dedicated to keeping the sandwiches the same as they were at the original locations. The recipes, ingredients and sandwiches are all here. After picking up the hubby from his Fontana drop yard, he wanted Rubios. I only do Rubios with a coupon, and I was craving a deli sandwich. We headed to the nearest Rubios, and just a few doors down was this Corner Deli! I talked my hubby into a sandwich. We were not disappointed, just the opposite. We were pleasantly surprised with one of the best deli sandwiches since before Mann Deli in Long Beach closed right after 911. The Mann family was from Long Beach, NY. The hubby ordered the Smokehouse and I picked the Penguin. We also ordered a side of onion rings. The sandwiches are of good portion and were very filling. The onion rings were very crunchy, just how I like them. I made sure to save this deli in my favorites. I can't wait to pick the hubby up on Friday and hit this deli again. They were extremely busy for lunch so their phone rang busy when I called and when I was there it kept ringing. I've always heard great things about this place. I wouldn't say they were as amazing as I've heard, but they were pretty good! The staff are super friendly and welcoming. Prices are fair, and the portions are perfect - not so big to be two meals but not so small to leave you hanging. We ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, Korean BBQ Sandwich, and Honey Turkey Sandwich. Out of the three, really only the Korean BQQ was worth raving about. The meat was juicy, the sauce was sweet, and the whole thing just tasted amazing. The Honey Turkey was good, for a basic turkey sandwich. I love squaw bread, so that was good. I wish there had been way more honey mustard sauce so that I could justify the 'honey' in the name though. That would have made the sandwich bomb. The Buffalo Chicken was honestly a little lackluster. The bacon wasn't great, and the cheese overwhelmed everything else. There was also a hair in the cheese, which was off-putting. The regular and sweet potato fries were great though! Not steak fries, but thicker than fast food fries. They both had a great flavor, and the regular fries come with a garlic aioli that was really good. Overall, it was a good lunch. This was definitely just a standard deli shop, nothing in particular that was special or outstanding. Ingredients are average and the ambiance in there was super dark and old. The Philly cheesesteak was not terrible, I would come back to eat again for the sake of supporting small business. It did lack flavor and seasoning, and the cheese they are using for a cheese steak was extremely rubbery. Overall, if you want a good sandwich, you can definitely come here, or just go to your local jersey mikes/jimmy johns to get your fix. My new job is making me use Yelp! much more than usual. This spot had the highest rating for a sandwich place in my immediate area. Service was friendly and efficient and the menu board was easy to understand. I hate when places post stupid sandwich names but fail to tell you what's in it. Easy to see the ingredients of both standard and specialty sammies. My coworker loved his clubhouse sandwich and my Korean beef sandwich was quite serviceable.
