Has been having some low back issues for quite some time. My sister recommended I see an acupuncturist and my insurance referred me here. Dr Lee and his staff are all excellent! Though busy, wait time is very minimal. Patient rooms are clean and peaceful. Soft music is played, lights are dimmed, needles are inserted where needed and muscle stimulation pads are applied. 30 minutes later and you're feeling a difference. Terrible experience and zero compassion. I had an appointment at 5:00 PM and was running late due to heavy rain and traffic. I drove from Garden grove. Left at 4:30 pm. Typically it takes 30 min to get there but due to the rain it took just a bit longer. They called at 5:10 PM to explain, and my GPS showed I'd arrive at 5:18 PM after taking a wrong exit. Their grace period is 10 minutes, but they said the doctor would extend it to 15 minutes if I arrived by 5:15. I asked if they could wait just three more minutes, but the doctor refused. After driving nearly an hour in rush-hour traffic with shoulder pain, I arrived inside the office hoping for some understanding. Not once did the doctor or office manager come out to acknowledge the situation, apologize, or offer to reschedule in a reasonable way. (Coming in the next day) instead I got put on a waitlist for the next week. I wasn't asking for a full appointment--just some help instead of being turned away while standing in their office. This place lacks empathy and professionalism. If you're looking for a practice that actually cares about patients, I'd recommend going elsewhere. read more

Very disappointed at the billing stiff. In fact, their actions are so sketchy, it borderlines fraudulent deceptive billing practice. Cornerstone Acupuncture says they will work with your insurance, and require you to email them your information first to have them confirm your coverage. After emailing them my insurance, they called me back to indicate that they do accept my insurance, and my co-pay would be $20 a session, which I agreed. However, after 2 sessions (1 virtual and 1 on-site), I get a call from them to tell me that because they didn't verify my insurance correctly, my rate is no longer the promised $20 per session. According to Cornerstone's billing department, because I haven't met the deductible, I now owe them $130 for past services rendered. Although I want to give them the benefit of the doubt for an honest mistake, the fact that they made no effort to remedy their own mistake makes this whole charade sounds like a classical "bait and switch", to which I just felt cheated. I would highly caution anyone against visiting Cornerstone Acupuncture unless you want to be quoted one price and only to be told afterwards that it would be a different higher price. read more

Have been going to Cornerstone since 2019. I am so grateful I found them. The whole staff is very friendly and helpful. Dana, the massage therapist, is amazingly skilled with her hands. I have/had severe sciatica pain and neck pain that was debilitating. I owe my ability to walk to Dr Lee and his staff. I could barely walk up one step when I first came to Dr Lee. Today I am actually hiking again. Highly recommend. read more

theres many addresses for the exact same name so I'll write it all i went to cornerstone acupuncture and saw jenny choi and her assistant beth i went in with feet and ankles and calves pain.... i told her i have a 10/10 on a pain scale in the feet. jenny was mean and not explaining things and tried telling me about my diet etc. and saying she can't say anything because she doesn't know after i just got done telling her the things she needed to know. then during treatment she didn't tell me how she was going to do anything... she started putting needles in and i asked her if im supposed to tell her if it hurts or what she told me yes she can pull the needle out slightly at that point. then she wasn't treating my feet and ankles and i asked why. she said it could be painful. i told her im already at 10/10 so why not try it. she refused and said she wanted to do it at a later time. i told her thats what im in here for mostly so it couldn't get much more painful so it won't matter to me too much. she stomped out of the room like a child not explaining anything, and she slammed the door. her assistant stayed there, i said she's insane... beth said "you're insane"... i said im asking what is going on with no response do you really think im supposed to just sit and take it? she didn't even explain to me to let her know if the needles hurt. she's not doing her job. then she started putting some type of electrodes on my calves and at first i was very scared to be with her at all as she was very mean to me.... then she did a good job of explaining what is going on and let her know if its too much and what its supposed to feel like etc.... i said "see even you are doing a better job of explaining than she did...i asked here several times what she is going to do and how other acupuncturists i didn't like didnt explain the procedure." i had my knee fixed with one treatment about 25 years ago and don't remember how much pain etc it was or what all they did...i told the doctor that, and she laughed at me and did the same exact thing of not explaining things like others i don't like. i didn't call her insane to her face, but the assistant beth thought its perfectly fine to call me insane! just wow. they left me in the room alone in the dark hooked up to machine wiht needles in me and couldn't ask any more questions so i had to get on the phone with thier manager to tell her what was giong on. read more

No stars for this place. I've been trying to call and no-one is answering the phone call. They always tell me my insurance is not reimbursing them so they would not take me. So not caring and not helpful at all. Do not go here. read more

I have been attending both of their locations about a year or so. I suffer from chronic back pain, sciatica, numbness from multiple herniated discs, spinal stenosis(it happens with age). This basically leaves me with some form of pain/ numbness or combo every day. I was offered this form of therapy from my doctor, as I'm willing to try anything to deal with this constant issue. They also offer chiropractic care at both locations with the addition of another doctor in the year. It's great having both types of care in on facility! The staff is always friendly & helpful. They make it easy to make or change appointments. Note: make changes 48 hours ahead of time or I believe there can be a charge. The office & treatments are run very efficiently which I appreciate. Since I'm always coming from work & have to return after my appointment. I don't think I've ever had to wait past appointment times at either location. They have their original or main location in Irvine, close the the 5 FWY. So, it's easy to get to and for me get back to work or home several miles away. The other satellite or additional location is in Fullerton. I use this location when I'm busy at work, due to it being much closer to me. The Fullerton office has limited availability of days & hours so schedule right away, if that works best for you. I believe it's open TH & FRI currently in the afternoon until even. Call for current hours. Irvine is open mon-Fri , I forget when it opens, so check for those hours. I tend to keep the same day & appt time for months on end. The Doctors are great! They answer all my dumb questions & are always very friendly. I love companies nag here to get pain relief. I always feel great when I leave. I'm always an inch taller walking out, I love it. Dr. Lee is amazing. If you are in pain, he can help!! I have four slip disks, spinal stenosis, debulging disks and sciatica pain for almost three months. The nerve pain just did not go away, but I just wanted to try Acupuncture hoping it might help!! Dr. Lee reviewed my MRI, I was able to see the results after first sitting. I got a groupon for this place for three massages for $75, which was a very good deal. I called to book my first appointment and the soonest one they had was over a month out; it was the holidays though so I wasn't too shocked. I got my massage and went to book the next one when I was there. Again, the soonest one now wasn't for two months, so I booked it. Fast forward to the day before that appointment and they called me and told me the masseuse was out sick and I had to reschedule another 45 days out. Fast forward again now to the day before that appointment and they texted me saying my groupon had expired and my last two appointments were not only canceled but I couldn't use them ever! So bottom line this place is super unprofessional and doesn't care at all about customer service. I do NOT recommend them at all. read more

A girl friend of mine gave me this massage for a holiday gift, because as a toddler parent, she knew I could use one. So, I go to schedule my appointment and no on answers when I call. I got a return call back and spoke with a Jenny. She advises me that they have changed their minds and no longer honor the deal and that Groupon should have cancelled them and refunded the money. I asked why, she explains they just had a hard time keeping up. Seems like a poor business decision to offer a service one can't fulfill. It's too bad because I was interested in possibly adding on an acupuncture. I my friend and she said no one told her anything. She was shocked and disappointed. read more

I have to say I'm disappointed with my experience. When I called to make my appointment I was told it would be $70 for acupuncture which is what I came prepared to pay. The acupuncture itself was ok, I get that different people have different needling techniques but I personally appreciate a more gentle touch and found myself jumping and wincing during a treatment that I'd normally find relaxing. Also the rooms are freezing and when the Dr. came back in to remove the needles he just flipped the lights back on without easing them up which would have been considerate seeing as I'm lying face up stating straight at the lights. Ultimately all of that would have been something I could look past if it were not for my experience at check out. I was told AFTER my treatment that it's actually $90 for my first visit and when I let them know that I was told when I made my appointment that it would be $70 and that's what I was prepared to pay they insisted I had to pay $90 and were unwilling to honor the price I was quoted over the phone. I understand mistakes happen but for $20 you lost a patient that could have been a long time customer. I do not recommend this place. read more

i was a spaecitabe local guy that has hasd4 surges on my left knee . and in pain it was messed up . i also had cervical spine fusion. an d hip replacement and told i need lumbar fusain and ye #5 on knee . i was getting shots in spine and knee every cupple months . but since i got lucky to try treatments. but when DR Hasan aliened my spine . and DR LEE put pin cood Hedley ill nd then he added a lite and heat and vibration . that makes me able t have a cupple good days a week and have even been able to lower my pain med so the office is up stares , yes take your time i do and the staff is friendly and profinioal . you will be doing your self a favor .aren't you worth "good health and happy life read more
