But the Food It saddens me to say I left dissatisfied because I got the large brisket fries and I wasn't crazy about the cheese sauce or the brisket the issue was the amount of fat that came with the brisket and yes I know brisket can be fatty but the fries had a lot of chunks of fat over the actual brisket meat they skimped on the actual brisket meat and loaded it up with fat( see pic for details) and the fries were left soggy from the cheese sauce that didn't have flavor or good texture. I wasn't too crazy about the bbq sauce collection the Kansas was good but the other flavors didn't taste that good which left me a bit disappointed especially for a bbq joint . Yummy! We frequent this amazing place in Beaumont so it's so awesome to see them grow! They have more options on the menu, so that was nice to see. We ordered the trip tip plate and brisket. At the time they were out of sliced brisket so we had chopped. It was just as tasty and tender. Portions are in the perfect filling amount. Food is brought out hot and presented well. Inside is clean, big enough where you are not being squished or feel claustrophobic. Tried the breakfast burritos here and couldn't be more satisfied, in short they were amazing. I got one with sausage and my husband got the pork belly. The flavor of both were delicious and packed with the right amount of each ingredient. They had all of the sauces available, different bbq flavors and a ghost pepper hot sauce. Both the Brisket and Pulled Pork meats were delicious. They had great flavor and I'd also say that the fries were just as tasty. If I had to complain about one thing, it would have to be that it had a little too much of the cheese for my liking. But my husband would not change one thing. He absolutely loved everything about it. I hope to return soon and try other things. We both ordered a large and it literally was A LOT. I was only able to eat 1/2. So I brought it home and my son ate the other half so technically two people can eat a large and get full. The only reason I am giving four out of five stars is because this was our first visit. First Amigo was this sad, cold ,thin 1 sliced of brisket! Second one was their chicken which has a fair enough of meat and with flavor! Third one was their pulled pork again fair enough of meat. But, again very bland no salt or flavor. For a BBQ place the meat should stand alone! But, I am glad we did have the sauces to bring a little flavor to our mini bao plate. I order the fries with brisket. The brisket was delicious. It was moist, but it was lacking flavor. Same with the french fries it could've added some salt. And they advertise these fries on Instagram with tons of toppings and all I received on mine were cheese and a little sour cream. The medium barbecue fries were $20 and to me they were overpriced. There wasn't a ton of brisket on the french fries so $20 for less than a half a cup of brisket and french fries is kind of over the top. Some context: my wife and I love barbecue. We happened upon Cornerstone's original location in Beaumont about a year ago. Absolutely loved it. Heard the Redlands location was opening, and were very excited to check it out, especially as we are local to the Redlands area. The good: the meats we had were darn tasty (brisket, pulled pork, and burnt ends, although the burnt ends were quite a bit fattier than we would have liked); the beans were, once again, some of the best I've ever tasted; the customer service was quite friendly; and the ambiance was pretty much what you would hope to find at a barbecue joint. The certainly NOT so good: I'm willing to pay for good barbecue just as much as the next guy. But holy cow, paying $8 for a side of beans, or a side of fairly basic coleslaw is just plain ridiculous (or $8 for mac and cheese??)! From the bottom of our hearts, we sincerely want this place to survive. Redlands needs a legit BBQ place and I think this can be that place. However, if I can speak directly to the owners right now, you are not going to survive if you keep your prices where they are at. Most people will come to this place once, spend the high prices, and never return. Some people will come once, and then maybe return several months later, when they have some special occasion and feel justified in spending a huge amount of money on some barbecue and sides. But my guess is you would love to have people returning regularly, and that's only going to happen if your prices come down. Going to a cool, local barbecue joint should be something you can do on the fly with a few friends. Not a place where you have to save up for a couple of months before you can eat there! Once your prices come down, we will be back. Otherwise, probably not for a few months, and even then, I'll be purchasing much less from the menu. read more

But they renovated it nicely with wooden walls and western decor. It's clean and comfortable. Redlands is in desperate need for brunch options so we were pleasantly surprised when we discovered Cornerstone was offering brunch on weekends. We went and were the only people there so service was quick (rare for Redlands brunch on weekends). We ordered the breakfast bowl and breakfast burrito. The food came with pickles, sauce, and delicious pickled onion slices. It was amazing. So incredibly flavorful that was appropriate for a breakfast meal.
