Pizza was well above average but we only ordered a basic cheese and pepperoni. Service was excellent. We ordered a delivery hours ahead of time so that we could know when it was coming and be off the beach in time to receive it without getting caught in the log jam of dinner time orders and have a long wait. This was our first trip to OBX so we didn't know what to expect so when we called and were told 2 hour wait time we were shocked! For delivery it was 2hrs 45 mins! Never had a pizza take that long. Worst pizza I've ever had in my life. I asked for a large pie to go and the person taking my order truly could not understand what I meant which started out my experience here on a sour note. They just couldn't grasp what a pie was.....Whatever. We got a large pie and a salad. Somehow they managed to mess up our salad by forgetting chicken. We waited at least an hour for this small, simple order. There's not many places to eat in that area but I would have preferred to starve over this pizza. The only reason why this place has 1 star from me is because their subs are good. Their pizza is awful, it tastes like cardboard with cheese on top. We have ordered from her multiple times thinking that maybe it was a bad pizza or someone didn't make it right. But every time the cheese tasted like plastic and the dough tasted like cardboard. We were vacationing and picked up a local restaurant guide to the Outer Banks. Saw this place in the first few pages and nearby, so decided to try. Went with a basic cheese pizza. The crust was the best we have had, chewy and not too salty. But, the recipe called for too little sauce. The cheese pizza was literally, well, CHEESE pizza. If you look at the cut side, there is no trace of red tomato sauce. Perhaps this is a matter of personal preference, but we are not used to "pure" cheese pizzas. If you are like us, be sure to ask for extra sauce and lighter on cheese when you order. It will be a much better pizza for you that way. But, if you like it the Corolla way, then this is the place to go for pizzas. One thing about cheese pizzas with too little tomato sauce is that they make a poor candidate for reheat. You literally have to consume the whole thing while it's hot. Once it starts to cool, it tastes like cardboard and no amount of reheating could save it. For a pizza at this price point, it is best if it can be enjoyed a bit more fully. read more

The next day we decided to place a large wing and sub order over $150 .. the girl we ordered from said we needed to order " 2 pizzas" in order to have it delivered. I get a two pie minimum for delivery because of" minimum amount " but ... hello we were well over a two pie minimum. My 2 star review is the rude response from the girl staring " we have to make our cut off somewhere ". Apparently money was not her concern for the business. We LOVE Corolla Pizza! Every time we visit this is on my list for MUST DO! The delivery guys are great and the pizza is amazing! If you're looking for something new, try the Monte Calvo. It's unusual for me to comment on a place where I have not eaten personally, but hear me out. We have made three visits to Corolla, and we ordered the pizza and mozzarella sticks for our children on a night we were celebrating our anniversary. My children, both teenagers, love pizza, and will pretty much eat anything. However, they raved about the quality of this pizza, devouring the entire pie and the mozzarella sticks in one sitting. While I had a good meal, I wished I were with them for one of "the best pizzas we ever had." The facility is better than it looks, reminding me of many local pizza businesses I have seen over the years. The staff was nice, but a little preoccupied with personal life during my visit. It was worth the short wait. All told, they do a great job, and we will be back. read more
