The counter people were not helpful or sympathetic to our situation. All we asked is to have the rental pu location changed to their location. Nope they just said they were booked up and no cars were available.I called and spoke with Dakota the Mgr at Niagra Falls location. She said we would have to pu car there.So we had to Uber to other location for$63. We got thereunder Dakota took care of us and she said this happens frequently with package booking and it's a known problem. Of course if im flying into the airport you want the location at airport ridiculous! Dakota took care of us she gets 5+ stars the operation and Expedia get 0. Not the way I wanted to start out our trip especially after getting in late because of a late arrival because our connection flight got delayed.

Used the drop box so i called them to request a refund for the unused portion. Checked my statement and they never did any adjustments. The rep was super nice and friendly. Asked about our flight and demonstrated an interest in helping us get on our way. The hick up was a not having the type of car that I reserved - we wanted a luxury sedan but she offered a small lux SUV. The contracting was super quick and we were off to our adventure within a few minutes. Way to go National thank you.

I needed a rental for…read morea few weeks due to to a car accident and when I went to pick the car up, they didn't have any available. They gave me a few options and I ended up waiting about 30minutes, which wasn't ideal, but they made up for it by giving me a cool car to drive for a few weeks and going above and beyond in their customer service skills! They even setup a personal wifi hotspot for me to use while I waited for the car. I returned the car today and the experience was seamless. DJ answered the phone and was super cordial and kind and saw that I was looking to leave in a hurry and get back to my day and so moved the process along. The people here really make the experience great, so if you're looking to rent a car and this locaation is conveneint, I recommend it!

I got a text that I could check-out online and skip the line - so, when we arrived we saw a sign that said if you're Hertz rewards to go downstairs (via elevator) to their window - which we did. I was then told that if you use the text it takes you out of their system and I had to go back upstairs. So, we had to take the elevator again and when we got up there, now there were 5 people in line. When I got up to the counter, I was told I should be able to go downstairs and they'd take care of me. I refused and so then they "upgraded" me complementary and I ended up with a HUGE SUV which is not what I wanted to drive around (gas and also parking issues) so I had to go back to the window and ask them to put me in the rental I actually booked. It took over an hour - as mentioned - and it was stressful and not at all the Hertz experience I'm used to. If this location doesn't offer the text check-out then they should notify Hertz to discontinue that for people picking up here. Drop-off was a bit easier and went smoother than expected - I showed up earlier expecting it to not be fast but it was like other airports and it is nice that it's so close to the ticketing area (directly across the street).

The agent told us they out would put a hold on our card to cover any tolls we passed through, and the difference would be returned to us after the trip. For a 4 day rental they put $190 hold on our card, which is more than you'd pay in tolls driving down the entire east coast and back. During our trip, we passed through (1) toll, and now a month later the hood turned into a full $190 charge...they are claiming the charge is for the option to use their toll pass which is definitely not the option we were told. We called to dispute it and were told we'd have to go to the rental location to dispute it...which is absolute BS, we are in NC and not able to travel back. I would never do business with this dishonest company again, and I strongly suggest you avoid them too

Turned in one at ROC airport for a replacement that was great. If Avis tightened up their cleaning turnaround between rentals, this would easily be a 5 star experience.
