We arrived at 8:00 pm on a Thursday evening. It was NOT busy. We were asked if we would sit in the bar, because it was quieter. The bar area was freezing. The waitress was a little slow coming to our table. We ordered drinks. She brought out chips and salsa and water to the table and we placed our order. There was a placard on the table pointing out the Ladies Night Half Price drinks on Thursday evenings. It took quite a while for the drinks to get to the table (and we were sitting in the bar)! Our salads FINALLY came out about 5 minutes before our food, which led us to believe the waitress had forgotten the salads. The steaks were mediocre and the baked potatoes were warm, but NOT hot. The waitress never came back to the table to ask if we needed anything , including refills on our waters. When she FINALLY brought our check she had charged us full price for our drinks. She took the check and told us she would check on it. When she finally brought the check back she informed us the drinks we had ordered, which were $ 9.99 each were not included on the 1/2 price drinks, even though no mention of it was noted on the menu. She DID give us the half price for the drinks, even though she said they weren't obligated to do so. The real kicker was the initial bill was over $ 80.00, which was charged to my credit card. Then the revised bill was $ 60.00 +. We were told the first bill of $ 80.00 would be credited back to the card in 2-3 days. The final/corrected bill of $ 60.00 was also charged to my card. Trust me when I say that $ 150.00 for that meal was absurd! We would NOT recommend this restaurant! read more

Have never been so disappointed in a food establishment. Waited 45 minutes for the food just for it to be burnt. Ordered steak fries but I received regular fries. Food was terrible, grill was not clean, cooks were not wearing gloves. read more

New Corralito Steakhouse finally open in Lubbock. Like most restaurants they are dealing with wait staff shortages but we had excellent service. There was a 35-40 minute wait for a table. (Like most restaurants they had tables available but not enough servers to handle them.) The wife ordered the ribs with corn on the cob and Mexican rice she said the ribs were not fall off the bone but they were very tasty the rice was excellent the corn was good albeit a little bit small. I had the arrachera steak that was recommended by the server it came with a house salad and a loaded baked potato both plates also had some sliced onions with a grilled jalapeno. Steak was excellent only complaint would be that the platter was not hot enough to keep the steak hot during the meal. We were given some chips with two types of salsa the green was okay but the molcajete dark red was excellent good kick to it very flavorful. read more

Waited for over an hour for 2 filet's to find out that the order was just turned in 30 minutes prior to asking for the manager. The manager stated that it takes time to cook a 10 oz filet, medium well. So we wait some more and another manager came over to see what sides we wanted to substitute because "they just ran out of baked potatoes" That was all we could take as everyone around us had been served, even people that came in long after we ordered. My wife never did get her salad We ordered the chocolate cake. Took about 15 min to get to us. It was ok. A little dry Server was friendly but they are understaffed. Probably won't go back. The food itself was "ok". I ordered a filet and had to return it because it wasn't cooked right. When it came back, it still wasn't cooked the right way. The service was very OK. She was sweet but not attentive and a tad slow to service. The restaurant charges an extra 3% fee for using a CC but what we paid in our fee was more than 3%. Decided to try out the new steak house. Wasn't a fan. Got "melted cheese" for an appetizer, got to eat that with a fork, oily as heck. Then got chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. I got the red sauce boyfriend got the green. Red sauce was what seemed like tomato paste over super thin enchiladas, the concept of putting all the chicken on top of the enchilada was new to me. Quite literally the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. . We had a large party and the manager saw fit to only provide 1 waitress to handle all of us. She did the best she could but management thought she should take care of all of us on her own, from ordering drinks, food and refilling chips and salsa. I asked management for backup, which she provided but when it came to pay the bill, another disaster ensued. It took an hour to get out credit cards charged. I felt like we were being held hostage. Food was mediocre at best and after all the hassle should have been considerably comp'd. read more

Went on a Tuesday evening. Not very busy so we were seated right away. The waitress was with us quickly and got our orders in. For an appetizer we ordered the cheese melt. Flavor was good but it showed up cold enough we needed a knife to cut it into pieces. Think cheese without the melt. We both ordered steak which were ok except mine was over cooked (ordered medium rare) and I requested my potato dry. Unfortunately my potato arrived fully loaded. When I informed the waitress she obviously still did not understand what I wanted and brought more butter and sour cream on the side - never got a dry potato. Another thing we never got was our salads. After quizzing the waitress she told us "the salad guy didn't show up tonight". Which is fine, but why didn't she say so when we ordered them? The food that was cooked properly and warm was actually not bad, but there were far too many issues with this experience to recommend them. They are priced as a higher end steakhouse which makes it unlikely we will go back to risk another poor experience and still spend $200 on dinner. read more

Oddly enough, it's hard to find a really good steak in Lubbock unless you cook it yourself. And when Corralito opened I was skeptical it would be an exception to the rule of mediocre steaks in this city. However, having eaten at Corallito twice, I can say I'm pleasantly surprised. Both times my NY strip was prepared to proper doneness, the quality of the cut was high, and the preparation was good. In short, these were quality steaks. Not as good as Bob's in Dallas, but possibly the best in Lubbock. Salads, baked potatoes and desserts also good, but not impressed with the garlic mushrooms. As others have noted, service is on the slow side, but I'm not an impatient person, so not a problem. Good things come to those who wait. Those in a constant rush are rarely satisfied. read more
