I guess I can't really rate the actual quality of repairs conducted on my vehicle because after 9.5 months I still don't have the car back. I waited over a month to bring my car in and was 'told' by the service manager it may be a 4-8 week repair when finally delivered. No updates ever provided unless I called and/or came in. At the six (6) month mark, I was told my car was a "younster" as it relates to the duration of time my car was there. With my health declining, I bought the car to fulfill my lifelong bucket list. It's now been 9.5 months w/ no info available on it's completion (~21K worth of repairs). I'm so frustrated and there's really nothing I can do to get off the 'back burner'. I had so many plans that included the car & now it's simply another disappointment in my life. Again, they may do good work and hope I have the opportunity some day to express just exactly that. read more

Took my 66 corvette in to have it completely assessed for repairs total repairs were estimated at $40,000. Plus you had to put done 50% deposit before start of repairs. They had the car 4 months I finally got the car back with some repairs done they charged me for repairs they didn't even do, billing fraud. Before leaving had mechanic look at discrepancies documented and took pictures. Service manager called me after I took car home ask to bring it back to make it right they picked up car had it for another month sent it back with repairs still not complete and items that were working before now not working. Took it to another mechanic who could not believe the work that had been done. It's been there 1 month with almost all corrections addressed. I have been a 20-year client of Corvette Mike. Management policy and procedures have changed in the service department in recent years. I can't speak on the sales side. In particular, after my former Corvette Mike mechanic/service manager left awhile back, remaining core management tried reorganizing as new personnel/roles came, went, stayed and evolved. I recently needed to install a new crate engine that required the camshaft and heads swapped. The hourly rate they charge is at fair market rate as it should be and I have no problem with that. It reflects the increase in cost of living. However, they manage the bottom line through the hours and parts they charge. The following hours were charged to me: 8 hours remove and replace camshaft, 4 hours remove headers and exhaust, 8 hours remove cylinder heads and send out to resurface (another separate charge was added for sublet work performed), 10 hours remove short block, 10 hours replace short block, 4 hours install cylinder heads, 4 hours install headers, 10 hours to run break-in, set timing, reset idle, and test drive. Total 58 hours for engine work, plus an additional 15 hours to repair any engine wiring. Further, the parts charged were twice that of online retail. I was able to find almost all the name brand parts on Amazon for half the price they charged. For the more expensive parts, I purchased them elsewhere and brought them into the shop. The hours and parts charged above are factual. I paid for them. I was floored when I got the original estimate. It was way more than what was charged in the past. By the way, this is the 6th engine in my 1990 Corvette with 800,000 miles. You can follow my story on social media. I'm not a mechanic but I know the fair amount of time and effort that goes into an engine install, plus any other repairs and maintenance, just from my prior experiences whether inside or outside of Corvette Mike. You may find the hours and parts described above either excessive, at market, or a bargain. That's up to you to decide. I went ahead and engaged Corvette Mike for the engine install.... not because of Corvette Mike but solely for the one mechanic there who had worked on my car in the past. I will say that the quality of the work is very good. Because he is a "Corvette specialist", he knows all the little nuances involved with repairing and maintaining my Corvette. In conclusion, I am neither endorsing nor not endorsing Corvette Mike. I recommend that you shop around, which any prudent person would do anyhow. You may find your needs and budget met elsewhere. I wanted a 1969-70 Corvette since I was 8 years old (now 55), & finally in position to acquire one. Never owning a 50-year-old vehicle before, I needed to do some research before committing to such a large purchase. I called a few different Corvette shops, including one near my house, and none were interested in helping me until I bought a car. A bit counterproductive since there was no way of knowing price points of an engine rebuild, paint job, interior replacement, or any other Corvette specific items in order to figure out if a car for listed sale was at a fair price. The first time I called Corvette Mike, I got passed through to Richard in the Service Department, & what he wasn't familiar with, he consulted with the mechanics. I called back 3 or 4 times after, and got more information & knowledge each time. I knew whichever car I purchased, it was going to need a lot of work, so that enabled me to build the costs into my budget & purchase a car. When I finally received a 1970 Corvette purchased from out of state, Corvette Mike is where I brought it. I anticipated it taking a while, but I had confidence in the mechanic who was assigned to my car, Scott, that everything would be done carefully & with great detail. I periodically went & checked on it & Scott went over everything that was being done & why, in addition to giving me suggestions & options. Also have to mention Linseyann & the rest of the staff at the front counter. They were all cheerful, friendly, & accommodating over the phone & in person. So disappointed in this place. We took our car for the first time for a service and turn signal replacement. When they called to say the car was done and ready to be picked up, they informed us that the battery was dead so they replaced it. They replaced it WITHOUT CALLING US FIRST. That battery was about 8 months old and had a full warranty. On top of that, they charged $85+change to replace the battery. IF they had called us first, we would have had AAA come out and replace the battery for free and under warranty. And, we had had no trouble with that battery. The car started right up and was driven the 15 miles to get there with no indication of any type of battery problem. When we complained to the manager, he just gave us a shrug. Not even a sorry we didn't call first. First time using their service but definitely the last time ever. read more

Long overdue, had to take my Vette back twice. Spent close to 10,000.00 to do various electrical issues and chrome some parts. The repairs were not complete. Finally gave up and on drive home the one side pipe almost fell off. They offered a third time, but refused to let them fuck it u some more. Checked the place out a year ago. Only one guy working on several cars alone - overworked. He did not want to look at my corvette even though I drove there. That same day In the showroom area with the cars for sale I was totally ignored. Nobody there just wandered around on my way back to the service dept. Flash forwards to present. Called up recently to get one thing looked at and hopefully fully fixed. I was discouraged from making an appointment because (I had to listen at length about this) they were the only vette place, they are over a month out etc. I made the appt anyway - and the day before I was to go the service mgr called and cancelled me. Over a month out for an appointment and they cancel me the day before. Prob did me a favor. Good luck w these guys. read more

Corvette Mike Sales & Service: I first wanted to say that I have never owned a Corvette before nor have I every owned a classic car before. I've always had newer types of vehicles with warranty's. So I was skeptical in wanting a classic for years, but last week I bit the bullet and purchased a Vet sight unseen due to the state I live within. I spoke many times to Troy until I felt comfortable and it was that comfortability as to why I purchased the car. I had the car checked out by a third party and there was a couple issues which Troy negotiated to be fair in making my sale pleasurable. Since the initial sale I've set up the car to have mechanic work done to it and the customer service I've experienced is first class by far. I'm typically a harder type of person to please, but I'm a car lover and not a rich guy so to get this type of service from people who truly care is something you don't experience in Texas very much. My 2001 C5 has an annoying engine oil leak, I am the original owner and at 130,000 miles not unusual. Scott suggested removing motor to replace all seals, suggested I talk to Larry. Larry advised that fixing the seals would run $4,000, and that there is no alternative because the LS1 motor is a throw-away, not rebuildable, and no replacements are available. He has lots of reasons why. A check with Corvette forum brought an immediate response - Larry does no know what he is talking about. Clicking on forum advertisers showed lots of options for C5 LS1 motors. Keep Larry in the wash/detail bay, and don't let him out. read more

Let me preface by saying I've never taken my Vette here but I can relate to those negative views about these guys being rude(at least Mike). I have a C5 Vette, bored of the color and board of the automatic transmission. The car's in great shape with a few mods. I simply posted all over I wanted to possibly trade my C5 for another C5 that was a manual in a different color. Hopefully an even trade. Here is Mikes response to my message "Tony no one is going to do an even trade for a C5? Why would they? That's backwards? Mike" Odd reply for a guy who you'd think wants to attract some possible good Vette customers. He failed to realize I have cash and willing to upgrade(and can afford it). Interestingly I had a lot of responses from other Vette dealers who saw this as an opportunity to at least try to up sell me. His response was: " There are so many mods. This car has very little value", signed by Mike Vietro. In general, I think this is a rude reply. Troy, I wish you were around when I took my car to Corvette Mikes. Maybe you could have rectified the situation. I never heard your name when asking for assistance! Corrections: 1) My A/C stopped working just 3 (THREE) days after getting it back. It was a short drive up the coast when it stopped. I didnt take it back, because I didn't need anything else going wrong while in your shop, especially after Karl lost the key, and became rude. Why keep making a mistake over again? I took my loss and found someone who takes good care of my car and customers. 2) Karl wanted me to drive from Lakewood back to Anaheim to get a key made, which he said would takes 4 (FOUR) hours to perform, when I went about1 mile from myself home to a locksmith, and had several keys for my corvette made. No brainer??? In fact, I was told by no one that the key was lost when picking up my car. Karl could have let me know the key was lost when he called me saying my car was ready to be picked up. CLEARLY, THIS WAS NOT THE CASE. 3) The bill was $3,500. My total was $2591., and my husband paid additional $1,000. for my birthday. I can't help it if your records are not in order. They were honest and fair and gave me lots of options on what was a priority and what could wait. They also helped me decide on what they could do in order to keep the labor costs down. Scott even tried to buff the paint on my car, but unfortunately my paint is beyond buffing, however, I appreciate that he tried to save the paint job. I was searching high and far for someone that stocked a front bumper for a 1974 Corvette. No one had one in stock, others said they could have in a few days. Gone are the days of keeping parts stocked but Corvettes Mike came through for me. I had to have it on the vette and ready for paint that night! The vette was being filmed the next night but it would take me an hour or more in traffic to Anaheim and then another couple hours back to Hollywood area. I asked if I could pay online with a credit card and if they could walk the part out to a Uber driver I would send. They said YES!
