My request went through the Yelp Project page first and Jose was very fast with his response. He told me I could come in on a Friday morning as a walk in. Gino who took care of my intake was very friendly and made me feel welcome. They also had a comfy waiting area stocked with complimentary coffee and snacks, but I didn't need to wait long because I was out of there within an hour, oil changed and tires rotated. Their prices are fair and they accept both credit card and cash/Zelle (if you want to avoid the 3% credit card surcharge). During the oil change they also noted some things that will need repair, but weren't pushy with their recommendations. For that I am very appreciative, and will most definitely come back for their continued services.

A few hours later, I called for an update and was told they had found a parasitic battery drain and needed to run additional tests. Later that day, they called back and said the problem was simply a faulty battery and that replacing it would solve the issue. I approved the repair, which ended up costing about $430 for the battery. After picking up the car, I immediately noticed that some of the electronics were not working correctly and it still felt like the battery was being drained. Because the original diagnosis didn't seem to match the symptoms, I took the vehicle to Al's Electric Repair in Anaheim, a shop that had successfully fixed an electrical issue on another vehicle of mine. Al's quickly identified a parasitic drain caused by a camera installed inside the cabin. Once they repaired the drain, the electrical issues disappeared and the car has been running properly ever since. What concerns me is that the first shop initially told me they had found a parasitic drain, but later concluded that the battery was the only problem. Whether the battery needed replacement or not, the actual drain remained and was causing the issues I brought the car in for. Based on my experience, Al's Electric Repair accurately diagnosed and repaired the problem, and they have now successfully resolved electrical issues on two of my vehicles.

While Tom's team was working on that, I waited in their office. The office was air conditioned, with very comfy seating, and a clean restroom. There was also a water cooler, which I appreciated. The whole inspection took less than 45 minutes, and I was glad to hear that the car was good for purchase. I paid Tom with my card, and I was on my way to finish the purchase. While six other places quoted us $250-$350 for a "comprehensive" inspection, we paid Arnold $100, which was a STEAL for what he did, even more than what the others promised. He spent at least two hours thoroughly checking the vehicle, test driving it and walking us through every detail so we truly understood its condition. We were looking at buying an Audi Q4 e-tron that had a damage report. A reputable dealership told us it was "minor" and offered to take it to the mechanic for our peace of mind. After browsing Yelp and reading the amazing reviews, we decided to come here instead and I'm so glad we did. I had already done my due diligence and familiarized myself with the vehicle and potential issues. I asked Arnold very specific, technical questions that I already knew the answers to. I got three other quotes up to $2600 requiring to replace the bumper and paint the fender to match! The car is over 5 years old but the entire body is in great shape. I wasn't looking for a perfect repair. Lawrence at the start asked if I wanted a perfect restoration or something reasonable. I definitely wanted something reasonable because I didn't want to go through my insurance company for an aging car. After he finished the repair, you can't even notice any damage. I wish more body shops were more honest like Signature Auto body. Fernando and his group of A1 mechanics are no less than exceptional! I had tried both Ford dealerships (Tustin and Orange) to provide various service tasks, and both had failed miserably (double charged me, charged for work not done and generally overcharged for the air I breathe). After the alternator went on my Ford F-350, the tow-truck driver took me to HIS mechanic - Fernando at Auto & Diesel. He had the alternator replaced in about 4 minutes and hooked up my truck to a charger overnight. I picked it up first thing in the morning and their cost .......? 1/4 of what Villa Ford had quoted, and in 5 weeks 6 days less time. Got a problem with your car? Honestly, there is no one else I would trust with the safety of my truck and the lives of my 5 kiddos who ride in it. Auto & Diesel Service / Fernando and his Mad Scientists diagnosed the problems i was having on my diesel, his price was $1200 total, which saved me almost $2000 from a previous quote elsewhere. The guy even fixed a few things for free he said they were easy fixes so there was no need to charge. And yes Fernando does explain the problem, and what it'll take to fix it. Fernando is the face person who's more than happy to take your money (he needs to supervise & stay on top of his mechanics more) but behind the scenes is a bunch of non-English speaking LAZY untrained incompetent hacks! ALL completely untrustworthy... they don't know how to properly diagnose a vehicle that alone even repair one. **You better really inspect your vehicle after you've taken it here. I got second opinions from other mechanics who also said the turbos needed replacement. Even the Ford dealership quoted me an outrageous price for repairs. After doing my own research, I discovered the real issue was a broken bolt on the exhaust manifold. I decided to replace both the driver and passenger side manifolds with an updated design for better longevity--since the original Ford design is known to be flawed. Most places quoted me $1,300 to $2,500 and said the job would take about a week. Then I found Javier, a local mechanic with great reviews. He completed the job in just 2 days and only charged me $800. The repair was done right, and my truck has been running great ever since--this was about two years ago. Javier is an excellent mechanic. I always recommend him to friends and family. He does quality work at a fair price.

I took it to another mechanic and they quoted me $400 for an A/C diagnostic and another $2,400 to fix the evaporator. I was so obviously being taken advantage of, and being a single young woman who knows nothing about cars I was almost willing to pay. But LUCKILY I was able to do more digging on yelp, got an online quote, and was able to bring my car in the same day! Junior explained to me that I was obviously being taken advantage of by the Honda dealership and the previous mechanic. He let me know the problem wasn't as severe or expensive to fix as I was previously told. He was able to give me the best price to fix the problem and since I saved a lot of money, I was able to afford adding additional services that I desperately needed to get fixed like my axles, gasket, and spark plugs. I really appreciated the transparency, kindness and attention to detail. I was about 10 min late…read moreto my appointment and was ready to wait if they'd given up my spot. But I pulled up, and they took my car in right away to get started. I took my car in for new brakes as I'm getting new tires next week. Staff brought me to look at my rotors and break pads and explained options and "why". Not pushy or judgmental (I know nothing about cars) and I felt like he was really concerned for me that I had run my tire tread down as far as I had they test drove my car a few times after the install, and once I was on the road, I could tell an immediate difference.
