As if it's my fault they had to spend money doing repairs on the car LOL bullet dodged

Don't deal with this dealership. Absolute garbage and shady all around. Inquired about a vehicle from out of state. Salesman Mike McLean was super pushy the entire time to get me to buy even though the vehicle wasn't even ready yet. I should've known better when the first interaction based on the carfax they've already had the car an entire month. He told me they've had it two days. He acted like I was inconveniencing him the entire time. He clearly didn't even know what was going on with the vehicle. Giving me tons of different stories on it being serviced and then contradicting himself saying he doesn't know what's done to it. Continued to push me to buy even had the sales manager lance rogers call me on a weekend to try and put a deposit on it 14 minutes before they closed. Once again, without the vehicle even being cleaned yet and still in service for an issue with no idea how long it'd take to fix. Finally, on a Monday I decided to go ahead and put a REFUNDABLE deposit on it. Apparently they only do non refundable and I was the exception cause they're so nice but I know better and got it refundable, given I still haven't even seen it cleaned up yet. The next day they finally sent me updated photos with it washed, only took a week. Just to see they installed a front plate bracket drilling holes in the bumper (it never had one before and the cars been in Montana its entire life) this upset me as I don't need a front plate in my state and they just ruined an expensive bumper when they could've just asked me first knowing I'm out of state. They don't HAVE to install that. Anyways, I simply told Mike I was upset about that, never said I wanted to back out or get it fixed. And he immediately pushed to refund me even though I still would've taken the vehicle if he wasn't so rude about it. It's clear he didn't want my business since I got a good deal on it and he'd rather pawn it off to some local sucker and he'd have less work to do. Now mike and lance are completely ghosting me lmao when this easily could've been resolved with some simple accountability. Take your money elsewhere! Typical sleazy dealership who don't actually know anything about cars.

The vehicle continued making the same noises we initially brought it in for only louder and is now accompanied by a burning smell. When we returned to address the unresolved problem, we were informed that an additional part (a water pump) would need to be replaced at extra cost. This was confusing and frustrating, as the initial diagnostic failed to identify what now appears to be the actual issue. We were asked to pay again despite the concern we originally brought the vehicle in for never being corrected. We requested and retained the original parts that were replaced and later had them inspected by an individual who previously worked at Ford as both a mechanic and service writer. We were advised those parts appeared functional and should not have required replacement. Based on this, we believe the service department should take accountability for the incomplete diagnosis and cover the repair related to the water pump, which should have been identified during the original visit. Our concern has never been about avoiding payment, but about accountability for an incorrect or incomplete diagnosis that resulted in unnecessary expense, lost time, and nearly two weeks without reliable transportation. Unfortunately, communication during our visit became unprofessional. A staff member walked away from the discussion, and assistant management refused our request to escalate the concern to higher leadership or ownership. They also told us that the service director/manager was gone the whole week to Arizona even though we we supposed to have a meeting with him to come to a resolution. When we picked up my vehicle today, the service director/manager was back, so they told us false information so we couldn't discuss with their supervisors or owner. We were also told that if the dealership chose to cover the repair that was the actual issue, they may refuse to work on our vehicle in the future simply because we questioned the situation. We asked only for transparency, an explanation of the failed repair, and a fair resolution. Instead, we were met with defensiveness and dismissal from the service department. At this point, we cannot recommend this dealership due to poor customer service, lack of accountability, and unwillingness to properly address an unresolved repair concern. At this point, yes after the discussion with the service department, they are now doing my water pump fix which should been resolved in the first place but I'm glad they are doing it now but I am not pleased that the lady at the service desk said "well if we do this, then we are parting ways and no longer will work on your vehicle in the future". Simply because I mentioned facts that she told me were "your opinions" on what has happened, the incomplete diagnostic, that I was charged over $1200 for something that wasn't the issue in the first place. The service department needs to be investigated. They also deleted my review so I had to post this again.

Took the car back the next day and *they charged me to fix the tire.* I would expect any dealership to sell a $34k car with 4 good tires. (Plus I could have gone to leschawb for free) They also sold me several warranty coverages with the car. All of the warranties are with third parties. However these warranties were all falsely embellished. Turns out, oil changes are not covered even though they were highlighted in the $3,900 "full maintenance" package I purchased. If the dealership was willing to work with me on any of these issues I would not be writing this review. They were pretty uptight in their customer service to remedy any of these issues.

To put it plainly, purchasing a used vehicle from Clark Hyundai has become one of my biggest recent…read moreregrets. In mid-December 2025, I scheduled an appointment to look at a used Toyota they had listed. I arrived, test drove it, and raised a few concerns that could have affected my decision. When we returned to the dealership, I was then told the vehicle had already been sold and was only awaiting pickup. That was the first major red flag and showed a serious lack of communication between sales and management. The salesperson then presented me with another option: a used 2013 Hyundai Tucson. I was told the vehicle had an "impeccably clean" inspection and service record. Based on that representation, I moved forward. I traded in my vehicle, put an additional $1,200 down, and left believing I had purchased a reliable vehicle from a reputable dealership. Less than 3,000 miles and about two months later, the check engine light came on. The code was P2006 for the intake manifold. I contacted the dealership hoping for assistance or at least a reasonable conversation about repair costs. Instead, I received little communication and was left with a $500 repair bill. I assumed the issue had been fixed. Unfortunately, in early May, the vehicle began having problems again while driving. The RPMs climbed while the speed stayed stagnant, so I pulled over and restarted the vehicle. The check engine light came back on. When I scanned it, the same P2006 code returned. I called the dealership and explained that the same issue had come back after I had already paid them to repair it. I also explained that I am now in East Glacier Park for the summer and do not feel comfortable driving the vehicle along Route 2 in its current condition, especially in areas with little to no cell service. I asked for help towing it back to their facility for diagnosis and was told they would not provide a tow. This is extremely frustrating. The same issue appeared shortly after purchase, I paid Clark Hyundai to address it, and now the exact same code has returned. From my perspective, the original repair did not properly resolve the problem. I have made multiple attempts to contact the dealership, including voicemails for the General Manager, emails, and LinkedIn messages. Those attempts have gone unanswered. I understand the vehicle was purchased "as-is," but that does not excuse poor communication, lack of accountability, or failure to properly address a recurring issue. I was sold a vehicle represented as having a clean inspection and service history, yet within months I have had repeated mechanical problems and almost no meaningful support. At this point, I am asking for basic accountability and a reasonable solution. I expected far better customer care from Clark Hyundai. UPDATE: I received an inspection report showing the vehicle was 14,000 miles overdue for an oil change when they took it in. This raises serious concerns for me about material misrepresentation. UPDATE 2: I received a quote from another repair shop because I no longer have faith in Clark Hyundai to properly address the issues. My total repair costs since purchasing this "impeccably clean" vehicle are now around $2,000. My advice: steer clear of this dealership.

All of the individuals I've worked with (Josh/Brock/Brian) have made the new car buying experience better than I could have ever asked for. They gave me the best deal possible and they were beyond gracious with my trade in, making it even more of a no brainer to choose them as my dealer of choice.
