The pizza and salads from here a good for our local choices that delivery. However every time we've called it's been kind of odd, they don't have the friendliest way of communicating. For example, we live on a road that a neighbor orders from here regularly so when we call they often stop talking to us to yell out to other employees asking they just delivered to the other house. the first time this was funny but now ya just annoying. I'd give 3.5 if I could. But the food is worth the annoyance when we want a good pizza delivered. read more

I'm heartbroken writing this, but I've finally reached my capacity dealing with a business that doesn't appreciate or want MY business. I've been a loyal Cosmic customer for almost 20 years. Their product and customer service has been slowly declining over the last 5 years BUT I stuck with them anyway because (much to my teenage son's dismay who begs me to "just get Dominos") I CHOSE to support a local business. Tonight's ATTEMPT to place a nearly $60-$70 order was the last straw. The way I was just treated by the woman who answered the phone was obnoxious, to say the least. First off, answering the phone "Cosmic, please hold" is fine, but, then coming back to the phone with the statement "it's going to be an HOUR TO AN HOUR AND A HALF wait for delivery" before I speak is just RUDE. How about "I'm sorry, we're super-busy so unfortunately it's a long wait tonight, but would you still like to place an order?". When I questioned the wait time because I wanted to know if picking it up would be any faster she HUNG UP ON ME. So, I called back. Another woman answered the phone in the same flustered manner. I asked to speak to her cohort. When she came to the phone I asked her why she hung up on me and she said "I didn't think you wanted to order!". I can't place an order if you HANG UP ON ME! I told her I was unhappy with the way I was being treated especially since I've stood by them (cold, burnt pizza, wings, sandwiches, fries, and longer and longer wait-times for delivery over the years, etc.) aannddd guess what? She hung up on me again. For many years there were 2 women who worked the phones who were delightful. So delightful that when the food started slipping and the delivery was ridiculously long, I let it slide. I've been in hospitality for 25 years and I'll tell you the one thing I know FOR SURE- it doesn't matter if you have the best food, product, service (which btw, that ship has sailed for you, Cosmic)- it's the PEOPLE who represent your establishment that make or break your business in the end. I told the 2nd woman that I was going to call the owner tomorrow, but why bother? These are the people who he trusts on the front line of business, then that says all I need to know. See ya, Cosmic. This place is absolutely great!! The people are real friendly and personable, and they make great food. Their hours are perfect for people who eat late, and the menu is awesome. From the pizza to the sandwiches, you have a wide variety of toppings and choices to choose from. Their chicken cutlet sub!? Mouth watering... my favorite from them is The VEAL PARM DINNER! I've been going to Cosmic's since around age 5 or 6 (~1980 or so). The wieners are the best I've ever had in RI and I've tried lots of places. The pizza is wonderful and is always made exactly to order (I always ask for it a little extra crispy.) The only bad point which has only seemed to become an issue lately is wait time: it has increased dramatically. I used to order some wieners and a small pizza and could pick it up in 20-30mins. I've been on a bit of a "what the heck happened to...." mission with regards to wieners. Too many places leave me with a sodium aftertaste, which is fine if that's what you are into. Skip this place. Terrible experience at Cosmic with customer service. We ordered 3 pizzas for pickup over the phone and were told it would be 25 minutes. When we arrived for pickup after 25 minutes and it wasn't ready we asked how much longer it would be. They said they never put it in because they were slammed and thought it was delivery so figured they had some time buffer. I had a full house of people waiting for pizza, thinking they were going to get it in 25 minutes. They had to wait almost a full hour. We live in the neighborhood and are frequent customers. You'd think that the owner would try and remedy the situation. Anything would have worked to show that he believed we were valuable customers and they were apologetic over the situation they put us in. Instead, all we got was a litany of questions like "have you been here before?" , "has this ever happened before?", "do you live around here?", "are you going to come back anyway?". It's a shame I like their food so much because their customer service is horrible. I think I'm all done with Cosmic. I call and the woman that answers the phone barely even gets "cosmic" out and "hold on" to hear the phone clunk down and yelling in the background. Then after a couple minutes and asks can I help you? I respond I'd like to place an order for delivery. She responds with, "well its going to be an hour to 90 minutes" with such an attitude as if they she doesn't want the business! This has happened multiple times. Honestly I haven't even had my order delivered yet and can honestly say I will NEVER order here again. Customer service is absolutely terrible. Placed an order and my card number was not being repeated back the right way so after getting hung up on I called back to make sure the right card number was entered and order went through. When I asked I got a rude and annoyed reply and was told they "dont know" and were "working on getting my order put in" and that if the card doesnt go through I'll get a call back??? Pizza is good but Rather go to Little Johns or Crustys. But it IS still yummy. Wieners are good.For some reason they ALWAYS mess up my husbands sandwich order. How hard is it for a steak and cheese with mayo? So when doing a pick up or delivery just double check your order. I called to place an order and asked for a greek salad with no tomatoes and no olives and the guy on the phone yelled "Jesus christ why not just say what you want on the damn thing instead, making my life easier" and then grunted. and then hung up after I placed the order in the middle of me telling him my card info so I could pay. Worst experience of my life. Watch out and be aware!!!!! Their delivery drivers are scumbags and theives!!!!!! On Tuesday I sold my finding room table to a lady down the street who worked at greggs she gave me $150 for the table she arrived at my house around 5:15 was gone by 5:30 the latest, after dealing with that I didn't feel like cooking so I asked my daughter if she wanted pizza she said yes. Well I had to run to Walmart and get a couple of things so as I was walking out the door I told her the money for the pizza was on the entry way table (the $150 that I had just got for the table), I got home from Walmart ate and went to bed. Well the next morning I got up to get her to school I said where's the change from the pizza she said what change you said the money for the pizza was on the table ( my heart dropped ) she handed him the $150 thinking it was the right amount for the pizza delivery guy and yes I know it is partly her fault because she didn't count it. So I called cosmic someone answered the phone I told the whole story he said he would have the owner get back to me ASAP, 20 mins later the delivery guy called me swearing at me telling me I'm a scammer and everything else ( nice employee you got there). Waited all day no call so I finally got the owners number from my bosses, so I gave him a call and got no where there was a lady in the background screaming and swearing as I'm trying to talk to the owner. At this point it's not about the $150 because I know I will never see that but the point a grown man took that money from a 14 year old and he didn't even give it back !!!!! Have eaten here many times over the last few months. Their chef salad comes complete with the freshest of vegetables. Their tuna is amazing as is their stuffed shells. The spaghetti and meatballs are average. The pepperoni on their pizza if full of flavor. Large portions, great for leftovers. Consistently fresh and delicious. If you're looking for fine dining, move on. If your looking something fast and inexpensive, this is your place. This place is practically an institution. Hot weiners, fish and chips, burgers and fries, calzones, subs - its all good and exactly what you'd expect. The counter people are normally friendly and delivery people professional. Once a delivery was incorrect, they quickly made another order and fixed the problem. Pick up or delivery I would recommend. Eating there is not great. Ordered 2 sandwiches today 1 being a simple steak and cheese provalone cheese instead of American untoasted . I get my sandwich it's got pickles mayo and lettuce on it so I called back and had them send a replacement and low and behold they messed it up AGAIN! I didn't even bother to call them back I just considered the $27 for 2 sandwiches a big waste of money! This was my first order from them ever and I guarantee it'll be the last! Pickles and I pass by this place regularly. Tonight we were looking for something different and we remembered Cosmic. Being Friday we thought Fish and Chips, and a Clam Roll. I wanted to also try a Meatball Calzone. Since it's like 20 outside we chose delivery and it arrived quickly, the delivery person was personable and friendly. Fish and Chips was done well, NOT greasy. The Clam Roll was on a nice roll plenty of Clams. Copious amount of Tatar Sauce, Calzone was HUGE and tasty. RECOMMENDED. read more

I called to place an order for delivery and from the second the woman answered the phone it was a bad experience.
