I'm torn this place. Food is overall very tasty (clam strip roll was burnt, but what I deserve for ordering clams at a pizza place). But the service is most often really horrible. From the brusque, indifferent people taking phone orders, who act as though you're putting them out and can't seem to get any order right, to the guy "owner maybe", who shouted at and berated me for asking for an extra blue cheese dressing with my large buffalo chicken pizza. Cosmic Pizza... The Alex Special is the BEST burger I have EVER had anywhere. They don't skimp on the grilled onions and mushrooms which are grilled to perfection. The Vaughn Special is another out of this world sandwich. Shaved steak with buffalo chicken and blue cheese sounds a bit overkill but it totally works, again one of the greatest sandwich inventions. They also have the BEST buffalo chicken wings. The sauce is totally unique, unlike anything I have ever had. The wings and drums are HUGE. I'm DONE ordering from this place. I love the food but every time I order it's a bunch of rude ignorant people that answer. First of all I get charged a different amount for a delivery fee every time I order, I've gotten charged as much as $8 for delivering 2 minuets down the road!! I live in a dead end road so not a lot of people have heard of my street but every time I order from here they ask if I'm SURE I live in Warwick because "they've never heard of it before" and it's always more than an hour wait for once again living right down the road. This is probably the worst meal that Door Dash has brought to me. Starting with the Buffalo Wings, they were not only not spicy, but they were salted to the point of being inedible. They were also dripping in grease. They were delivered in an aluminum crimp container that was not completely closed and was open in the bag. The pasta and meatballs was also improperly sealed, resulting in a mess before it ever made it out of the bag and to the counter to be plated. The rolls were fine with the exception of the fact that the grease from the other bags was a absorbed in both of the bags containing rolls. Leaving the weiners which were okay, but not in competition with either of the top weiners in Rhode Island. I do enjoy cosmic pizza and here's why. The service is fast and usually I call my order ahead at lunch time takes about 15-20min for a wait which is good. I get the same thing at lunch every time lol however I've had their pizza and its good too. Nice tangy sauce not chunky, I'm a sucker for extra cheese on pizza. Not too greesy. Anyway my usual order is 2 wieners no onions(meat sauce is decent, sweet and dog has just enough snap when you bite into it. Sauce isn't runny so your bun doesn't get all soggy! :)) then of course I get the loaded cheese and bacon fries side of ranch to dip. It's real shredded cheese not that nacho cheese another plus. Their antipasto is very yummy too. Loaded with assorted Italian meats, lettuce your choice of dressing. Restaurant is smallish but it's a pizza place their not suppose to be big, their suppose to feel comfortable, with those benches/tables you know the ones. Hard and cold but some how comfortable and the same. No stools at counter or out door seating but staff is friendly women at counter always smiling. Prices aren't bad average. read more

They don't have an option on their menu for a second patty, so it came to about $17 with twice cooked greasy fries and a small fountain drink. I ordered the spinach pie and half a dozen doughboys and after half an hour I'm still waiting. I had the opportunity to try the wieners last night. They were mediocre and were not hot. But for $1.99 I didn't expect a lot. The doughboys that everybody is raving about were nothing more than pizza dough that was undercooked and doughy in the middle. I've still yet to try the pizza. Walking in and seeing large crowd waiting for take out, I was concerned about a wait. Needless worry to say the least. We were able to order within minutes and our food was out within 10min. We stayed in the dinning area, a bright dinner type feel and not large at all. We ordered wieners, fries, and an Italian grinder. The grinder was stacked and dressed just right. Weiner's are some of the best around. The staff were really pleasant and friendly. When we got our order we noticed we had more food than what we ordered. We advised the counter staff and their response was to keep the food and reimburse us for an over charge. Happily we kept the food and didn't require them to reimburse us. The steak however was alittle disappointing, thought the steak would be out of this world, since they are famous for their steak. I've been a customer of Cosmic since we had them delivering to myself and the rest of the "garden shop" guys in the mid - late 90s at Ann & Hope. I've been lucky enough to have a handful of jobs through the years that have kept me in the area for some of my favorite lunches. As far as their pizza goes - it's decent. I prefer the square pizza over their standard round though. Never been overly impressed with it. But their sandwiches and calzones are fantastic. Hearty steak fries, their tasty buffalo chicken, huge steak bomb, and though I wouldn't consider this place a true "wiener joint" their dogs are pretty darn good. During the day the owner, Dave, is scrambling around the kitchen. Greeting guests, talking politics, relationships, current events, etc. The food is relatively quick and always on point. My only reason for deducting a star is their prices are, to me, a bit high. They have decent specials but I always feel like I'm breaking the bank for lunch. But - maybe I'm just cheap? ONLY thing good about this place is some of their food. The service, however, is god awful. VERY rude women at front counters that answer the phones, and VERY rude cooks. The only reason I ever even order from this place is because some places nearby don't sell things that I'm craving like onion rings or dough boys. One time I was throwing a celebration at my house, and we decided to order from them. Everyone was very excited. We ordered A LOT of food, but that was going to be a bunch of money for them and we planned on leaving a really sweet tip. When we called, however, one of the cooks in the back (one of the few I have seen on my visits there) answered the call. Throughout my ordering process he kept saying "Are you done yet?" and "How much more food are you going to order?" which was just completely uncalled for considering the amount of business we were going to provide them with. I say "going to" because, as the call continued, the man kept berating us for the amount of food we were ordering. He kept huffing and puffing and arguing with me over the phone about the whole ordeal. As I hung up after placing my order, I had such a bad feeling in my stomach about how I was spoken to and treated, and felt even worse about giving this restaurant business. I called back not even 1 minute after and told them to just cancel the whole thing and forget it. The man, clearly enraged, asked very defensively "Well why do you want to go and do that now?!" to which I responded "The man that answered the phone was very rude to me, and I would much rather not spend my money supporting this restaurant" (I was clearly speaking to same man that answered originally, but I decided to take the high road and not yell at the man about how awfully I was treated by him--I just wanted my money back and to stop talking to this person). Well, after I said that, he said "Well we already started making your order soooo" very sarcastically. Mind you, this was literally not even a minute after I placed the order. Not much could have been done in that amount of time except maybe a frozen portion of fries was thrown into a frier? Anyways, we canceled the order with continued negative and uncalled for attitude from the worker. I've worked in a lot of fast food services before, so I understand that it can be frustrating, but the employees at this place are all related and think that because their food is good and they have been in business for a long time means that they can treat their customers however they want. Totally unprofessional, mean-spirited, and overall rude. Do NOT give this business your money. The service is not worth it, and I genuinely believe that the employees here would spit in your food if you so much as asked for them to change something simple about your order. Be weary, folks. As a Florida resident, I had never heard of hot wieners before. My uncle was craving them so we ended up stopping here. We ordered 12 hot wieners, and took them home to eat. Fast paced, always busy, decent food. Pizza is fine, nothing special, but Weiners and Sandwiches are very good! If you do order pizza, I recommend the square type. It takes a little longer for them to make, but the difference in crust is HUGE! The buffalo chicken wings are really really good and if you are hungry, the buffalo chicken sub is nothing short of amazing! I like it with lettuce, tomato and onions. It is FANTASTIC when you dip it into the big tub of blue cheese they give you ;) We go about once a month... and have done so for almost 20 years. The food is always consistent which is a big plus in my book. We generally opt for pickup, but the delivery service also very good. Over the years, we have certainly used it. The crack staff answering for the order is always unable to provide a total. I would like to see a bill breakdown. The charges are always different. Beware the bait and switch! Third strike for Cosmic. They consistently overcharge for burnt/cold pizza. This review is a little long (because of so many issues), so bear with me. First experience: Ordered pizza at a non-busy time, which I was bringing to a meeting about an hour after ordering. After an hour and 15 mins, I called and they said the driver was on his way. After an hour and a half, I called again and the lady on the phone said he was on my street (I guess she saw this in her crystal ball). I was standing outside and could see my whole street and told her he was not, and she insisted he was. (???) When the pizza arrived after an hour and 45 minutes, I was late to my meeting and yelled at by the driver for not tipping for this service. That pizza was burnt and cold. Second experience: Roommate ordered food. He was getting aggravated b/c it hadn't arrived well after an hour and he was hungry. When it finally got here, I could hear bickering out front. When he came back in without food, I asked what happened. He said they were trying to overcharge him 5 dollars and when he refused to pay it, they took the food back. I didn't think too much about it at the time, since it wasn't even my order. Third experience: I decided to give Cosmic one more chance last night, since they're really the only delivery place open late on Sunday around here. I ordered a one topping pizza at 10 pm, listed on their website as $10.30. When it arrived an hour and 15 minutes later, the driver wanted over $20! After showing him their price, he said because I split the toppings, I was charged for two (bad business). When I showed him a two-topping is listed as $11.50, he said it was a delivery fee. I asked how much the delivery fee was, and he said $4. I told him that is still only $15.50 plus tax. He let me pay $16 for the pizza. He then came back and demanded an additional $3 for sales tax. Since we already saw the pizza was burnt/cold and they were way over charging, I said if he wanted more money, he could just have the pizza back. He took the pizza and refunded me, much like they did to my roommate over a few extra dollars. I called them about this service, and they lady on the phone explained that RI is 12% sales tax (it is actually 8% for delivered food) and the delivery fee of $4.This STILL did not add up to what they were trying to charge me. The fact that they would waste food when a customer refuses to be over charged is appalling to me really. And if you catch them in the act, they are rude about it and really just take the food back if you don't pay the inflated charges in a spiteful manner. Also, the fact that a person on the phone was so quick to tell me a driver was on my street when I called told me two things, A) they get calls like this all the time and have an answer at the ready and B) they have no problem lying to their customers. I gave this place 3 chances (between everyone in the home). They were extremely disappointing each and every time. They lie, they steal, and their food is always burnt and cold. It looks like some people get lucky, but I definitely won't be rolling the dice on this place ever again. And if you do decide to take the risk, make sure to double check what they charge you. We would order often but the last 4 or 5 times we have ordered they have dropped the ball, the pizza isn't what it useto be and the service when we call has not been the greatest. The pizza and salads from here a good for our local choices that delivery. However every time we've called it's been kind of odd, they don't have the friendliest way of communicating. For example, we live on a road that a neighbor orders from here regularly so when we call they often stop talking to us to yell out to other employees asking they just delivered to the other house. the first time this was funny but now ya just annoying.
