This place burger hits way more than their salty tots. I know I wasn't the only one because the table next to us barely touch their tots. It was so salty, I drank one cup of water for over a few bites. As for their burgers, it was way delicious and worth it. Their original and Kim chee burger was delicious. Their shakes are good too! As for their venue, it's spacious, plenty of seats, and it fits in the crossroads area.

If you're looking for a solid smash burger in KC, Cosmo Burger never misses! The burgers are juicy, packed with flavor, and have that perfect crispy edge that keeps me coming back. The fries are always hot and the perfect addition to any order. - get the burger sauce I love that the menu is simple and focused on doing a few things really well. Great food, quick service, and a laid-back atmosphere make this an easy recommendation. Definitely a spot that's earned a place on my KC favorites list

We went to Cosmo Burger for a quick bite. You walk in and seat yourself. Then someone comes to take your order. The women working were friendly but getting the food took a while considering they only serve one item - smash burgers . The restaurant was nicely decorated and clean. The burger was delicious though. The edges of the patty were crispy. The kids burger is just meat, cheese and bun. It's the same size as a single burger. I didn't ask about a military discount. With a kids burger, single burger, and fries was around $24.

This spot is a hidden gem--honestly, the picture says it all. Such a cute, vibey diner that's perfect for catching up with friends or taking yourself on a little solo date (highly recommend). Burger, shake, and tots? Elite combo. I love that you can customize with extra toppings, swap tots or fries, and even choose between a regular or a spiked shake. Every time I've gone, the staff has been super nice and attentive too. Definitely worth a visit if you haven't tried it yet

Like every place in the Crossroads, parking is nonexistent. This is a cute little diner with a very simple menu. It was clean, bright, and service was fast and friendly. I ordered a single minus onions add tomato and my son had a double as-is. I ordered Diet Coke and he had a vanilla shake and tots. Everything was delicious and as expected. No complaints, I would recommend.

Burger delicous as always. Be sure to hit it up during May to try seasonal mango sticky rice milkshake. The mango flavor is overtakken by the rice, but amazing to enjoy. Looking forward to trying kimchi burger in the next couple of days too.

Pretty good just nothing exceptional. Tried the vegan burger with vegan cheese (even though I'm just vegetarian and could have had regular American cheese). Grilled onions were a nice touch but otherwise pretty basic. Fries were standard affair and not fresh cut. Value seemed a little steep too. Was $19 before tax and tip. For food and value would probably give 3 stars but the staff were friendly so giving 4 stars.

For a fun and casual date night, my partner and I went to Cosmo Burger! We loved the retro vibes and the smash burgers that hit the spot!! When we got to Cosmo Burger, we arrived just at the right time where they had some openings. The host told us that a lot of times, you will have to come in and get on the wait list (there isn't an online wait list or reservation system), so it seems like you may have to check in and go grab a drink somewhere else while you wait, as an FYI. Once we were seated, we got beers and ordered our burgers (and fries!). Everything came out quickly and tasted delish! The whole dinner experience didn't last more than 45 minutes to an hour (I drink beers slowly!), so it was definitely a quick bite. The sides of fries or tots are to share and I'm so glad we only got one! Looking forward to going back at some point to try some of their other drinks and have another great burger!

One of the best burgers in all of the Kansas City Metro area. Full stop. It's also one of the messiest burgers in the Kansas City Metro area. Also full stop. But messy is good! Cosmo Burger XR has taken their game from a small insert inside Dodson's in the Waldo area, as far out west to the Lenexa City Center, and now in the Crossroads. The location is great, the space is even better, and the food, well, it's pretty outstanding. You are there for a burger - as the name implies - so you should expect a really good one. They don't mess around with styles and toppings, no, they just give you a choice: how many patties do you want? A double burger is a fairly good size burger, and you can adorn it however you want. My recommendation: grilled onions, bacon, and their house pickles. Hit that up with a side of their 'burger sauce' and you have yourself a really good burg. Just know that their house pickles have a little bit of a kick to them, so if you get with that, then they're really good. And even if condiments aren't your thing, their burger sauce compliments the smashed burger patties really well. The service, particularly at the bar, is really good. Always patient, always pleasant, and willing to make a suggestion here & there based on your palate. I would not have thought to try the 'Hamm Sandwich', a cheap can of beer with a shot of Four Roses and a shot of pickle juice, but I'm glad I did because it was suggested to me. Great space, awful parking, REALLY good burgers, and it seems like it fits in the Crossroads and has been there for years.

First time here and WOW!!! Truly blown away with how good it is! Started with the pickle margarita and it was to die for good! Not too sweet not too pickle perfect amount of salt 10/10 delish. Then I had the single burger and added lettuce, it was so yummy, cooked to perfection and just amazing! The fries were perfectly crispy and salty. The bag of fries was also a very generous helping! Also their ranch and fry sauce are both very good

This place is a small hole in the wall. I will say it's a very friendly place but they aren't very attentive which I personally love it because I hate being bothered while eating! They also give you a perfect amount of time to browse the menu before ordering so you don't feel rushed. Now the food, personally wasn't a big fan of their pickles but the burger itself was amazing. They're smash burgers which you can customize to your liking. I got mine with extra grilled onions and it was delicious. I was a fan of the fires more than the tots. If you're opting for dessert I got the chocolate milkshake with the peanut butter whiskey and it was honestly delicious! Definitely worth a try!

I've seen so many "advertising" on social media about Cosmo. This fairly new location is fun, bright space with booths, table and bar seating. Service with a smile and good banter is always a good sign. Ordered to go: fries and 2 shakes : N/A Elvis Shake and Strawberry. Even though their fries are not freshly cut and cooked they were good. The dipping sauce/aoili provided was tangy and good. The shakes made with ice cream, milk and fresh ingredients are Devine temptation! Peanut butter & bacon.. how could you go wrong!

I'd heard good things and was excited that they opened in the crossroads because it's closer to me than the Waldo location. I headed over for a drink and some food to go. The interior isn't super big but they do have a decent amount of seating for the space. Service was friendly and the food came out fast and was accurate. They have lots of drink options-beers, cocktails, floats, shakes-alcoholic and non, soft drinks really everything. I regret not getting a shake because it looked pretty good. But that will just have to be next time. I tried the prickly pear seltzer: tequila, prickly pear syrup, lime acid, house carbonated. It was so pretty. And it was really nice and refreshing. I'd definitely order it again. The menu is simply burgers and fries or tots and a couple desserts. I went with a double and added an egg and bacon. I also ordered tots. Everything was really good. My only complaint is that someone in the kitchen had a super heavy hand with the salt. I'm not sensitive to salt and I do tend to like salty things but this was a bit much even for me. I'm definitely going to return to try it again because I don't think this is the norm. But overall it was good. Definitely check them out in the crossroads!

That changed yesterday, when Diana Condori, the bar manager, was named a 2026 James Beard Outstanding Professional in Cocktail Service semifinalist. As we love supporting restaurants and bars that receive that kind of recognition, my wife and I headed to Fern Bar that evening. I was especially curious what exactly a "sugarcane and agave bar" meant. We arrived around 5:30pm and found only a handful of guests inside. After congratulating the bartender who first served us, he mentioned that Diana was working that night and would stop by to meet us. During our conversation, Diana shared that she didn't even know she had been nominated. She woke up Tuesday to a call from owner Bryan Arri, who said he had big news and was coming over. Her first thought was that something terrible had happened--like the bar had burned down. Instead, he showed up with coffee and told her she was a James Beard honoree. Diana is originally from Bolivia and has lived in Kansas City most of her life, with the exception of time spent in San Francisco during the pandemic. She further refined her cocktail craft through local pop-ups in Kansas City under the name Condor's Cove. When Bryan was preparing to open Fern Bar, he reached out to bring her onto the team. The printed cocktail menu immediately reminded me of the Monarch and the Mercury Room--not surprising given Bryan's background at Manifesto and the Monarch. Thoughtful, intentional, and clearly designed for people who appreciate serious cocktails. We planned on having one or two drinks but ended up staying for three, thanks to an outstanding lineup and a memorable conversation with Diana. We tasted: * No Fly Zone - Rum, agave, pineapple foam * Mr. Collage - Smooth, elegant, egg-white cocktail * Three Negroni Lunch - Bitter, boozy, and beautifully balanced * Pendergast No. 4 - Complex and spirit-driven * It's Bananas - Banana liqueur with bright tropical notes * Off the Rails - Creative and well-executed rum/agave cocktail One downside of many cocktail-forward bars is the lack of food, but Fern Bar offers two varieties of mini burritos for $4--just enough protein to keep things balanced while indulging. Great concept, exceptional service, and truly memorable drinks. Check it out--and be sure to say hello to Diana.

Second I tried the Neo Cosmo (white rum, strawberry, cacao, coconut, rose hip, lime, bubble) which was good and was a fun drink with an ice cream shaped cup and a bubble on the top (meant to look like an ice cream cone).
