Hunkering for a good burger & BRGR menu seemed to fit our craving. We walked in & for immediately swayed in the bar area. The bartender was our server. She gave us recommendations & he went with one of hers. I got the Knob Hill, grilled onions, special sauce on a parm encrusted sourdough bread. The meat was good as directed but overall the entire burger was bland. My BF Jalapeño Popper burger was really good; spicy & sweet combo. We opted for the 3 combo sides for $13 (tots, sweet potato fries & 3 rings) as most of the sides range from $5-8 for one option. Tots were the best, fries overcooked & mixed opinion of the rings. Overall service was excellent, as well as cocktails but my meal seem to fall short of my expectations. Not sure the price point warrants a trip back.

We decided to try this restaurant out because they specialize in burgers and had the option of a gluten free bun. We are so glad that we did! They had delicious burgers and a wide variety of options of burgers and other delicious sounding options. Their sweet potato fries and regular fries were very good also. My husband enjoyed his red Sangria that he said was good. The service was great and attentive and the restaurant was relaxed and casual. We will definitely go back!

We stopped in for dinner during happy hour and tried the pickle fries and cheese bites (can't remember the exact name, but they were tasty!). For mains, we ordered the Juicy Lucy and the Wagyu Go Burger and split them. Personally, I preferred the Wagyu, still heavy and greasy as expected at a burger place, but flavorful. The Juicy Lucy was too much for me; it was loaded with mayo and cheese, and I couldn't eat more than a bite. We also got the side combo with sweet potato fries, truffle fries, and onion rings, fresh and crispy, but a lot of fried food overall. The service was great, and the restaurant had a nice vibe. This was my first visit, but it's actually my fiancé's favorite spot.

BRGR has been open in this location for a long time now, and up until recently I had only been once or twice long ago. The first time I visited this location years ago was with friends, back when we were all in our 20s or early 30s and without children. I remember liking it, but not loving it. It was a place that we went to from time to time but I didn't ever crave. Flash forward and BRGR has done something I think is hard to do: they have gotten better with age. Now, I'm not sure if it's that BRGR has changed any of their recipes, or ambiance, or even anything at all, or if it's that I've changed. I'm guessing it's the latter, as I've now been to BRGR two times within the past three months and it's largely because I have kids and the food is actually really good. The first time I went back to BRGR recently was in December. My older daughter and I had a date with my cousin and her daughter to go see Glow Wild at the Zoo and my cousin recommended we stop here for an early dinner first. It seemed like a solid choice since my four year old LOVES burgers and I hadn't been in a while. We arrived, they seated us, and immediately I fell in love all over again with BRGR. First of all, something I never noticed in my twenties was how family friendly it is. They have booster seats, infant car seat holders, the whole nine yards. The restrooms even have stools for little ones so they can reach the sink - in my daughter's mind this is the best thing ever, and I love it too because it saves me from having to awkwardly hold her up so she can wash. Something else worth noting is that I realized quickly that when you dine here before, say 7pm, the whole place is FILLED with families. For good reason too because aside from all the perks I've already mentioned, they have a great kids meal. I think it's around 8 dollars and your kiddo gets a burger, fries, and a drink. I mean, come on, you can't beat that. To add on to all of this, both times I've been back my food has been on point, and they have a great taplist. All in all, I think BRGR is a top notch place you can go and still support local, while wanting a meal out with your young family. KC needs more places like this that blur the boundaries between a meal out, and feeling okay bringing the kids along.

Pretty pricey for what you get, in my opinion. Happy hour deviled eggs were lackluster. Brussels sprouts were different and decent, never had blue cheese with them, nice addition to the taste buds. They do not have side salads, only half or full. They have a good variety of burgers. Everything seems to have a twist on it which is nice than the normal bar food. Service was quick. We went around 5 on a Monday.

Great burgers, prompt service, great patio when the weather is nice. Tried the pickle fries this time and they were so good! They are cut like fries instead of chips. They have an amazing Monday night special- $30 for 4 burgers and fries.

STEAKHOUSE wagyu burger, white cheddar, garlic & thyme mushrooms, arugula, garlic & herb aioli, BRGR potato bun

Needed a tasty burger, they delivered! STEAKHOUSE wagyu burger, white cheddar, garlic & thyme mushrooms, arugula, garlic & herb aioli, BRGR potato bun. Tots are so crispy you hear the crunch deep in your ears on practically every bite! The dipping sauce that comes with it is very tasty as well Burgers are now (seemingly) more smashed than years ago, still very tasty. Now that the weather (march 2024) is getting better, there is limited patio seating. Service - at the bar was good Ambiance - pure burger bar and I recall it can get very loud when a large crowd Fri/Sat nights. There's also Fish and Chips and a hot dog/chili dog on the menu, and chicken if you aren't craving tasty maybe wagyu burgers.

Some of the best unique burgers and happy hour in KC! $5 cocktails, $2-$3 beers, and $5 appetizers on the happy hour menu. Highly recommend the squeaky cheese appetizer! There were so many burgers that sounded right up my alley. I went with the "Fast Cow" which had bleu cheese, caramelized onions, bacon, and more on an English muffin. 10/10 would recommend! The sides are separate than the meals. We split the truffle tots which were more than enough for 2 people.

Steakhouse Burger

Upscale burger bistro with big flavors and relatively low prices. They offer a wide variety of unique burgers that have all been delicious. The sides are pretty good too, but have to be ordered separately so that drives the price up just a bit. The host and waiter were very kind and checked in on us often. I ordered the steakhouse burger and shared the combo of fries, tots, and onion rings. The actual restaurant was clean and the ambiance added to the dining experience.

Visited during Oktoberfest. The food options were so unique and fun. Loved the pretzel and cheese, that cheese sauce was delicious. The beer brat was full of flavor. Staff was attentive and kept checking in. Great patio space and they even had a live singer.

I think BRGR can be five star and can also be three star so it's getting for today. It really all depends on who is cooking. The last time we went my favorite thing from their kitchen, truffle fries, had an old fry texture even though they were warm like they just came from the oven. The burger was also mediocre despite getting the steakhouse burger which is the fancy meat burger. But I loved the service and my husband always had a good time with the brown bag special (you get a random beer in a paper bag for 3.50) Spaztle from Oktoberfest menu was good!

Super kid friendly!
Brittany W.

The food was delicious. The steakhouse burger was amazing. The truffle tots and perfectly garlicky seasoned onion rings with their "special sauce" were wonderful and largely portioned. My toddlers ate everything which is rare and they ended it with fancy ice cream with cookie crumbles and m and m's. This is random, but they even have stools in the bathroom for kids! Our server, Drew/ what a stud! We'll be back to see him! Love it here!

Overall - fun and quirky environment with lots of yummy food options…read more Menu: EXTENSIVE menu with lots of options to choose from... to the point that it can get a lil overwhelming. Thankfully most items have a reference picture so it was easier to gauge what you're getting, which I appreciated. I'd recommend getting the Honky Tonky (with bbq sauce on the side) bc it was a perfect balance of salty and sweet. Other burgers were good too (not all were shown n some I forgot the names), so high chance they'll turn out good. Appetizers id recommend (not shown) is the Spare Parts Appetizer that lets you sample a lot. Several were good like the jalapeños n cheese curds. As for the price and portion though, I don't think it was that worth it.... The burgers aren't that big compared to other places and the fries portion was kinda small too. So for the price of $20 after tax, just not worth it. Yummy but I could always get burgers somewhere else too. Atmosphere: if you're into cars, bikes, all the edgy garage and western decor, you'll like this place. It was fun to look around and see how this place was decorated. It can be a lot though. In terms of space wise, lots of rooms and tables around. We had a party of 11 and were thankfully able to make it work on a busy day. Service: our server was chill and patient with us. Felt like our burgers came out at a reasonable timeframe. Summary: was good and even though yummy, probably more of a 1 visit every few months bc the portion to price ratio isnt it imo :( especially if I can get burgers and fries in bigger (n refillable) elsewhere. Would highly recommend trying though!!

FEE-NOM-MENAL BURGER. Simply phenomenal! More like phenomnomnom-menal…read more.. Hank's Garage is serving up one of the better burgers in JoCo with very relaxed atmosphere to boot. The menu is not large, but clearly what they do, they are doing very, very well. Burgers, dogs, wraps, & salads are there for the choosing along with a great lineup of local beer. They even have their own label (Hank's Lager) if you are up to sample house goodies! But speaking of house goodies, it's the burgers. The 'variations' are slim (like 2 or 3), but the El Reno (shoutout to Oklahoma) comes with those fabulous grilled onions as a supporting cast. The OG Hank's burger is not to be missed, what with the sharp American cheese & special sauce on a brioche bun. Both of those are simply hunger killers, because they taste as good as they look and they're fairly huge in portion size. The house special sauce has a little horseradish wayyyyyy in the flavor background, only noticeable if you're looking for it, and the sauce is outstanding when paired with the burg. Pro tip: get the sauce on the side and get your dunk on. Burgers come with a side and run $15, which is a price point well below the value. Ice cold beer flows on tap (buy local!) or in cans & bottles, and they even do a few wines & house-created cocktails. The airy, open layout makes it a three-season spot and the 'yard' is inviting for anyone who enjoys their eats & dranks au naturel. Wonderful service (Autumn is THE nicest) and plenty of seating - get yourself there.

It's very good, but there are a couple that are better. I ordered a double cheeseburger as they prepare it. I didn't love the pickles. They were weird. Not your typical dill pickle, which I prefer. The guys working behind the counter, insisted that I use the QR code to order instead of talking to them. There was no way for me to add mustard on the website, which is what I would've preferred. I was able to do that at Cosmo Burger in Lenexa City Center when I was able to speak to a human. This location still had excellent tater tots, even though the burger was greasy and not how I preferred it to be topped. The bar that Cosmo Burger sits in is excellent! The bartender was attentive and kind. If you want a soft drink to go with your burger, you buy it at the bar and it is $3.90. I gave him a five dollar bill and left another dollar on the table when I left. I also tipped the guys at Cosmo Burger. So, it was $26 for a cheeseburger tots and a Coke. Yikes!

They also were 'blowing the taps' which meant we get to try many of the beers that they were saying good-bye to. So, a little story. I was one of the first to wander into a place called Brew Lab years ago. I actually found the place because of looking for brewing supplies. There were a good amount of tools here but also these folks were serving their beer! So, what a great idea. I bought some grain... and had a few beers! I visited this place a few more times on the regular. Suddenly one day there was appetizers. And had the most divine pretzel bites that have ever existed. Next time was an amazing club sandwiches. And some pulled pork. All of the food has always been great bar food. And then there was the beer. So many delicious beers each time. Too many to try at once. But, that is all memory lane... Now... here is the news! Brew Lab is changing. The ownership remains the same however they have given up the brewing. They will have a few of their specialty beers that they keep on tap but they will have a lot more taps of beer from other breweries. On this visit they brought out a large amount of samples of the food that they will be adding/altering in the menu going forward. There were a lot of really delicious items and I am excited for when they have the full menu and I can order some of them. Most notably I am excited for the Catfish Po'boy sandwich. We will be back soon to try the all new... Tall Boys. Look for that review coming soonish!
