Cosmo motors website page claiming they are lotus specialists

This place is advertised as a lotus repair shop on their website. I called about an issue with the door latch on my 2011 Evora on 7/9 and the person I spoke to seemed knowledgeable and asked me to bring the car in on 7/14 for him to try and adjust the latch and discuss ordering a part if necessary. I brought the car in at the exact time we discussed and immediately got a red flag. The advisor (not who I spoke to on the phone) told me he put me down for the day before but they "could take care of me today". Somehow "Lotus Evora with door latch issue" got lost in translation from my phone call and they thought I was bringing in a Toyota sienna minivan with a sliding door issue. After much confusion from the other workers Jonathan said he'll take a look at the latch and see what he can do. They kept my car for an hour and came back and told me they couldn't do anything and that I need a new latch. They said they'd call me back with a part number and charged me 200 dollars for their "work" and information I already knew. It has been 13 days and I haven't heard from them, and the door latch issue was actually made worse by them. Avoid this place at all costs. As a bonus my car is listed as an "Elise" on the service notes, so it really seems like they have no idea what they're doing.

I recently purchased a vehicle from Cosmo Motors and traded in my Porsche 911. The on site experience was good, didn't take long and the reps were friendly. Had it not been for the rest of this review, I would have given them 5 stars. My frustrations began a month after the transaction when I was charged for both my new vehicle as well as the one I sold a month prior. I called CM about it and they said that their third party processor didn't receive the paperwork. Ok...regardless of the reasons, I was out over $800 that I had to wait to get back once the issue was resolved. According to my bank, I was still the owner and financially responsible for the vehicle I no longer had in my possession. I had to keep calling back to get updates on the issue as I was not contacted when I was told I would be. By month two, the payment for the sold vehicle was due again. My bank still showed it had not been paid off. I finally spoke to the GM there who helped expedite the paperwork and I didn't have to make a second payment on the old car. But overall, I had two frustrating months trying to figure out how to get my old car paid off and my money back. When the paperwork finally got resolved, it was weeks after the sale so the payoff changed but I was still stuck paying the interest because the bank held me responsible, which I don't think is fair. The car was no longer in my possession so I shouldn't have had to keep paying anything on it. I'm out over $200 because of their paperwork mixup. I liked the guys who work there but I am giving an honest review based on my experience. I won't tell anyone to not buy from them, but be cautious and maybe do a follow-up a couple weeks later to verify that their paperwork got processed.

I had a great experience here! Thanks Storm! Do you hate the often sleezy, pressured feeling you get from other dealerships? Then come to Cosmo. I drove up from Charlotte and they were a pleasure to buy from. Really easy to work with. Very happy with the experience. Looking to make a few aesthetic updates to the car soon. Tell Cosmo's friend (the previous owner) that I will treat her well! Thanks again!

From my research they have the best out the door price with a 299.99 Doc fee. I had found these fees to be in excess of 800.00. So you have to know what to add for your out the door price at any dealer. In the first week I found some mechanical issues that I wanted addressed. The service department was first rate in communications and addressing my major issues at no charge. I would have given 5 stars but for one practice I disagree with and am having to handle myself. If a remote (key fob) was lost by the previous owner it becomes your loss. They will provide one key fob and one extra key. All new cars come standard with two fobs and in the case of the truck it is the only way to use remote start. It will most likely cost in the range of 200.00 to get a remote for my wife. This practice puzzles me because they addressed much larger problems with a smile. Ask before you sign the papers how many key fobs the vehicle has because it may have only one. I hope they change this practice, sometimes it's the small things that could easily be addressed that bother you. I would buy another Car at Carmax in Hickory.

This is me having to take my time out of my day to call them Because not only unprofessional to the max. They are extremely ignorant. Once again, I'm recall again being put on for three minutes 14 minutes for the entire call until Tina, who is the rudest person I've ever done business with she lacks business savvy, she was missing on the day they taught manners and how to be professional. She was so rude. The guy before her said oh well things get lost in the mail. I said no we're not gonna use that one. This is the third time, oh well maybe since you live in an apartment things don't get there on time I said no that's not accurate. She stated that it was sent out 10 days later well I never received it they on the mail. I said no it's not the mail now months later so my son called last said oh you should've gotten did indeed , didn't receive it. To prove them wrong once again, didn't fit in your mailbox, I do have a mailbox and if we get anything larger than can fit in our mailbox, they put a key into your mailbox and I've had numerous things sent that way. Sounds like you're making one excuse after 100 more. Then Tina says well here's what you can. Do you go to the DMV, I've already been twice lady, had no problem title. So she wants me to make another errand to go to the DMV of all places and she said pay for it and then I will reimburse you we all know that putting all the work on me my my money numerous . Should've used Carvana. Also, I took the sticker off the back of my car my car not there so they use it for people to get free advertisement my car don't put a damn sticker on there of yours. The worst experience of my life.

The 2017 Ford F150 that I wanted to look at was in Mooresville but before the salesman & I could go see the truck I had to sign papers to buy the truck. That should've gave me a warning but the truck looked nice on the computer I asked about any problems, any wrecks , about the tires & if it had a warranty. I was told that Randy Marion does an extensive inspection on all vehicles that they sale & I had a 3 mo or 3000 mile warranty if ANYTHING goes wrong it would be fixed free of charge. When I got to Mooresville to see the truck I noticed the front tires were wore on the outside of the tire I asked was the truck out of line & I thought the tires wasn't good enough. I was told about the wonderful inspection they do so it wasn't out of line & I wasn't offered to change tires. The next morning I couldn't get the remote start to work so I texted the salesman. His boss called and said that wasn't covered in the warranty he could pay for getting it tested to see what the problem was but he couldn't pay for fixing it. If they did an extension inspection the mechanic should have known the remote start didn't work. Thiis truck wasn't cheap & All the FEES I WAS'NT TOLD ABOUT OMG the amount financed was 27,000. So if you decide on getting a vehicle from Randy Marion make sure everything works cause once you sign papers or drive it off the lot your screwed if something is wrong with it . While they had it they did a multipoint inspection on it and Surprise, Surprise, Surprise as Gomer Pyle would say, found multiple things "wrong" with it to the tune of $922 in parts and labor including telling us the transmission fluid was brown and needed servicing. My wife said "Really? My husband just serviced the transmission less than a month ago" and at that point the service advisor started back peddling saying maybe it just looked that way because of the lighting! LMFAO!! I knew it was coming, as soon as we turned them down for the repairs, the high-pressure sales pitch started. Nothing will turn me off faster or lose my business quicker than someone pressuring me to buy something once I have already told them NO! Besides everything on the list IF it needed to be done I or my mechanic could have done it for a fraction of the price that Hendrick Honda wanted to charge to do it. Plus now we are getting letters in the mail at least once a week reminding us that "we need to schedule an appointment for our urgently needed repairs" I wonder how long we are going to continue to get these letters before they finally realize that we are not bringing the car back there ever again for any reason! I pulled the transmission dipstick after we got home and that was the reddest "brown" transmission fluid I have ever seen!! These dealerships will flat out lie to your face to try and make a buck. I may have been born at night, but not last night! Two stars only because the service advisor did reset our radio theft security code and set the time without charging us which shocked the hell out of me!

First day driving off the lot, check engine light popped on and then started to flicker like crazy…read more The CEL light had been "shorted" out somehow causing a check engine code for that circuit and a po420. Next day turbo code comes on, po299 turbo under boost. I take it back to them under there 30 days 1000 mile warranty. Did not like the customer relations guy at Tech 3-there repair shop. The lady upfront at tech 3 was very professional and well liked. After being lied to from the customer relations guy at Tech 3-he said turbo wasn't working because engine was 2 quarts low-what a lie....turbo is fed oil from oil filter, secondly the car can't tell its 2 quarts low on oil, only that its really low on oil. Needless to say, a week and half later they bring the car to the dealership with the same check engine light for turbo boost low, and my bluetooth system is no longer functioning properly since they took car for the week and half. During the time in the shop, they said they replaced the turbo and supposedly a pcm. During pickup at week and half, the turbo was not new, and salesman stated they put a used $500 turbo on......there $500 on amazon new with 2 year warranty. So to sum this after two weeks of buying a car, they've made bluetooth not work properly, didnt fix turbo issue, very suspicious of the CEL being shorted out during first 3 days of having car-per my scanner, being lied to constantly by either corporate office finance manager or guys at tech 3 shop, and last but not least, they have no loaner cars for when your cars in there suspicious shop. I just like others expect truthfullness, and for them not to be shady.
