This will be my third and final review. I deleted the other two because I felt like I was in a…read moretennis match with the bad/good/bad service. I'll recap: I would give a one star but Jason did try and make this right so I'll give credit where it's due. He's a stand up guy and tried to make me happy but in the end it was the service department (Ron) that didn't do what was promised.. let me explain. Bought a truck a week or so before Xmas and the alternator goes out Xmas eve. It's the holiday and I needed a vehicle so I called a mobile mechanic because I bought the extended warranty which turned into a nightmare (not worth addressing here) I called TT and the guy who answered sounded annoyed I even called the warranty company but it's not like I had a choice. After some back and forth Jason told me he would write me a check for what the warranty company would have paid for since I paid out of pocket but I paid about 700$ for the alternator and with the warranty you're inly supposed to pay 100$ no matter what but I was only given a check for 330$. I suck at math but not that bad. A week later my truck started acting up, starting rough and sounding like it was going to fall apart so I reached out, I'll admit full force pissed because I just bought the truck and it had back to back issues before my first truck payment. There was a lot of back and forth and Jason defused this ticking time bomb after I tossed some salty words his way. He convinced me to drop my truck off and let them make it right, I agreed. They had it for about 2 weeks I got it back and it sounded better? Or maybe I had high hopes it would finally be fixed. Still was acting weird but not knowing much about the exhaust system I thought maybe it would run a little rough until it was driven for a little while, time came and went and boom it now sounds even worse than when they did the "good faith" fix. Took it to Firestone, they changed out a bad pulley that sounded like rocks when it was taken off and hand twisted and they brought me into the shop to point out a very obvious issue with the exhaust. They don't work on that so I had to either go back to the dealership AGAIN or just find someone who would for sure fix the issue. So I obviously did not want to jump through more hoops. One gasket was not flush so this is leak number one. Made an appointment with an exhaust place and they found the culprit. When Truck Town replaced my exhaust manifold (which I was told had a huge hole in the top, wouldn't it be caught during inspection?) they neglected to change the gasket, you can tell the age just looking at it. You can see the obvious blowout marks so this 32$ gasket cost me another 400$ to get done when this *should* have been addressed when TT had it apart in those 2 weeks they had it. Now that it's actually fixed fixed 2 months later I'm finally happy. Not only do I look back at it when I walk away but I'm happy while I drive now too. My advice, don't do it. They will befriend you and make you feel like you are palls but that's what good sales guys do right? I fell hard for it I think my knees will bleed forever. I won't do business here again but I'm sure I won't be missed. **ask every detail about this "amazing" warranty.

Then it started hard shifting & loosing all power mid acceleration! They told me to take it to a shop that they chose so I did the shop claimed they found " no issues" so I took it to a second shop of their choice where I was told it had clogged catalytic converters. Over $1300 in repairs & guess what? It wasn't even the catalytic converters! They refuse to help me in any way & the vehicle is not safe to operate. This is my third vehicle I have got from them & this is how they treat their customers, would not recommend.

Sold me a car, assured no mechanical issues. "We don't let a car drive off a lot with major…read moremechanical issues." Car had a blown head gasket as evidenced by the coolant reservoir being full of motor oil. I returned to the dealership intending to return the vehicle and try and get into something different and more reliable. 2nd salesperson was frankly rude. Would not let me test drive a replacement before committing to a return. How am I supposed to commit just switching to a new vehicle without being able to test drive it? Quote from the second salesperson: "Not every car is seen by a mechanic before we resell it.". I was also told that I could expect different treatment from him then the person who sold me the vehicle. I was treated to a lecture of what to expect when buying a used car as if I haven't bought dozens in the course of my life. He refused to show me a printout of the inventory vehicles available, as my first salesperson had. "I'm not Gigi. My name is Paul. I am Paul. I am not Gigi.". The message there is that you can expect different information depending on which salesperson you talk to. Beware. Update: I was told by the second salesperson that they would honor the warranty and pay for the repair and offered to waive the $250 deductible (generous? Not especially but it was offered.) and I hope to have the vehicle repaired at no additional cost to me. Paul was helpful in facilitating getting into the mechanic. Overall however the attempt to resolve could have been met with more courtesy, and less lecture, especially on a car I've had less than 48 hours. Update #2: mechanic says that a total engine replacement is needed. CarHop may or may not approve the repair. Return to the dealer. They seem to think that CarHop will make good on the warranty but there is no guarantee that at this point. At a minimum I will be without a vehicle for another week and Miss work, that's if they can find an engine. Meanwhile that same salesperson basically offered me the option of two vehicles, a Jeep Patriot or a Dodge Journey, neither of which is the type of vehicle that I need. And neither which I would be allowed to test drive until I completely returned the car and canceled the existing contract. Finding out that a car needs a total engine replacement within 48 hours of owning it is unacceptable. The treatment I have received since, doubly so. Please exercise discretion when considering purchasing a vehicle from this location. At the moment I am concerned that they simply sell junk at highly inflated prices, and don't expect them to fall all over you with friendly customer service if things go wrong. You will get the cold shoulder. Update #3: the mechanic would not give me a printout for the estimate, saying that it belonged to CarHop. He did however let me take a photo of the screen which I've added. The estimate for the repair is over $10,000. Mind you, this is 48 hours after purchasing the vehicle. Update #4: CarHop took a week to approve the engine repair and it was honored and an engine swap completed. The mechanic would not share any information with me about the new engine including how many miles it had on it or what condition it was in, telling me the CarHop was the customer. I don't really see the point of not telling me how many miles are on the engine that they just put in the car. When I had approached the CarHop dealer I also mentioned that the engine fan was not working. He said he would add that to the repair saying he didn't want anybody put in a new car with no heater. He even tapped some things on his keyboard (pretending?) saying that he added that to the repair ticket request. The mechanic said there was no such item on the repair ticket request and they would not address it. Update number 5: less than 48 hours later, after replacing an engine that they would tell me absolutely nothing about including how many miles to the new engine had on it, I have a flashing check engine light and the car is idling rough. Back to the mechanic again. THESE PEOPLE ARE LIARS AND CROOKS DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CARHOP.

When I took it back for service a week after purchase, I asked the service department to check for exhaust leaks due to my being ill every time I drove it. I was told no exhaust leaks. During the 1.5-hour return drive home I became so ill and lightheaded I almost passed out. So, the following week I took it to another mechanic shop that specialized in exhaust; and was told the exhaust system was in bad shape but not leaking yet. As my only vehicle I continued driving it with the windows down through October into November wearing a breathing mask and putting Vaseline around my eyes to protect the skin that was being irritated. This was hell as it's winter with cold and rain and the fumes were making me so ill I was losing weight. Luckily, I was referred to another local mechanic who in two minutes of VISUAL inspection found one very obvious exhaust leak up against the truck cab firewall. He told me he'd have no problem talking to the dealership mechanics to verify his findings. Having confirmation and backup, I took this issue to the dealership. They had me bring it back in and they gave me a nice, certified vehicle to drive while they investigated and made repairs. It was wonderful driving and being warm and dry for the first time in weeks. After eight weeks fixing the extensive problems in the exhaust system and other problems related to the exhaust system rebuild, I got back a safe vehicle. I didn't get sick on the 1.5-hour drive home and now love my new "old" truck and don't regret doing business with Advantage Nissan. The dealership went above and beyond to make the truck safe for me to drive and I sincerely appreciate their efforts.
