We've always gone to the north location so thought we would try out the one closer to our house. Bad decision. Atmosphere was very stale, boring and the pizza was terribly doughy. Entire wait staff was more into their phones than serving us. Do yourself a favor and go to the north location or somewhere else. Also they use plastic cups and paper plates to serve you.....What a waste. read more

Cosmos actually has great New York pizza (I'm a true New Yorker ... so I know!) It's such a treat to be able to enjoy this when we've been indecisive or forgot to go to the food lion... the bar tenders and staff are always friendly and kind and everything always winds up tasting delicious! We had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant. Not only was the bartender who served us above and beyond rude, my friend and I were charged two different times for the same meal. We saved our receipt and when we tried to call them to have the second charge refunded, we were told that "sometimes this happens" and that there is nothing they can do. This is absolutely unacceptable and we reported it to the bank. Very unfortunate since the food was great. We will never go back. read more

Horrified at the amount of plastic waste this place produces when you dine in. (This is a sit-down restaurant with wait staff, and yet!) One of the reasons I dine in when possible instead of ordering delivery is to cut down on waste. Nope. I brought six people in and most of us received drinks in plastic to-go cups. Salads? Single-use plastic bowls, along with dressing in little plastic to-go containers. (Everyone else had this much plastic as well.) How much labor do they think they're saving by doing this instead of washing dishes like any sit-down restaurant? This is a place right near the ocean, too. You'd think there would be some awareness of where that kind of plastic waste ends up. read more

Our experience was super weird, so keep that in mind while reading this review. We walked in as a party of 3, and were greeted with an attitude that seemed like she would prefer if we chose to eat somewhere else. She sat us at the biggest table in the restaurant, and we told her we would be fine moving to a smaller table so they can use the big table for someone else. She just said "it's fine" and walked away. We sat for a while waiting for someone to come take our drinks...when a second person walked up and asked if we had more people coming, and then asked why we were at the big table. We told him we offered to move, and he looked at us like maybe we requested to sit there. Weird! So he moved us and the woman never spoke to us again. The guy (who appeared to possibly be a bus boy) took our order and off he went. We ordered wings and a large pizza. The wings tasted good, but they were still cold in the middle...but they were cooked all the way through, which tells me they were possibly pre-cooked and then reheated to order (?!). Then the pizza came out, which was decent, and definitely large enough for three people. That being said, because of our seating experience and the cold wings, we probably won't return for another visit. read more

Really good pizza! We were at Corolla beach taking pictures and looking for someplace to have dinner. Most everything closed early due to COVID hours or if they were open, there was a long wait. We weren't planning on pizza but am so glad we found Cosmos. We ordered 2 margarita pizzas and mozzarella sticks. The crust was really good and the sauce and toppings adequate. When we patronized Cosmos during the off season , the pizza was probably the best I have ever had-no exaggeration. So, good, we had pizza from Cosmos several times, both dine in and carry out. Fast forward to May. In the past 2 weeks, we chose to patronize Cosmos. On both occasions, the pizza was not good at all. OVERCOOKED. on both outings. Mediocre sauce. I am not certain what happened, as the restaurant wasn't overly busy during our visits. Maybe a new cook? Hard to say, but Corolla Pizza is just as good, so we will be going there in the future..... We got the white crab pizza and a cheese pizza and both were good. I particularly liked the chewy crust. Service was fast and friendly.

This place doesn't take your order. The pizza is heavily overpriced. The drinks are bottled, not fountain. The plates are paper. I could say so much more. read more

Surprisingly (sp) good pizza. Enjoyed the food and the salads were large enough for two people. Friendly atmosphere with comfortable seating. We been coming to Corolla for a few years now and we always stop in and eat at Cosmo's Pizza. They are always busy and the food is great and they have a decent draft beer selection. On this trip however did we end up with a problem. First I tried to call them around 5pm to place a pick up order and the phone went to VM and it was full so I could not leave a message if I wanted to. So I hopped in the car with my daughter and we drove 10 minutes up 12 north to Oder the pizza. We walked in and it did not seem that busy. The girl behind the counter seemed frazzled. I went to place my order no she told us that they were extremely busy. I said to her "you know your VM is full I drove up here to place my order" she commented I told you we were busy. I should have walked out then and there but I did not. I placed my order 3 large pies a few appetizers and some side salads. We have one in our party who requires Gluten Free and Cosmo's pizza has that option. So I ordered a GF pie and was told that they were out of GF crust. WTF its Saturday night and it s change over day at the fricking beach and they are not smart enough to stock up for the rush that they get on these days. After I placed my order I was told it would be 1 hour and 15 minutes before my order would be ready. I said ok that's fine I could run some last minute errands while I waited. I offered to pay for my order and was told by the girl I'm to busy to ring you out at the moment. Mind you my bill was $117.00 but feeling sorry for her I said ok I will pay later. I left the Pizza Joint and drove back down to the Food Lion to buy a few things looking at the clock 45-50 minutes had pass so I headed back up to Cosmo's pizza to get my food and pay my bill. Remember the girl said my order would be 1 hour and 15 minutes. So by the time I drove back up to Cosmo's Pizza is should only have to wait an additional 10-15 minutes . Well that was not the case I walked into the pizza joint and it was a mad house there was an angry mob waiting for their food. On lady was sitting waiting for her order and she was one of the lucky one who was able to phone it in. She told me they told her 1:15 for her order and it was going on 1:20 and no pie. One man was screaming at the hostess that he had been waiting two hours for his pizza and she could not give a rats ass about his anger. The kitchen Manager came out, who looked like Kid Rock and started arguing with the irate man telling him he did not appreciate his attitude. I just sat back and watched it all. Here is the kicker I watched several tables get seated and served plus pay their check and I still did not get my food. I do believe the kitchen was making the food for the tables first before they made the carry out customers orders. The carry out workers were of no help. One bright spot was one of the servers too bad I did not get her name. She had tattoos on her arm she kept checking on my order and kept apologizing for the wait. She should be named employee of the year just for the fact she cared about the customer not the ass in the kitchen or the girls taking the carry out order. The owner needs to come in and kick some ass or have Chef Robert Irvine or Jake Tapper come in and straighten out this bunch of yahoos Don't get me wrong the food is 4 star but after waiting 2+ hours for 4 pizzas and appetizer I have to give them 2 stars The owner needs to realize that he is losing repeat business with experience like this . read more

Pizza was not good at all, all dough with barely any taste. Very over priced as well (Almost $50 for 2 pizzas!). If people are saying this is the best pizza place in OBX, I don't even want to know what the other pizza places taste like. You're better off buying a frozen pizza from the grocery store. read more

Came here for lunch in July 2014 on a whim while on vacation. Waitstaff was super great and didn't mind when we abandoned our table (due to some boisterous children) to sit at the bar instead. The bartender was attentive and friendly, took our order right away, and gave us great hints for nightlife and other stuff to do. Best pizza ever...like ever. The fresh crab pizza was fantastic! This was our first meal upon arriving in the OBX and our final meal before heading home. Only place we have visited twice in the same visit in the 20 years we have been coming. Place was always packed but service was good and the staff were friendly and rolled with the insanity.
