My husband and I stopped here for lunch one Saturday. We were warmly greeted by all the staff and quickly received menus. I believe the owner was behind the bar, he was very friendly and eager to make our visit a good one. We got the white crab pizza and, seriously, it was one of the best pizzas I have ever had in my life. Everything was so well balanced, not too much or too little of anything. The crab was sweet and fresh, definitely an 11/10. We have had Cosmos several times over the years. It is good handmade pizza with good toppings and sauce. I think their crust tastes good and is cooked well to give a good crisp bite. We got the supreme with no green peppers, add jalapeño, and it was sooo good. Also ordered pepperoni and cheese pizzas and it was solid. Salads were very fresh and good (family Caesar and Traditional). Lettuce was crisp and had tons of good fresh toppings. 2 subs ordered by the girls looked good too. The bread looked fresh and well cooked. I really wanted a slice the next AM for breakfast but the boys tore it up in the late night... Given it's a pizza joint at a vacation destination, expect a long wait or time to get your order. We ordered 5 pizzas, 2 family size salads, and 2 subs on Friday night and it took 1.5 hours for carry-out. $187 for all that isn't too bad. Ordered food for pickup and then we stepped away for a bit to walk around while they were preparing the order. We came back a little later and asked the cashier, Matthew, if they had called me (as in called my name). Matthew proceeded to pop an attitude and say "No we're not going to call you." Trying to figure out where the attitude was coming from, I realized he thought I was asking if they were going to call my phone. I tried to clarify what I meant the second time and he just repeated what he told me before. And it wasn't until I gave him the same attitude he was giving me back that he finally gave me the answer I was looking for; an eta of when it would be ready. Dude's anger was blinding his common sense. If he didn't have such a nasty attitude to begin with, it wouldn't have taken him 4 tries to answer my question. He wasn't the only worker in there that seemed to hate his job either, because I noticed a couple of instances of workers mumbling passive aggressive things under their breath about customers. Food was alright (only reason this is getting a 2 star instead of 1) but Mathew's petty attitude left a bad taste in my family and I's mouth. I don't ask for much...be friendly and try to get the food right. Every dish was wrong - and the kicker was hair in my son's ranch. We called to order delivery (which is erroneously listed as an option when you search for delivery in the area, get that fixed Cosmo). Instead of owning up to the mistake, we were told we could've gotten it delivered 25 years ago, which, it was mansplained to us, was the last time they ever offered delivery (it's a quarter of a century later and the Internet says it's true so don't act like we're in the wrong here, pizza boy). But with no other option since Tomato Patch burned down (RIP), we placed an order...despite their confusion about what constitutes "buffalo wings" - but we'll get to that in a minute. We were told our order would be ready in 30 minutes, so our friend Susan graciously offered to pick up the pizza at exactly that time. She arrived and paid, and was told it'd be an additional 10 minutes for her order. Alright, fine, no problem...except another 30 minutes go by (we're over double the time they quoted us at this point), and instead of being apologetic, the men in this shop started loudly teasing her about the fact that she was still waiting (oh, Susie is mad at us! Look at how mad she is, LOLZ). Real funny, jerks who make mediocre pizza and don't understand what buffalo wings are (we literally just asked for wings with hot sauce on them, aka your normal buffalo wing, but an hour or so later the wings are still being held up because chef Cosmo doesn't understand how to make them). At this point the pizza (which finally came out after an hour) is getting cold in the car, Susan asks about the status of the wings - she's told that since this was a "specialty" order it's taking longer and they're still in the fryer. Not sure why you'd put that part of our order into the fryer while our 7 pizzas are getting colder and soggier by the minute in the car, but okay. *Spark notes version: This mediocre pizza and beyond basic wing selection is not worth the bad attitude you'll get at Cosmo's. Maybe they should think about reverting to the way they did business 25 years ago, when they'd literally go out of their way for customers instead of making fun of them to their face about their own crappy customer service. read more

Since I've never been advised by a server not to get a dish, I'll start with this. My entire party ordered dessert and after the server didn't know what one of the cakes was, she came back to tell us we shouldn't even order them. She told us that the restaurant has "really bad" desserts. I appreciated her honesty since I wouldn't want to pay for something horrible. However, I do not understand why they have such an extensive dessert menu on each table if they're not recommended. Now for dinner, everything the server did agree with was good. We had the breadsticks and the truffle fries. Then I got the veggie pizza, which had thickly cut fresh vegetables (instead of many veggie pizzas that have soggy tasteless peppers and mushrooms). They split half with the jahjah pie for us and all the ingredients stayed separated well. Their dough is pretty plain but I can't expect them to have as great of dough as New York. Besides missing out on dessert, my dinner was also dampened by the high level of noise in the place.
