OK pre-sales but once you've purchased no post sales support. I purchased a car there in December and have had two lingering post-sales items they promised to clean up. It has now been close to 8 weeks and whenever I call I get an endless loop of no answer, I'll transfer you, no answer, leave a message, no reply, no follow up, etc. I've called every week now and when I am lucky to get someone to answer in the finance or business office I get promises of "I'll get to it in a few days" and then never a return call. I am always polite on the phone but I've gotten tired enough of the run-around that I decided I needed to post a Yelp review for the benefit of others. This dealership claims great service but once they'v got your business you are of no interest to them - they are on to the next sale, next customer. I am looking into filing a complaint with the DMV regarding vehicle licensing issues. read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!! This place is as dishonest and unethical as they come. They don't care about their customers and will lie to you and string you along. My husband and I test drove a GMC Yukon XL with Reggie. He sold us on the car and had us meet his manager Tom. They tried to sell us the car at a rate that was above what we wanted to pay so we left. The next day they called and all the sudden the rate that was "the lowest" they could possibly go was lowered closer to the price that was within our budget. I wasn't too impressed with their tactics but it's a car dealership what do you expect! We filled out the application and they ran our credit which is EXCELLENT. I provided all the information they requested promptly. The next day they called and said they had sold the car to another customer because even though we had an excellent credit score the bank had made a mistake and while they were trying to clear it up the vehicle was erroneously sold to another customer. They literally sold the car we were buying to another person in the middle of our transaction. We are furious! You wasted our time, took our personal information, ran our credit and then had the audacity to call us up to say the car was sold to another customer! We were expecting a call to pick up the car instead we were given a story about how they "messed up" and sold the car they had pretty much sold us to another customer. My guess is they sold the car at a higher price to the other customer and had to come up with a story to justify backing out in the middle of the sale. We made a complaint and have yet to hear back from anyone at the dealership or their management. No one bothered to call and try to rectify this situation or apologize. If that wasn't bad enough I am getting generic marketing calls from their dealership to come and check out their deals. Buying a car is a time consuming stressful process and if you are giving your business and your money to a company you deserve to be treated with respect and honesty. This is not that company! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

Mark, the general manager, Shelly the salesman and Larry the finance guy could not have done more to ensure our satisfaction! I told my wife that I hate going through the process of buying a car, but I will have to say, this is the exception! Test drove a beautiful used 08 BMW 750LI that was on lot. After test drive went inside to talk a little business (see what our used Acura was worth as a trade in) after which we told our salesmen Nick that we had one other car to look at and would get back to them. After looking at other car we decided the car at Orange Coast was the one. Upon our return the offer was made that they would give us $1,500 as a trade in and $21,000 for purchase of the BMW (sticker was at $21,384). It was late and we decided that $1,500 was not enough as a trade in and walked away. The next morning Nick texted my husband and offered $2,000 as a trade in and $21,000 for the car. We called Nick and told him we'd like to buy the car for $21,000, bring our own financing and we would like the CD changer fixed and that we would be in sometime in the afternoon to do paperwork and pickup car. We arrived at dealership in the late afternoon and was told that they would not be fixing the CD changer and wanted us to use their financing. My husband then asked to lower the price of the car to offset fixing CD player. Nick went back and forth with Van Nguyen the Used Car Manager and then we were told that they had sold the car to someone else. We were told that until we signed papers that there was no deal. Since when is an offer over the phone not any kind of agreement. At least have the decency to call us and be up front. That was so rude...waste of our time and theirs!!! Jim Olsen has provided my wife and I with outstanding customer service over the last 3 years in connection with our 2013 Cadillac SRX. Most recently, when our car was at the dealership for an oil change, he recommended new tires (which it really needed since it had 40K miles on the original tires). So I contacted my discount tire guy (who buys tires at a car dealership, right?). Not only was Jim able to match the deal I had lined up, but he actually suggested an even better deal for the same Michelin tires that came on the car from the factory and saved me money! read more

I couldn't be more impressed with the quality of service and with the integrity with which they serve their customers. Jim Olson was the service rep and went above and beyond to help. He knew that my friend didn't have a lot of money to spend on cars or anything so he went out of his way to find an affordable solution for her. I'm a student of customer service over many years and found the atmosphere and all that I observed to be excellent. Service writer was very professional/polite. Came to pick up car and was surprised to see place locked up like Fort Knox by 6:20pm. I guess we are spoiled with Toyota's after hours pick up and I assumed that it was an industry standard. It would have helped for the advisor to have advised me that I needed to be there by 6:00 pm sharp. Would have also been more impressed if they had already washed my car rather than offer to wash it just when I was picking it up the next day. read more

Great appearance when you drive up. If you are looking at a used vehicle, you have to track down a sales person. I found a used vehicle I was interested in. It had been advertised on AutoTrader.com as a certified vehicle. During negotiations, they denied that it was a certified used vehicle. I then went on their web site and presented it to them and they continued to deny it. Eventually, they conceded, however it took almost 3 weeks to get the paper work which was promised to be in my hands in 3 days. Even as late as Friday, they were denying that it was a certified vehicle. This from their sales manager. The finance department is just as bad. I have excellent credit and have purchased other 2 other GMC vehicles under the same parameters as this one, but they were not able to secure financing, even though I gave them a 40% down payment. They were not overly helpful, cooperative, honest or even concerned about a customer. Very disappointed with the dealership but not the vehicle. They have simply reinforced the preconceived ideas most people have about a dealership. Be very, very careful. Do not accept anyone's word at this dealership. Get it in the contract and hold them to the letter of what is put down, otherwise you will be fighting with them to get what they promised. read more

I visited this lot wanting to just take a look at some new cadillacs. I met Jose right at the beginning and was blown away with how professional and understanding he was. He had so much product knowledge and really believed in his product, which made me believe in it as well. He really opened my eyes on how amazing a cadillac eacalade would work best for me and my family. I am very close to purchasing a car and there is no doubt where I will be going to do so. This place is very clean and a large dealership. Most of the people are courteous. However, I went in for an oil change and was told my car needs a radiator flush, battery, serpentine belt and there's an oil leak. It just so happens that my radiator is brand new, my serpentine belt is fairly new and my battery is 2 years old. I did not have an oil leak until they changed the oil. So now I get to take it elsewhere to have them fix the oil leak. I looked at my serpentine belt when I got home. It's in perfect condition. OH! and my ABS light is on and they told me my brakes are fine. If you decide to have your car serviced here keep in mind that mechanics are paid on commission, so they're going to try to sell you things you don't need. read more

Staff was friendly and professional for the most part. This is the second GMC we've purchased from this dealership and both experiences have been good enough to be a repeat customer. I always know my stuff before I start negotiating...the sales guys were very fair and willing to work with me. I can't say I like being upsold in any environment (especially dealerships) but these guys took NO for an answer and we walked away with a deal we're very happy with. i was there to purchase a car, $12000, i went in there already with my financing and they, wanted me to use their banks, then Ron was too busy not listening to my requests and wanted to make a sale. I originally asked for John Liddi, but to no avail, none of the sales me would get him, I came back later with my financing papers and not only was Ron gone but he never called to say Walter would handle the sale. Walter show lack of customer service, he and Ken(financing) are soo ready to push you out the door with out trying to help get you into a car. I would not recommmend going here and buying your car, However if you do, just be prepared to be prejuded by these people that show no concern for the customer. read more

It is difficult for me to ever give anyone a 5 star rating but this dealership goes above and beyond helping you make a decision on a car. I have always bought Ford products but I had a horrible experience with Palm Springs Ford so this is the first time since 1965 I am purchasing a GMC product. I think my car was the least expensive on the lot. I had a price in mind and I knew I could not exceed the price or car payments I had budgeted for. They gave me a very fair price on my trade in and met my payments. The salesman that helped me knew everything about the product I purchased and not one time tried to sell me anything out of my price range with all the bells and whistles. The only person that tried to sell me anything was the lady that handles the extended warranty. Very nice lady but my payment would have been out of my range. But I may still think of the extended warranty. The bottom line is I feel I was treated, with the purchase of a less expensive car, as I would have with the purchase of a high end Cadillac. It's all about customer service and they deserve a 5 star now hopefully the car will live up to the 5 star rating. Ceil B. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! We first visited the dealership in early August explaining to the salesman, Eric I believe, that we would be back either on or before Labor day weekend to pick up a White Denali. In the evening on August 28th we had decided we would go in the following day so we visited GMC.com and followed the "Apply for Credit" link under shopping tools as we knew we wanted the 0% financing deal being offered. This link took us to Ally financial which is where we applied and were subsequently approved for the loan needed. On August 29th we arrived at the dealership and examined the vehicles and found one that would work. We sat down and began the tedious negotiations as we had brought with us reports from Edmunds, KBB, and TrueCar detailing what we should pay. We also brought 2 copies of our pre-approval from Ally financial, one for us, one for them. After haggling for over an hour we progressed with them requiring that we complete a credit application. We explained that we did not want to have our credit run as our financing was in place. At this point a senior salesman, Ben Bergman, had taken over for Jason, obviously due to his inexperience. We do admit that we were being very difficult about pricing and the details. When Ben detailed that we must fill out the application, we declined and proceeded to leave the dealership. Fred, the finance manager on site, grabbed us outside the door and explained that it wasn't them, it was the Patriot act that required our credit be run. Well, we've been in finance for years and that is an outright lie because the Patriot act does not require that. However, we do understand that it could be their policy so we accepted and came back allowing them to proceed. Over several hours we finally completed the deal and were shuttled off to the finance department's desk with Jane. There I could see Jane began entering our detail into the computer and I reminded her that we were pre-approved through Ally and all she had to do was look up our loan. She said "oh, nobody told her that, great, she'd get it done and get it from the salesman." Well we closed the deal and brought our beautiful new truck home. That evening we received an alert from our credit bureau that not only had the dealership run our credit, which we'd expected, but they had also re-submitted our application to Ally as a new loan and Ally had run our credit again, not even 24 hours after the initial pull. We immediately called Ally and all they could confirm was that the dealership had submitted our loan as a new application, not using our pre-approval. As we knew it is a nightmare to deal with such issues we decided to relax for a few days and deal with it the following week. On a comical note the following week we received a call from Ben our salesman asking how we were doing and if we were still in the market to buy a new Denali. We reminded him that we already had, he laughed and apologized. Ben then called us again Thursday, Sept 12, to ask how the vehicle was, at which point we explained the situation in depth and how upset we were as we had yet to get anything resolved. He said he would talk with his manager and call us back. Within minutes we received a call from the dealership manager Ken Kang (SP) who said he would talk to Jane, who was out of the office and would call us back. As of today, Sept 24th neither him nor Jane has ever called us back. We submitted a review requested by email from GMAC and we immediately received a call from their dealer department asking about the experience. We explained, in depth to the agent who called the dealership while we were on hold and was told the dealership would contact us, they never did. Next, I promptly received a call from Donna the district dealer manager whom I went into depth with and she also agreed that nothing by law requires a dealer to run your credit if you have financing in place, especially when the financing is through the GMAC partner Ally. She contacted the dealership as well and again Jane is out of the office, but she would call and get it resolved. I have since spoken to Donna several times who has also called the dealership several times speaking to Fred, who remembers me, who told her that they are required to run our credit to have backup financing, a different story than he told me, as well as untrue given our financing was through the GMAC partner Ally. Fred said he would speak with Jane, who again, was out of the office. Another twist was the letter I received from Ally stating that Jane had not filled out the sales contract properly and we would be required to resign. We presumed that they would have to call us about this, but we have yet to hear from the dealership about this either. So, here were are 3-4 weeks after a $70k purchase and none of the managers feel it's necessary to pick up the phone and call me to fix their mistakes or even try to make a customer happy. read more

Fred in service was fantastic. Quick and friendly. An asset based on my experience here. My car buying/leasing experience here was quite the opposite. Just an absolute mess of a situation. Nobody knew about the offers, called me back about the wrong car, pushed me toward another car when I stated I was not interested simply because he knew nothing about the car I wanted. After talking to the sales manager about my experience he proceeded to tell me (with an attitude) about the fact that he's had a frustrating day too. Great service. The only reason I bought from here was because my car was stuck in service. I was very close to having it towed to another dealer but because I was on a motorcycle in January weather, I decided to bite the bullet. JT saved the deal and was truly the only person who made things happen. It's no wonder Cadillac has a hard time connecting to a younger market, the experience is tiresome and you have to wait for 20 different calls from 5 people to get things done. read more

Very poor customer service, disappointing. I own a Cadillac sedan that I have taken here in the past for service. A part has been recalled and needs to be replaced. When I called the Service Department, an operator told me she could not make me an appointment because I needed service for a recalled part. The operator said she would need to send a message to a Service Technician who would then have to call me back to schedule my appointment after ensuring the recalled part is in stock at the dealership. I waited all day; never received a call back. When I called at the end of the day I spoke with an operator who told me the same. I told her I waited all day for a call back and never received one. She said there was nothing she could do but send another message to a Service Technician. I inquired about the first message earlier in the day and asked if it ever even got sent to a Service Technician. She did not know. I asked if the first message even got sent, and if it did then why a Service Technician. She did not know and asked to take my info all over again so she could send another message to a Service Technician to call me back. All I got was the run around from the operator who could not even schedule me an appointment. And this is for a recalled part, so I am not the only one calling for appointments like this. So the Service Department either has very poor customer service because they do not return phone calls in a timely manner, or they have major internal communication problems because personnel are not receiving these so-called "messages" to call customers back. I will not be bringing my car to this dealership for service anymore. read more

I have purchased 3 cars from this dealership (under the previous name of OC Buick GMC Cadillac). My return to the dealership speaks volume of the service provided. There were a couple of hiccups throughout the relationship but the company addressed my concerns and I was able to purchase my car of choice. salesman was great! The service department is excellent!. All the service advisors work together and support each other when it comes to servicing the customer. I have not experienced the jealous competition that you may sometimes experience with other service departments. I really appreciate all the guys Cruz, Fred, Jason and one other gentleman whose name escape me at this time. Great team of advisors. We've been using Orange Coast since it was Naber's. The same staff is there and gives us the same prompt, competent service as with our first Cadillac and Yukon. Went to Cruz Pena for help with my gmc envoy and all I got is bad service I took thr car to get an estimate since this is an older model and didn't want to invest more then is worth and this was enough for Cruz to try to take advantage of the situation I got the estimate and was very high for the work to be done over $600 for for new front breaks and don't even mention the rest but what was the worst is that the guy after pricing me $127 for the estimate tried to stiff me with an oil change that I never ordered new light bulbs that I never ordered a then he tells me first that he will include the light bulbs into the $127 so that I felt like I got something done for the charge and then he tells me that he was going to charge me for the oil change and lord knows what, after that so, I told him right there that I didn't need the oil change and that was done just last months for that I just wanted to pay his initial quote of $127, then he changed the all story and instead of including the light bulbs into the quote I he went and charged me for it I guess he was desperate to make the extra $9.52 rather then keeping his word, very disappointing will never go here again I guess the renovation of the dealership must have cost more then budgeted and the $9.52 has helped Car dealers .....???? read more

I just moved to California from New York and I was overwhelmed with the having to get a car and all the options on the market. I am SO glad I came to this dealership and had the opportunity to meet and work with Reginald Peterson (Reggie). He was so kind, so knowledgeable and helped me every step of the way. I ran into a few issues just moving here but Reggie went above and beyond to make the deal happen for me and get me the vehicle of my dreams! At the end of the week I was genuinely sad that I would be talking and seeing Reggie because he wasn't just a salesman anymore he'd become a friend. Helping me with my car, teaching me about the area and offering great insight to not just GMC but California. I can't speak highly enough of Reggie and the entire team at this location. I have been looking for a 2017 or 2018 GMC Canyon 4x4 in the Metallic Silver. When I was ready to purchase, I wound up going through the USAA car buying service. After entering all the info into their system about the truck and hitting "enter", we instantly received quite a few calls from various Orange County dealers. All of the dealers were very nice however, none of them had the truck color we desired. Dennis Bala from Suburban GMC called around 7 PM that night. First, Dennis asked what my wife was cooking for dinner and since it was tacos, he jokingly asked if he could come over. Getting down to business, he did have the exact model we were interested in (2017) and agreed to look at my 2005 Tundra as a trade in. We arrived at their dealership last Friday morning and looked over the truck, took a nice test drive and agreed to make the purchase at an agreeable price. Dennis and his whole team took excellent care of us, fed us tacos, soft drinks etc while we waited for the paperwork to be printed up. And they did agree to take my Tundra at what I thought was a very fair price. My wife and I could not have been happier with the whole process including their knowledge, service and friendliness. Being a Toyota owner since 1978, I was a little nervous making the jump to another brand but am so happy with my purchase. Management at this store was Totally Unprofessional........The internet manager told me in writing in several emails that if I came down (75 miles) to the dealership to purchase a particular car they would sell it to me for very close to my offer. He also stated that my offer was reasonable. We drove down to test drive and purchase the vehicle. After the test drive we sat down and asked for the price we were offered. Manager Mark came back and gave me a price more than $2100.00 over what they offered me online. Not only did he try to charge me $2100.00+ over what they previously offered it to me for but he calculated the grand total based on the lot price which was $300.00 more than the price the car was advertised for on the internet. While sitting at the table he contacted the internet manager Marcos on a cell phone speakerphone and proceeded to reprimand him for offering me such a low price. Totally unprofessional. It also appeared to be a pre arranged act. They gave me the name of the general manager Joel who i called the next day and explained the situation to. He stated that Mark was in fact unprofessional. He then asked me to forward all the emails to him for review and that he would get back to me the next day. I did exactly what he asked and never heard back from him. I send the email to both his email addresses and called him 3 times on 3 different days and left messages. He never called me back. I ended up buying the exact same car from a family owned used car dealership for $400 dollars more than I was quoted by OC Coast and the car I purchased had 9000 less miles! And they were totally Professional. This oc coast dealership doesnt even deserve 1 star and definitely does NOT deserve your business....... read more
