For oil changes they usually move quick, though they always have at least a short wait. They used to let you pull your car in and stay in it the whole time, but now insist on doing it for you. For car washes you sometimes have to go through twice for missed spots, but it's nice that they hand-dry here. Plus, you get a free wash with every oil change. The vacuums aren't the greatest on suction, but they are okay for a quick once over. The staff is kind of hit and miss. Sometimes friendly, sometimes not so much, but usually easygoing. Prices are about on par for similar services in town. I like that they are a good place to get everything done at once.

(See pictures) David the store manager keeps ARGUING) not stating ( ARGUING) that they put the right oil in it. I got a flashing oil check light 30 miles outside of Lubbock, so I had to get oil replaced in post Texas. They did not have a filter for my van in Post and were not able to empty out the oil left in filter. When I got to sweet water, flashing oil light again so I bought the right oil and filter and got it replaced again! I was told that someone in corporate would be reaching out to me, but 1 week later nothing. Called store manager David at the Indiana location and he is giving me the runaround. They want me to take vehicle in again to do a scan check to make sure van engine wasn't damaged... I'm supposed to trust their diagnostic???

So I didnt choose anything that was the only option I was given by the tech. 100 % dissatisfied, the ad/flyer is and was very misleading. The only thing stated is that it would be $20 unless it required more quarts. Nothing else in the promo that was ran for the grand opening. Woke up and drove from another town because I thought this was a great deal. Ended up having to pay 95 because they said the car is a specialty car. Regardless if it is or isn't the ad clearly stated 19.84 oil change for grand opening. Although they offered $30 off the total price of 125.74 thats completely misleading. What should have been $20 ended up being more than I would've paid at my regular oil change place. FALSE ADS/PROMOS. They def could have done way more or allowed for the price due to their negligence with providing false information in the ad or even not enough information to include specialty cars (genesis 2022). The lobby and restroom were exceptionally clean, the staff was very professional and courteous, and they were kind and friendly and welcoming in person and on the phone with everyone I saw them interact with, despite being busy. They were quick to diagnose and repair the minor issue that had been caused by an incorrectly installed fuel filter, and got me and my son back on the road safely. The original factory fluid degrades and loses friction modifiers, which causes a slipping and shuddering sensation. I went in that morning and was quoted a little over $800 for a full machine flush. I originally stated it needed fluid for the 8-speed, which was incorrect; it needed a different fluid because mine has the 6-speed. It is cheaper, although not by much. I got an invoice later that day for an inspection and "transmission fluid diagnostic" for $150. They then went on to tell me the issue was my brake rotors, when it was clearly not an issue with the brakes. The shuddering happens when accelerating and shifting into 3rd gear, especially up inclines or after making turns. They do not listen to me and dismiss my reasoning, stating their tech is a 20-year qualified Chevy tech and knows what he's doing. Clearly, he does not, because this is an extremely common, well-known issue with many of these drivetrains. They stated the transmission was fine because they checked the fluid (which they charged me $150 to do, by the way) and said it looked fine. This specific issue cannot be determined by such a test, as the fluid appears fine on a test but is broken down microscopically and contaminated. I told them very clearly I would simply like them to do a full machine flush and call it good. They agreed. Later, I got an invoice for a "transmission fluid exchange service," which is NOT a machine flush, and it only replaces around half of the old fluid. They charged me around half of what the original quote had said, which was conveniently gone. They said it was because of the different, cheaper fluid. That fluid is slightly cheaper as previously stated, but not $200 cheaper. They copy-pasted the "11.2 quarts" of fluid it needs, which is the exact capacity and retrieved from a standard maintenance bulletin, into the new invoice and charged me for it all and only replaced around half of that. I tried to politely go in and state my case but was continually dismissed and lied to. I will never take my business back to this place and would recommend everyone else do the same.

That was several months ago and I haven't gone anywhere else since! I work during the week, so I get my oil changes done on Saturday mornings. The last time that I was there, I noticed that they offer a discount for military (both active duty and veterans) on Mondays. I told the cashier that both my husband and I are veterans and asked about coming in on a Monday to get the discount. I thought that I would be told that I would need some kind of proof of our service and to return on a Monday. Instead, the cashier said "Thank you for your service." and gave me the discount right then and there! No documents were needed. This discount saved me more than ten dollars. Not only will I be back, but I advised my husband to bring his truck in for oil changes. I vaguely remember seeing a discount for First Responders and I think that they have other discounts as well. So you need to check for yourself to see if they have any discounts you qualify for.

I went back to him recently for that repair and to make an appointment just to find out his shop was closed and he passed away of covid. So very sad. So now I was on the hunt for another reliable and fair priced mechanic. That is hard to do here. So many places are a ripoff!!! I went to 3 that looked under my hood and quoted over $450, $550 and one almost $600!!! I knew exactly what I needed and had an idea of the cost. So I was extremely frustraited from these over priced places. I pulled into a parking lot to call on more. One place would not even quote me over the phone when I told them exactly what I needed. BIG RED FLAG THERE! I finally got a great quote half the price of these crooks. I spoke with Shawn at DRIVE AUTO REPAIR and he was so pleasant and gave me a quote I was expecting. I took my 05 Nissan Altima in the next morning. He even called me that morning to verify I wanted both mounts replaced and said he would go pick up the mounts now. I was so appreciative of his call. Shawn really knows his craft and also went the extra mile to cap off my antifreez and fix the rattle on my hood. He also suggested another issue that should be repaired soon and showed me exactly what it was and printed out my cost. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DRIVE AUTO REPAIR AT 12411 UNIVERSITY!!!! The best!!! He got all my vehicle information and told me that my breaks needed to be replaced. With the military discount that the owner offered me, my repairs were going to be at about 90.00. I still did not have enough, but the owner took what I had on me as payment. 9-6-19 I went in to get my break repairs done. The mechanic was fast in getting them done, I hardly had to wait. When done, he checked his work and made sure I was satisfied with his work. I was definitely more than satisfied with his workmanship. I'm greatly indebted to the staff and mechanic at "Drive Auto Repair" for helping me, financially in the repairs of my breaks. I believe I have found me my own personal auto shop for my car, not because of the military discount, or financial assistance given to me, but because of their kindness, great workmanship, quickness, friendly staff and mechanic.
