Favorite spot to go to for some Tex mex. The workers are all really nice and the food comes out delicious as always!

Costa Vida took some persuasion from family members before I got onboard. Now, well, I'll eat there without protesting. Baby steps, right?? There's usually a line, and it moves fairly quickly. Part of the reason is the employees behind the counter. They flat get the job done. That's both good and bad. Good, because the line keeps moving. Bad, because you really need to know what you're ordering. There's pressure! Chop, chop! No one likes a lollygagger! Or, at least, that's the way I often feel while in line. Pro tip, look at the online menu before you're in line and know what you want. The food options can be fairly healthy. Or, if you're like me, the food can be fairly healthy, but yeah, not so much. We tend to order the same dishes, probably because we like them. I think you'll find what you like as well. Here's what we buy, and are always happy with it. Specialty Drinks: Horchata: A traditional Mexican rice milk with a creamy-sweet taste and hints of cinnamon.  Quesadillas: Filled with meat and cheese. Served with cilantro lime rice and choice of beans. **If you do not want beans and rice, choose the "A La Carte Entrée" On this visit, we substituted Chips & Queso: house fried tortilla chips served with Costa's custom queso. Also, we ordered the two tacos plate: made with grilled chicken and shredded beef, cheese, lettuce and pico de gallo. Served with cilantro lime rice and choice of beans. **If you do not want beans and rice, choose the "A La Carte Entrée". The ambiance is casual fast food. Anyways clean and well managed. It's fairly noisy when crowded, which seems to be each time we visit. In short, Costa Vida isn't your normal fast food Mexican food restaurant. I encourage you to give them a try.

I haven't been here in years and decided to give it a try again today. I did online order with curbside pickup. That went smooth. The guy was nice who brought the order out. My order total was over $22. I get home to find the attached picture. Taste wise, it's like I remember, decent. Price wise, not worth what I paid for two tacos, rice and beans. The tacos don't have hardly any meat on them, hardly any lettuce and includes only 2. 3 would be reasonable especially if they aren't going to have much meat on them. For almost $10. The steak bowl is so small for almost $12. Very odd. At least the dish for steak bowl could be as big as the dish they give for the taco entree. Not really impressed Hopefully it's just a fluke because I wouldn't mind going back.

We had a group of 22 people and the staff were very on top of making sure that our drink orders were taken immediately, followed by our food order. Big shout out to Jaden who took care of us - she's was awesome and did a fantastic job even with our complicated orders. I shared the Texas Surf and Turf with a few others a the smell of the sizzling platter triggered the drooling right away. It has steak, chicken, and shrimp served with tortillas, beans, rice, pico, and sour cream. It was hot and fresh when it came out and had a great flavor! Their margaritas were great too! The had a good flavor and very balanced. I would definitely go back to try more of the menu!

Unfortunately, the food was a bit of a letdown. The fajitas seemed like they had been sitting for a while and weren't served as hot as they should have been, and the tortillas were cold. I also felt the food and drinks were a little overpriced for the overall quality. That said, every restaurant can have an off night. Based on the great atmosphere, I'd be willing to give them another chance. Hopefully, my next visit will better match the enjoyable vibe they have going.

I ordered iced tea, and unfortunately, ours was the only table that never received a refill, which was disappointing. Other than that, everything was very satisfying. If the mood strikes, I'd like to come back and try other dishes. The Orange Roughy Ceviche came in a larger portion than it looked in the photos, with a very fruity flavor and plenty of fresh fish and shrimp. Since I can't handle spicy food at all, I had to carefully remove the chopped jalapeños, but there weren't too many, and I was still able to enjoy the dish fully. For my main course, I had the Tropical Salad topped with skirt steak. The honey balsamic vinaigrette paired beautifully with both the steak and the fruit. The meat was tender and of good quality, and I was very pleased with it. My husband ordered the chimichanga. He said the burrito and its filling were high‑quality and delicious, but the chile con queso sauce on top wasn't quite to his taste. The flan we ordered to go was large, not overly sweet, and had a wonderfully toasty caramel flavor -- just the way I like it

I arrived during the lunch rush, and both the parking lot and the restaurant were packed. Even though they were extremely busy, we were immediately greeted by a courteous and polite young man who quickly escorted us to a booth. We were seated in Ms. Maria's section, and she was a wonderful server. She greeted us with a warm smile, brought us menus along with the lunch menu, chips and salsa, and promptly served our water. She gave us plenty of time to look over the menu and was friendly, attentive, and very courteous throughout our meal. The chips and salsa were very good. My only suggestion would be to offer a salsa without cilantro for those who prefer it. We ordered the Create Your Own Combo Plate, which included a chicken flauta, a crispy taco, rice, and refried beans topped with cheese for $15.50. The taco was perfectly crispy and well seasoned, while the chicken flauta was covered in a flavorful red chile sauce that had just the right amount of heat. The rice and refried beans were seasoned perfectly and complemented the meal well. We also ordered the chimichanga, smothered in cheese sauce and served with rice and refried beans, for $16.00. It was well seasoned, delicious, and satisfying. The flavors weren't overpowering--they were balanced and enjoyable, making it a dish I would gladly order again. This was my first visit to Mi Dia From Scratch, and I came away very impressed. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lively, and the restaurant also offers a nice outdoor seating area. Between the excellent service and flavorful food, I will definitely be back. I hope you'll give it a try too!
