Great chicken salads with lots of options. I have yet to visit Costa Vida and not leave with a smile. The most friendly greeters that say amazing greetings at each encounter. The food prices are great, the food is hot and fresh. Always wearing a face mask for protection and gloves. The salad bowl with a tortilla is great which is usually my go to meal. Calorie intake listed so you know what your getting. Please support this amazing establishment, you won't be disappointed!!

    Grand opening.

We stopped in here for grand opening at lunch today and to no surprise there were already quite a few people there. We got there right about 11 and there were 83 people in front of us. We know this because they handed out tags for the first 100 people visiting that give them free soft drinks for a year. Fun. It took about an hour to get through the line. Again no surprise since they were handing our prizes and other incentives to get lots of people showing up for grand opening. If you have never been to Costa Vida, it's a similar format to chipotle or any of those other chains except they actually have options. You basically pick your format tacos, nachos, enchiladas, bowl, salad, burrito, etc. Then you combine that with the protein you want including grilled chicken, sweet pork, steak, raspberry chicken, and shrimp. They're reality excited about their shrimp, but I don't eat shrimp in Mansfield. I went with the salad. While the salad was good, if you are trying to avoid excess calories, sugar, and carbs, you need to be careful. I had a chat with a manager and asked him what had sugar in it: the sweet pork, and raspberry chicken absolutely do. I think the green sauce has sugar in it as well. Now with the salad, if you get it as it comes, I can almost assure you it will have more carbs, fat, etc than the burrito would. That's because it comes served upon a burrito sized tortilla. Then they add beans and rice to it. I'm not sure why would want that on a salad to begin with. Then after you get everything on it, they serve it with fried tortilla strips. I passed on the beans and rice and I recommend skipping the tortilla as well. I didn't even try it as it seemed to be a bit hard. That could just be a first day issue. As far as the protein goes, I got the steak and I thought the flavor was good. They gave me a fair amount of it as well. Not sure if that's a normal, or I just didn't get a manager serving it up. The ranch is pretty tasty. I did hear it has MSG in it so be aware of that if you have issues with that. Everything else they do is pretty fresh. In general, I would say their portion sizes are quite large. Many of the entrees have an option of a "small" option. I would definitely do that for the bowl and salad if not some of the other entrees. The default size is way too large. However, if you are looking for an enchilada or taco, you probably want the regular size since they only come with one on the small size. They have some beer options and possibly wine. Apparently they have frozen margaritas but I doubt they are true margaritas with tequila. I'll need to verify that. Be sure and download the app so that you can collect rewards and get discounts on future purchases. I'd definitely go back as there are some options but just be careful if you are looking for healthy options. They have daily specials that come with a drink at $7.99 so that's not a bad deal.

How many chips were left in our bag but they refused to return the chips with the rancid queso.

The food is alright. Service is bad. We ordered chips and queso for $5.99 and there was something wrong with the queso. They would only refund $1.99 because they said thats the value of the queso without the chips, which we wanted a refund on as well but they wouldn't do it - even though we only ate 3 chips (to try the queso) before deciding to return them. We hadn't been here in a year and now I understand why this place is empty 90% of the time.

Great salad!!! Fresh ingredients and great flavor. I love the grilled chicken.

Grilled chicken salad is amazing! Fresh ingredients and wonderful flavor. The employees are friendly and attentive. Check it out!

    Kids taco with grilled steak

I ordered a kids meal taco plate with grilled steak and there was hardly any meat on there at all....It didn't even cover half of the tortilla. I also ordered a large chips and queso and the queso was only half full. Disappointing experience at Costs Vida in Mansfield.

Passed through Mansfield on my reviews and found a stylish ride next to a popping getaway. I love it. It shows class, and obviously they are with the "Mini" club. So reach out and drop bye and post some love. I'm gonna swing back and get some more pics from inside. Post additional pics and information. Stay real and support "Mini" business. Johnny Mini-out

Well well well finally! Costa Vida is open!! It's off and running AND having a amazing 1st week! I'm excited for this new addition to Mansfield and wishing them much success and hope they enjoy all of us fun Mansfield locals, cuz we are coming in ready to eat some good fresh Mexican food! I'm a total fan of the steak salad but today when I popped in I had the chicken salad with the tomatillo dressing. I love the special dressings they have it's all very good! The lettuce looks wonderful everything fresh and the service/staff was so happy and upbeat. I was with some friends and we ordered some extra goodies (see the few fun desserts below) I'm impressed and will clearly be a regular here. Thanks Costa Vida for a fun opening and wishing you all the best at this new location. See you again soon!

I'm from California and we know our way around some fine Mexican cuisine but Mama Cuca's was SO good. I spent two of my 4 nights in Midlothian at this restaurant. The grilled and stuffed poblano pepper is an absolute MUST HAVE. I'd never had it before but at the recommendation of our server, I gave it a try. I would have kicked myself if I had passed, it was outstandingly well prepared and flavorful :) But this review isn't actually about the food ... @Jessica and @Paty @Guillermo I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Andrew on my first night at Mama Cuca's and America in the bar on my second night. I've worked in Michelin restaurants in Napa Valley and these two professionals are genuinely absolute ACES in the craft of customer service. I don't write reviews to complain so when i take the time to write these it is because the service or quality was so outstanding that I NEED other people to know so they don't miss out on such an incredible experience. Both America & Andrew had us laughing and enjoying every minute chatting with them. The incredible food, combined with incredible staff ... needless to say I passed along my experiences to the folks I was in town to help with a tech deployment and will be coming back myself in a few months when I'm in town again. THANK YOU SINCERELY, America and Andrew, for providing one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I can recall. I would come back for the food but i will be back multiple nights for this incredible experience. You two ROCK!!!! And Paco, I met you late in the experience but i gotta give you props, from a former bartender at some swanky spots ... you're a REAL ONE my man.

It was served up similar to how fajitas traditionally are served, on a hot plate, along with onions, peppers, pico, and cheese. The roasted jalapeño was an added touch. Nice! It came with beans and rice, but I opted for double beans. The beans were flavored good enough, with cheese on top. The table was served with chips and salsa. While the chips were just alright, the salsa was flavorful but not too spicy. Jorge made up our piña coladas and they were SO SO good! They serve the TRADITIONAL ones with crème de coco, rum, and pineapple juice, like what we get in Mexico! No premix in a machine, but the real deal. Super! I can't believe that I've never before visited Mariano's Hacienda Ranch. I've been missing out on some great Tex-Mex! I knew I was going to have a great meal when I got out of the car and smelled the Mesquite smoke from the grill that Mariano's uses. The food was awesome and delicious. My Margarita was tasty, with a very generous pour of Tequila. The two salsas, traditional and warm chipotle, were fresh, with vibrant flavors of tomatoes, chilies, onions, cilantro. The guacamole was the perfect combination of avacado, lime, salt, cilantro, and onion. Our queso came with dollops of sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, and Picadillo ground beef. My lovely Wife had 3 Shrimp en Brochette with a Sour Cream Chicken Enchilada. She was overjoyed with her flavorful Mariano's Hacienda Ranch Tex-Mex dinner! I was so very happy with my delicious Beef Fajitas (they used tender outside skirt steak) with onions and peppers, all grilled over Mesquite coals. The flavors of Mesquite permeated my fajitas with smoky, sweet goodness, while the marinated meat was grilled perfectly over high heat, to yield juicy, seared, melt-in-your-mouth, beef flavor. Service was friendly and professional. Our meal was relatively inexpensive, offering great value for the high quality of the very tasty Tex-Mex cuisine.
