I've been here before and got great food, but came back and I don't normally complain but it was a bit of a bummer. I got a half pork half steak salad with the normal Costa Vida ranch. The ranch was way runnier than normal, the meat was dry and they skimped me on my meat, but other than that everything else was good. I love costa Vida and been to this location before, but this batch they made was just a bummer. I'll probably go to another location in the future, a little farther to drive, but worth it to get a good meal. read more

I live for their sweet pork burritos. This location has always been super friendly and quick even during rush hours and lunchtime. They have specials of the day and are one of the only places that charges LESS if you do the veggie option, which has been great for some of my vegetarian friends. Update: they have been trying a lot harder to be careful. The best time to go is right when it opens to minimize risk of exposure. This location used to be very careful with being gluten-free but it seems change in management has made it so they are no longer trying very hard. I love Costa Vida! It is one of my favorite places. However I have been let down by this location the last three visits. Today was the most ridiculous. I ordered chicken nachos to go, specifically asking for queso on the side. I didn't bother to check the bag because I feel as though Costa Vida is pretty reliable when it comes to Togo orders. When I got home there was no queso. Which is annoying but not a huge deal. What was a huge deal is the nachos themselves. It doesn't take much knowledge to know that nachos should have more cheese than a sprinkle on top. I'll stick with other locations from now on that are more consistent. read more

THIS location is the WORST. They are extremely inconsistent with their quality and portions. There have been multiple occasions when my wife and I threw our meal away due to the poor quality. Crunchy black beans, fat in the pork, lumpy sauce, and this is not just at closing too. This Costa Vida always is a disappointment. We live 2 blocks away and tend to go here out of convince over anything. I strongly recommend spending the extra time, goto the original, aka Cafe Rio, and get something that is better quality and more consistent. It's worth it. Don't come here in the evening! I go to lunch here almost every week. The service is usually really fast and the food is good. I decided to go here after getting off work late and it felt like I was in a different restaurant. The line was really slow and it literally had half the people it normally does. The workers weren't attentive and I stood there for a few minutes as I watched the plates pileup after exiting the oven. Then the guy that put refried beans on my plate splattered it all down the side and on the bottom and they just put a top on it and shoved it in the bag getting refried beans everywhere. I had to ask them for a clean bag and go wipe everything off myself. No one even apologized or offered to help. If you go here past 5 in the evening good luck! read more

I've been eating at both Costa Vida and Cafe Rio for years, thinking they were interchangeable. FALSE. Cafe Rio is so much better. Costa Vida isn't even close. We ordered a pork burrito, tacos, chips, and queso. The queso was not very good at all, and the chips were bagged chips. Cafe Rio has fresh chips and really good queso. I wish they used different cheese on their burritos and tacos, too. The yellow cheese blend is not as good as Cafe Rio's white cheese blend. I was starving and didn't want to drive farther for Cafe Rio, but next time I will. Also, their tortillas aren't very good. Weird, mushy texture. read more

I have loved this place in the past and eaten here many times. I'm sad to write a negative review. Over time they have cut down how much meat they give you. They have never given much on the small salads but now it has gotten ridiculous. Our whole family (6 of us) were so disappointed last time we went. I got a minimal amount of pork and so did the rest of my family. We now go to other Costa Vida's for dinner. Other locations are not as skimpy. Orem and American Fork are great. read more

Let me just say I like to be there, but this particular location in Pleasant Grove Utah, have some serious problems. First they do not listen! Second they charge you extra for their mistakes! Where the place stinks as in bathroom stinks as in smells like something is not getting clean. I asked to speak to the manager, but it turns out he is one of the people that were not listening when I made my order. How hard is it to listening! I've had problems calling in an order and hour before they close and they won't answer the phone or when the answer they, gave me some attitude, and tell me were closing "we're closing"and I said yeah not for an hour, and they hang up. read more

Horrible service slow cashier very unorganized hate going there love costa but this place needs some help

My husband and I go to this location on a weekly basis for the chicken salad. We have always been satisfied until today. The guy who put the meat on for the salad gave us the smallest amount I have ever seen. And the rice and beans on my husbands salad was just as sparse. I went into costa vida tonight for dinner. And I ordered a salad, everyone was super nice. But I got home to eat my salad and my ranch dressing had spilled all over my bag. Grabbed food here yesterday at about 5. The initial ordering experience was great via someone whose name tag said Shift Lead. Somehow as we moved down the line, the service was less and less helpful and friendly. I had to ask for tortilla strips to be put into my tortilla soup, because the person who was finishing the orders was clearly newer to this position. Fine. No sweat, right? We all have to learn new things. But he was STRUGGLING and the woman who was the cashier was not only curt and unhelpful to him, but MANY workers passed by seeing that there were issues and no one offered to help him. It wasn't anything major, but he forgot a smothered burrito for the person in front of us, and no one apologized to that Customer and by the time they offered to dress her burrito with pick and lettuce, she was so frustrated that she just took it and left. The cashier was solely interested in ringing people up and droning on about how I should do the review on the receipt... it is probably in her best interest that I don't. read more

Out of all the Costa Vida's I've eaten at, this one really goes out of their way to make sure they make your meal completely gluten free! When you request that, they will remove their gloves, wash their hands and put new gloves on.. Plus the staff is really nice! read more
