So I had heard about all the mixed reviews for the Tire Center and was definitely apprehensive, but I needed tires and as a Costco member I decided to do it. I placed my tire order through the Costco app and scheduled the installation for about a week or so later. Day of, I got there about an hour before they opened, as my appointment was for when they opened at 10a, and there was already a line about eight people deep. They opened early, around 9a, and by the time I got up to the counter to check in, about 9:15a, the man said he couldn't check me in and to come back when it was time for my scheduled appointment at 10. Seemed odd since they were taking walk in's, but I waited outside until about 9:45a and then got back in line figuring it would be about 10 by the time I would be at the front of the ever growing line. Finally got to the counter around 9:50a, and he checked me in, said it would be between 1 to 2 hours. I strolled through Costco for one hour and then got a text that my car was ready. I went back inside the Tire Center, but the guy was on the phone with a customer, but he motioned to go pickup my car around the side. I walked around, didn't see any area to get my car, and finally noticed my car parked outside in a space. I awkwardly walked up to the mechanics in the bay and asked where my keys were, and one guy asked for which car. I pointed to my car, he yelled at some guys and one came out with my keys. Overall, they ordered the right tires and installed them perfectly. No issues with the actual service. The customer service was... odd. Not bad, just not intuitive, or personable. Retrieving your car after service was the strangest part. Is there no system set up for this? Anyway, that's how it went, hope this helps someone else. read more

One star. I brought my car in at 10am because I had a nail in one of my run flat tires. The employee looked at a picture of it, saw the nail, and said it was fixable. They had no appointments open, so he told me to come back at 3pm and that I would be fine driving on it for up to fifty miles until then. I drove less than ten. When I came back at 3pm, another employee by the name of Luis suddenly said the tire was more damaged than they originally thought and needed a full replacement. He even told me that if I had come in earlier, or driven on it less, it probably would have been fine. That was frustrating to hear, since coming back later was exactly what another employee told me to do in the first place. I pointed out that their advice to wait until 3pm was what caused the extra damage, and asked if I could get a discount because of that. He said it was not their fault, it was the tire manufacturer's fault, and that I should take it up with them after buying the new tire. Luis: "Well, if we gave everyone a discount, we'd run out of business" Me: "Aren't you guys a literal Fortune 500 Company" Luis: "What's a Fortnite 500 Company" He said they would have to order a new tire, and that he would call me the next day so I could come in and get it installed. He also mentioned that I could probably get a refund from the tire company and maybe even press charges, and that I should take a picture of the tire once it came off. That call never came. I had to call them twice the following day just to figure out what was going on. When I finally got through the second time, he told me the tire had already arrived, but said I would have to come in another day. I kept pushing back and reminding him that coming in the same day was what had originally been promised to me. After I kept asking, he finally gave in, but made it feel like he was doing me some kind of favor rather than just honoring what he had already told me. I drive for work, so all this back and forth meant missing more work just to deal with this. Once I finally made it in, I had to remind him myself that I needed to take a picture of the tire once it came off, since he had brought that up the day before. When they removed it, I looked at it myself. There were a few small creases on the side, but nothing that looked like it warranted a full replacement. I asked what would have happened if they had just patched it instead. He said I most likely would have been fine, but they did not want me to take the risk. He saw I was annoyed by his response and that I bought an unnecessary new tire, so then he switched gears and tried to scare me into continuing the purchase by saying if I went somewhere else and the tire failed, I could end up damaging someone's car or hurting them, and then they could press charges against me. He was really trying to make the point that I should not go anywhere to fix the tire. I asked for a refund instead. He said it would be a long and arduous process, I called his bluff and told him to go ahead. He pressed one button and said, all done! His spongebob watch went off and he said to himself "Oh boy! 5 PM! Time for din din with the family!" (admittedly wholesome). He then clocked off, removed his costco uniform, put on his youth size 5 Jordan shoe, and left without communicating the status of my car to the rest of his team. I had to ask other employees about my car, and after an hour, I finally got it back. I waited 30 minutes to get my old tire off, and after asking for the refund, waited another hour to receive my car back and get my old tire put back on, which felt more like punishment for not buying the new tire than an actual wait time. After exiting and driving pass Luis in the parking lot trying to trick the next punk into letting him hitch hike a ride home, I drove straight to American Tire Co down the street. They looked at the same tire, said it was fine, and patched it for free in a matter of minutes. Me: "Is it fixable?" American Tire Co: "What? Is what fixable?" Me: "The small nail in the tire" American Tire Co: "Yeah? Why wouldn't it be?" Me: *Clenches fist* "Luiiiissss....." I never go out of my way to one star on Yelp, but this experience was frustrating enough that the employee by the name of Luis at the Costco Burbank Tire Center singlehandedly pulled me out of my hate-reviewing retirement just to leave this one star review for the first time 11 years, and honestly, that's pretty astounding, so great job buddy! read more

Costco may have good prices, but dealing with the service people is a hassle. I purchased four new tires, but they did not tell me that my shocks were leaking when they installed them. The new tires were affected by the shocks one of which required replacement. I had a warranty, but it doesn't seem to cover very much normal road damage. Basically I'll have to buy a new tire, and because I let my membership run out, I'd have to pay $65 extra before they'll even look at it. You get what you pay for. Next time I will work with American Tire Depot. They will match Costco prices and offer so much better service in Burbank. read more

For some reason 1 out of 4 went to NY instead of staying in CA. I dealt with 2 very nice Service Advisers - Luis and Rocky. They were awesome and made the best of a difficult situation. Finally, the tire representative said they were unable to fix the tire, he completely lied and said my tire was damaged from the inside, and I needed to order a new tire. I went to a local tire shop, they patched the tire in 15 minutes. I asked the local shop about the inside of the tire and the technician said it was perfectly fine. I'm not sure why Costco tolerates their tire employees lying and ruining the Costco name. read more

Good news, bad news today. The Michelins I needed were on sale and in-stock. Normally I would be able to purchase them online and schedule an appointment. Unfortunately the tires were not online this week, so out to Burbank I went. Luckily they were not busy this Tuesday morning and they installed them in 1 hr. which is very quick. I left happy. Within a couple of hours, the tire sensor lights went on and I returned to get those installed. Another 2 hrs. for that. Apparently it's one of those things that can happen when getting new tires. I spent 1,800.00 on tires for my truck. I got a call when they came in and I went over to get them installed. They told me it was gonna be three hours so I called on the fourth hour and the guy over the phone told me. that the lug nut was stripped. When I asked if the stud was also stripped, they said no. When I got to Costco to pick up my truck, they had stripped the lug nut and the stud that holds the wheel. When I went to speak to a supervisor, they didn't say much all their ass was but somebody call you and tell you? And I said no, the look in his face was not a good one. So I filled out a form some sort of incident report. But they lied if somebody would've told me hey we stripped your lug nut and your stud. We're sorry, but you can fill a claim. It will take care of it. I would've been OK but the way they treated me was not cool. Now I have to go to tire pros down the street where I should've gotten my tires to begin with, but I was trying to save money so now I have to go there so they can fix what Costco broke and it's probably gonna be a couple of hundred bucks never going back to Costco for tires. read more

Prices are good and these people are nice. But, oh boy, these people are SLOWWWWWW. And unorganized. Shop is clean. We had a 10am appointment and they weren't even open and a line had formed. So even if you had an appointment...a bunch of people get in line ahead of you! It's that bad. Why have an appointment system? What should take about an hour...hour and a half will cost you two and half hours. With an appointment!!! No separate appointment line...one guy handling everything at the desk...and the expression on his face is vacant. If you're gonna spend a day buying stuff at Costco and don't mind burning 3 hours getting your tires changed, then by all means try this place. It's not worth the discount. Made an appointment here after ordering and shipping tires. The upside is that it's mostly cheaper. My only complaint is the wait time and lack of updates. Appointment was for 10:15 but didn't get my car back until 12:30. I actually had to go in and ask for my keys because I saw my car was ready in the parking lot. Don't ever come here. Thought I was getting a deal instead it's been nothing but a hassle. Tires took a week to come in that's fine. But what they don't tell you when they sell you the tires is they won't align the vehicle which it needs. You have to go somewhere else to do that, most places will discount that service and throw it in with the new tires costco doesn't. I go get the alignment done somewhere else just wasting another day, fine. But then get back on the freeway and the car is still shaking. Take it back to the alignment shop and they're telling me costcos crack team of employees didn't balance the wheels correctly. I call them no one answers for 45 minutes and when I get them on the phone they said they could see me in 3 days. Zero responsibility taken for doing poor work just lazy. I said no I coming now you didn't do this right and I'm not gonna have my car out of order because of it. I get here and now it's 3hrs to do the job they messed up and when I said I'm stuck here over bad work he just responded I'm stuck here for 8 nice and condescending. I know you're stuck here you work here and clearly don't give a crap about doing a good job or taking care of customers you guys messed up with. This Review is for Costco food court Burbank California.. For the past 30 years as a member I had nothing but good things to talk about for Costco. Unfortunately today's experienced was unexpected customer service. After staying in long line for over 25 minutes to order 2 things before closing time. I was told to go back once again and stay in line to get my rest of the order since it was not available at the time. I was told to go to the corner window as I did and there were so many people waiting in line for their order. I was not going to go in front of people that were waiting to pick up their order. So I had no choice to go back to my original location were I only got one of my order picked up and I asked to see there Manager but unfortunately even she was not any good help at all. She did not explain herself properly nor she apologize for the situation. I asked to speak with general manager and she didn't want them to get involved. As I was talking to the food court manager there was another lady with pizza box in her hand telling me that she was asked to do the same thing. I really hope corporate office will hear about this situation and make sure it doesn't happen again. I had recently gotten my tires done at another Costco but had a bad experience there so I made an appointment online to come here and showed up about 15 minutes prior to my appointment time. I walked in and there was one person who was being helped. After they had finished I let them know about my appointment time and what the issue was-my tire light kept coming on. I was told they'd check it out and it would talk about an hour to and hour and a half and they'd give me a call with any updates and I was out the door after double checking they had the correct phone number. I went shopping, taking my time expecting it to go longer than their time but was pleasantly surprised to get a phone call back pretty quick; I hadn't even finished getting everything. The bad news: one of the tires had a screw in the sidewall. The good news: was that they could file it under the warranty that all tires at Costco have and the price would be minimal. Did I want them to do continue? I showed up with my cart full of groceries, paid less than 20 bucks for a new tire and they even helped me load my stuff into the trunk. On my way to the bank on a gloomy, rainy Tuesday after Christmas and noticed my car was three wheeling for all the wrong reasons. My car was telling me my tire was low so I pulled up to Costco to put some air in it. As I pulled up, my car was telling me I had 1% air in my front tire...wtf!! Unfortunately my tire was shot! Every time I have needed a tire, the wonderful people have come through. I have been here a few times for random flats or torn wheels and they have been able to help. The techs are friendly and I would recommend this place for tires. They have a great warranty policy on tires. They take a while if you don't have an appointment so if you can, plan ahead! read more

Omgooooooodness! Life savers. I called before going. They were a bit hesitant and I don't blame them. I was going 1 hour before closing. I just didn't know where to go. They still said come on in and they would take care of it. Goodness. Jaime and Andrew are the best!!! They were kind when I arrived and treated me wonderful. Although, I couldn't get it fixed (because the tire had a patch and we couldn't patch it again - not their fault). They were transparent and let me know why they couldn't put another patch for my safety. I appreciate their honesty and concern for sure! Thank you so so so much! He finally gives them to me and doesn't even know where the fuck it was parked. He just pointed his finger and gave no clear direction. When I went to get into my car, I found they had partially broken the handle on my driver's side door. COSTCO might be a great place to BUY tires (good prices)--but it turns out to be a terrible place to try and get them SERVICED. The left-rear tire picked up a nail at some point and the mechanic suggested taking it back to where we bought it to take advantag of the Road Hazzard warranty. Good idea. They recommend making an appointment. Fine. THE SOONEST ONE AVAILABLE WAS 6 DAYS OUT. My appt was at 2:45pm. It took an HOUR AND A HALF to GET to my car. Another THIRTY MINUTES to mount the new tire. The nail had damaged the sidewall, so they replaced the tire. They pro-rated the replacement cost. So my $119 tire (in 2019) ended up costing me (with inflation) $109 to replace. They also only ever had ONE guy manning the service desk--often with 4 or 5 people waiting. The whole event took FOUR HOURS, door-to-door. My advice? Go to WESTERN TIRE and pay a little extra for your tires up front. read more

I picked up the car and left i was in a rush later same night i noticed the damage caused to my car and unreported to me by the tire center. Be very careful take pictures of your car before and after and dont trust to leave your car here your better off paying more money and getting a rush job and having them crash your car. If I can give 0 stars I would. I made an appointment and explicitly had said that I had a Tesla multiple times. The guy on the phone that said it they said can work on it. NEVER asked what tires, I had, nor asked if I had stock or Costco tires. I was able to have Tesla tow my car to this Costco Tire location. The guy that would be working on it said they couldn't work on it because of the foam on the tire because it would be "bad" for their tools. Ridiculously unprofessional, and they literally waited 3 days and me with a tow truck for them to tell me they can't work on it. I'll be complaining more to corporate and this is unacceptable, and a complete waste of mine, the tow truck driver, and Tesla tire service's time. read more

Always "completely slammed" seems like bullshit to me. I have come in a few times at 5/6 and each time they tell me they cannot fit me in they are "completely slammed". If this is the policy why not just tell people they stop accepting customers at a certain time. Sure the tire center is technically open till 8:30. But they have never accepted or done service to anyone who has brought they car in past 5. BULLSHIT SERVICE IF YOU ASK ME. Every single time I have brought my car in - it has either been we "completely slammed" or I have to wait 2+ hours for a tire rotation. I'd highly recommend not getting tires from here- it's a complete lie that they will service those tires... i guess they will do tire rotation and service if you like waiting 2+ hours. The technicians don't give a fuck either - they aren't exactly incentivized to do quality work given the volume of business that comes in... This place is terrible! read more

Went in on Sat afternoon to check about an appt and they made me one for Sun at 2pm. Came on Sunday, checked in and got a number to put on top of my car, and relaxed on the bench in the tire center. Took about 1.5 hrs from appointment time. One time needed to be replaced (Valvoline oil change who were supposed to do a tire check had never said anything) and another tire had a nail in it, which was patched. Great value and I was able to use the Exec refund check to pay for part of it. Free air refill during operation hours in two spaces near the tire center. read more

I am ashamed to admit I was clueless trying to figure out what number to enter for my tire pressure. Not only did this sweet man show me what needed to be done he filled all 4 of my tires for me! Costco had the best tires for the best price. I shopped around and this was by far the best. I made an appointment for the tire change. They took my car on time and were finished within an hour and a half. I shopped at Costco in the meantime, sampling everything they were offering (sadly) ... it was delicious! I've usually had positive experiences at Costco Tire Centers and have looked to them as a go-to for all things tires. Today I visited Burbank's Costco Tire shop in search of replacement tires for my Wife's car. Let's just say that my wife drives like a bat out of hell, in a Prius of all things, and I noticed some uneven wear. Both of us have been pretty broke as of late, so we sadly had to put off anything to do with tires. So I finally came in ready to go, cash in hand. I met with Mo, who came out from the back to help. He then met me outside to look at the car and told me that new tires weren't needed since there was still sufficient tread, which I really appreciated hearing. He demonstrated how the arrows on the side wall will help reveal when they need to be changed. I knew my wife's car still needed a wheel alignment, and was referred to a shop in North Hollywood on Sherman Way. Since I didn't feel like taking my Wife's car clear out there, I thought I'd check around for shops nearby. The shop "American Tire Depot" on Burbank Blvd confirmed they do alignments and had a special that day for $79. So I popped around the corner to visit. When I got the appraisal, the shop tech showed me how my tires were badly worn (photo attached). The front tires were unevenly bald and cracking. The two rear tires were fine. So I opted to buy 2 new tires at American Tire Depot with an alignment. I was actually pretty rattled that Costco would send me away leaving me to believe my wife and child would be safe in this car's condition. I do appreciate a person not aiming to hard sell me. But I appreciate more of a thorough check to my concerns. I'd strongly caution anyone from going to the Burbank Costco Tire Center for advice as I've verbally been told by friends of many other oversights this shop has made. Visit American Tire Depot around the corner or Western Tire down Victory. They both seem to know their stuff. read more
