My husband recently found this place because they are open on Sundays, and they've become our go-to for oil changes and basic car maintenance. Greg is always professional, friendly, honest, and fair. He will tell us exactly what he recommends for our cars right now and what can wait... I never get the impression that he tries to squeeze any profits. I recently purchased 4 new tires here and they gave me an even better sale deal than I was aware of coming in. They've told me about upcoming tire sales in advance, too. Their oil changes do cost a little more than Walmart or Jiffy Lube, but I trust them more and they seem to really pay attention to details with my car and never try to upsell anything I don't need. I'd highly recommend coming here. It's a chain but has a friendly small-town feel. You can drop off your car and walk around to the cute Magnolia shops while you wait! This is my new local tire shop! They price match the bigger chains, if they don't have things in stock they can get in a day. They oil changed my G Wagon on a Sunday, when everywhere else is closed, super friendly guys and didn't charge the extra "fancy car" fees other places do. Highly recommend this shop. My car broke down on the highway back in March. After waiting an insane 4hrs for a tow truck, we finally go to this Mountain View location. They had it for the second half of the day. Greg called me to tell me that the spark plugs needed replacing but the codes still kept popping up when they drove it and I would need to take it to the dealer for further diagnostics. He said he wouldn't charge me for labor which, felt like a really nice gesture. I wasn't really thinking when I went to pick my car up. It had been a long and stressful day, and my car still wasn't fixed, so I just paid and left. But when I got home the price really settled and I was super confused how spark plugs and no labor could be $330...so I called back the next day and asked and was told they put on spark plugs that were $90/ea....which, seems crazy, and I feel like should have been asked (as spark plugs are like $10-20 generally) if I wanted crazy-expensive spark plugs. I was annoyed but he just kept saying how he didn't charge labor. The next day or maybe later that day, I get a call from the woman who was working the front desk. She asked for my address. I asked her why she wanted my address and she said that Greg was going to mail me a partial refund. I hung up thinking, "wow, ok. That's great." I never got any refund (or anything else for that matter) mailed to me. Never had a place get me mad a *second* time by pretending to make up for the first incident. The absolute WORST oil change experience. Made an appointment, came in, and was told I'd wait 4 hours. Oil changes take 20 minutes! They said if I'd called to book, it'd be under 2 hours (still ridiculous). Came back a second time--it's now been 4 hours, and they haven't started on my car. They also told the woman behind me her brakes would take just 2 hours after they can't even perform an oil change in less than 4 hours. This place is an absolute joke. I'm pretty disappointed with them. I came to get a simple oil change. They said it'll be done in about 1.5 hours. I came back after 1.5 and it wasn't done and in total I waited 3.5 hours! Also I brought a coupon thinking that I would only spend the amount of the Groupon. They said the oil for it would not work and added $96 to the oil change. I got over it but what really upset me was waiting so long for my oil change. read more

Had an amazing experience at Mountain View. Our 2021 Escalade needed new tires, and so brought it Mountain View. Keep in mind this is about 2 weeks after visiting a Cadillac dealership for a warranty suspension problem which was addressed. Upon Mountain View's general inspection before doing any work, they showed me that the heat shields were bent and the washer to the front axle was bent!! I couldn't believe they caught this and that the stealership caused this during their suspension work. I've had 6 different cars taken care of by the crew at Burbank over the years and now several of my family/relatives do now as well. I received excellent customer service on my ancient car today. My car is 21 years old but only has 80K miles so I plan on keeping it. The dreaded "check engine light" came on and I drove straight to Mountain View without an appointment. They quickly diagnosed the problem as a broken fuel cap. They needed to keep the car overnight to get the part. They also (at my direction) changed out the battery, and alerted me to the fact that my tires were also ancient. The tires were over 10 years old!! They gave me a very fair deal on 4 new tires. I had the car at another car service site 2 months ago, and they mentioned the need to rotate the tires but said NOTHING about the need to change them, which is why I completely trust the Mountain View technicians. First time and last time. The employees are misinformed about their scheduling policy. I was told a week prior to my appointment that I would wait 2 hours for an oil change but the day of my appointment they changed it to 4 hours. Furthermore, they were bothered about my Groupon deal stating that my $39.99 deal was no longer available and the service is now $49.99. I have never had any issues using my Groupon with any other business besides this one. The employee stated he will adjust the price to what I originally paid BUT I am "costing" the business $10. I took my business elsewhere due to the lack of professionalism and the choice of words used by this establishment. read more

I recently brought my car here to get all tires aligned and rotated. Efrain is a nice guy and was the one that helped me. Brought it about 8:45 AM and picked it up around 11:15 AM. Why 2 Stars? I noticed when I went to pick up my car that the engine was left on, doors locked and my car left in parking lot by their mechanic. Efrain confirmed and apologized. I hope management ensures mechanics at this establishment pay more attention to details to avoid situations like this in the future. Leaving my car's engine on (who knows for how long) on a hot day in their parking lot does not inspire trust. As a matter of fact, I never had this happen with any other auto shop since I have owned a car. I have been a long time client. Had good experiences in the past. However, I am not sure if I will come back after this last experience. read more

Do not bother coming into this shop if you are a woman. The guy at the front desk was a rude and not helpful. I came in because the engine oil light on my car turned on. I made an appointment at this shop because they had done my oil change in September 2024. (During the oil change visit the same employee was rude and told me I needed new tires and wanted to charge $74.27 to change my rear brake light. Auto Zone on Buena Vista helped me with the break light bulb $17 and replaced it for free.) The employee at Mountain View took my keys went to look at my car, came back and said I needed new tires. Unbelievable! Trying to sell me new tires again. I reminded him that I came in because the check engine oil light was on. I told him they took care of my last oil change and he quickly replied you need a new oil change. Then he said I should get a diagnostic test for $100. I asked for my keys and left. I went to another shop and they found that Mountain View Tire never reset my oil change light when they completed the oil change in September. They reset the light at no charge, they did not recommend a new oil change because the oil level was normal, I had only driven 1,500 miles since my last oil change and still have time before my next service. First off: Efrain is finally gone. Thank goodness!!! Was he nice? Um, sure, sort of but every single time my mother, my husband or I needed any work and spoke to him he consistently overcharged us - even when two separate employees quoted the same lower price. He automatically added extras we didn't need or request which were removed after we noticed them. Because of this we stayed away unless we absolutely needed to and tried to speak to other people (which was hard bc Efrain was always around). My mom went to get an oil change today and it was 200 dollars cheaper than when Efrain took the car in. Woof. Aside from this, the 5 stars are for good customer service from Jeff and Yuliana, reliably good work and fair prices. We've been coming here for over 10 years and we will definitely feel comfortable coming here more often again. read more
