I've had 2 tires replaced here in the last year. Both times were successful. I had absolutely no issues. It's a simple thing however, not overly complicated to change the tire. But they were quick both times, and didn't leave me any negative surprises when I got my car back. The price for the tire was standard, it's basically the same price anywhere I've checked, so I don't feel overcharged. If you have to wait longer than I did, you may want to leave and come back or just be prepared that their little waiting area is sort of uncomfortable. I thought it was being renovated back in March but it looks sorta forgotten now by October. This wasn't an issue for me though. read more

You can tell when someone cares about what they do goes out of their way for their customers very patient with people that don't understand cars, which is me. Then we have Alexis who is just as helpful and truly cares about their craft. I have a 2020 car with 84,000 miles and these gentlemen help me make it feel like it's brand new driving it. I made an appointment on their website. I was the only one sitting in the waiting room. It took them 45 minutes to bring my car inside the shop. If they were behind the schedule, I wish they could update their scheduling on their website so I could just come later. When making the appointment, they also asked what kind of service. I scheduled Pennzoil High Mileage oil change. But when I check-out, the charge was cheaper? It turned out they used the Semi-Synthetic oil. I wish the staff would double confirm when I check-in. I had a small bump at the Burbank store. HOWEVER, after a little time they figured everything out and handled the situation correctly and fair. One compliment - they worked on my car that is very difficult to get to the filter, when I returned the manager stated "we had to take the reservoir and a hose off to get to the filter, but no problem the job is done". What a terrible day at pep boys on Olive burbank . They make me waiting 4 hours when Paulette told me that I have to wait 2 more hours after they damage my car from a previous job. They changed the tensioner belt after I left on September 20 with car a piece of plastic under the car fall out and engine light came on. The worker a white guy was pretend that he was working in my after 4 hours waiting they told me they don't have anyone to do the service. I had a feeling that it was discrimination about my age, skin color and accent.A Manager told me I don't have to pay anything which they didn't do any job. What a jokers!. I'm a little traumatized since my last visit here. And I was hesitant to leave a review but coming to this location was a mistake. About a year ago, I came in for an oil change and everything was done according to them. I paid and left. After about 3 weeks after the "oil change", my engine died on me in the middle of the freeway. I then had to get my car towed to the nearest mechanic and they take a look and give me the news that there is no oil in my engine. Not 1 drop. On top of that, the engine was completely gone, not fixable, with other electronic issues that came from the engine not working. There were no leaks and no stains in my garage at least pointing out all that oil leaked out. After ruling out oil leaks or anything broken to cause all that oil to mysteriously disappear, the mechanics theory was that the oil was taken out at this location...but no oil was put in. So I was driving clueless for three weeks. That careless mistake caused my car to become completely useless. My car was about 5 years old and took care of oil changes an and maintenance. Paying the $65 was not worth it. I now rather pay $120 at another oil change shop and I can see what they are doing and they show me everything and at least I have peace of mind. I don't trust this place anymore or even pepboys. I'm truly disappointed. I even called them up to tell them what happened and there was no sign of accountability. read more

I have been taking my car here for years but the last few times have been just terrible with customer service and service in general. I took my car in mid October for an oil change and asked that the tires be rotated as well. The girl helping me out wasn't the most customer service oriented and when I picked up my car the tires had not been rotated. Fast forward 4 weeks later I had the check oil light come on which is strange considering I just had the oil changed and as always I get synthetic which allows for more mileage. I took my car back to have this checked and Alexis was rude and dismissive stating that because it's an older car it's to be expected. I work from home and drive approximately 10-15 miles per week max. No matter how old, the oil should not be an issue a month after getting it changed. Additionally, the oil change says it comes with a courtesy vehicle inspection which was also not done because when I took it to someone else, they took care of checking that and letting me know I was low on things that should have been done at the inspection. Last week, I had a 1 p.m. appointment for an oil change at the Burbank location on Olive Ave. I waited two hours before I asked for my keys back (and I've spent a lot of money there in the last five years). When I messaged them on FB, I was informed that they would need to 'open a case'. For the inconvenience, I asked for a complimentary oil change to go to another location as I will never go back to this one. I just got a call and the 'professional' on the phone said "No, I'm not gonna give you a free oil change. We're understaffed at that location. I can reschedule you an appointment at a different location, but I'm not going to give you a free oil change." Guess what, they've been understaffed at this location for five years ...
