I brought my car in two days ago because one of the tires keeps losing pressure. They told me they didn't have time to look at it that day, so I scheduled an appointment for today at 5:30 PM. I showed up today at my scheduled appointment time, only to be told that they were too busy and that having an appointment doesn't mean they will actually take your car in at that time. Then what is the point of offering appointments? I specifically came back at the time Pep Boys scheduled for me because they couldn't help me two days earlier. If you don't have the capacity to service a vehicle at the scheduled time, don't give the customer an appointment. A complete waste of my time and a very frustrating way to treat customers. I've had 2 tires replaced here in the last year. Both times were successful. I had absolutely no issues. It's a simple thing however, not overly complicated to change the tire. But they were quick both times, and didn't leave me any negative surprises when I got my car back. The price for the tire was standard, it's basically the same price anywhere I've checked, so I don't feel overcharged. If you have to wait longer than I did, you may want to leave and come back or just be prepared that their little waiting area is sort of uncomfortable. I made an appointment on their website. I was the only one sitting in the waiting room. It took them 45 minutes to bring my car inside the shop. If they were behind the schedule, I wish they could update their scheduling on their website so I could just come later. When making the appointment, they also asked what kind of service. I scheduled Pennzoil High Mileage oil change. But when I check-out, the charge was cheaper? It turned out they used the Semi-Synthetic oil. I wish the staff would double confirm when I check-in. I was visiting Burbank to see a TV show taping last week when my car broke down. I called this location and spoke to Jake who was incredibly kind and helpful. I brought my car in and they were able to identify the problem right away. They allowed my sister and I to wait comfortably out of the rain in their lobby and replaced my car battery very quickly. When Jake discovered that we had missed our tv taping, he empathized with us and gave us all sorts of recommendations regarding how we could still enjoy our visit to Burbank. This extra touch of kindness really cheered us up! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it was $250 for a battery replacement, which I feel is steep!!!
