They scheduled an appointment for me fairly quickly and on appointment day, I had some other errands to run so I wanted to stop by early to drop off my car. They said it was no problem at all and I swung by, dropped off my car with the incredibly friendly Tony, and received a phone call about 90 minutes later informing me my car was ready. I was able to order my 4 tires and had the team install and correct the alignment on my car (about $110 for an alignment). This is a small shop on a busy corner, so note that as you approach the location. I had an 8am appointment for a flat tire assessment and was seen right away. Everyone was friendly considering they all worked overtime the day before (a customer came in shortly after me who was there the day before and talking to the crew). They showed me my flat and the problem with it. It did need to be replaced (which I thought it would, so I did some shopping on their website). I wanted to keep it balanced, so I was going to buy 2 tires, but they had a sale to buy 2, get 2 free, so I went with that. I did get upsold on the tires by $16/tire, but they explained why they recommended these tires over the ones I wanted and longevity wise, it made sense, plus they were in stock at the shop that day. Considering the other tire locations around my house, they had the best prices from the tires to the labor, so overall, I didn't mind the charges for this tire change because I still saved over $100 from all the other locations I looked at. Being on a busy corner, there's a few restaurants and shopping areas in walking distance if you don't want to wait in their waiting room. The gentleman at the front desk who handled my tire sale and checkout was actually great -- friendly, professional, and a much better experience overall. Unfortunately, the first employee I encountered, a gentleman dressed in all black who I believe may have been a manager or higher-up, had a very curt and dismissive attitude from the start. He repeatedly talked over me, seemed irritated during basic interaction, and overall lacked professionalism/customer service skills. I understand shops get busy and stressful, but there's still a way to speak to customers respectfully. The difference in attitude between employees was very noticeable. The tires come with a lifetime rotation and flat repair with your purchase. I ran over a screw 4 days after my purchase. Tony and Jason were very helpful and were able to fit me into the schedule. I dropped off my car around 2pm. The car war ready to pick it up at 5:30 with my tire repaired. They showed me the drywall screw that created my flat. Avoid this place at all costs. I made an appointment for Sunday morning at 9:30. When I arrived, I noticed several customers waiting. I asked the employee Jason if they are running on time. He advised that they only have one mechanic available. I reminded him I have an appointment and needed to be seen on time. He told me that the call center should never have scheduled my appointment because they don't take appointments on Sundays. Quite frankly, that's not my problem. I arrived on time and should have been seen on time. Long story short, I waited 40 minutes before the mechanic could begin my oil change and tire rotation. I reminded Jason they needed to make sure they reset the service and low tire pressure lights. He said that would be done. When the mechanic supposedly completed the work, he stated he did reset all the warning lights. However, it is now more than 24 hours since I brought my car in. The service B light is still active as is the tire pressure light. When I called Jason back to advise him, he essentially said the mechanic probably forgot since i was in such a rush to get out of there. I'm sorry, but don't blame the customer for work the mechanic failed to do. I had an appointment and the appointment should have been honored, otherwise what is the point of making an appointment if all walk in customers are seen before customers with appointments. Quite honestly, I don't even feel comfortable that the service was done. Now, the only way I can have the service lights reset is to come back to this same location, which is 20+ miles from where I live. This is so inconvenient and I will never come back here again. A simple apology for running late and for failing to reset the lights would have been much appreciated. Blaming the customer for simply wanting appointment times to be honored is a horrible business practice. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at Discount Tire & Service Center today. I stopped by around 4:45 PM because my back tire was going flat and I could clearly see a nail in it. They close at 6:00 PM, so I expected at least some willingness to help or assess the situation. Instead, the gentleman I spoke with was extremely rude and dismissive. He immediately told me they could not help me and that I would have to come back the next morning--simply because they were "about to close." What makes this even more frustrating is that I am a loyal customer who has purchased all of my tires from them with warranty. Unfortunately, that seemed to mean nothing in this situation. I was completely brushed off and left feeling unsafe and unvalued as a customer. I ended up leaving and going down the street to American Tire Depot, and the difference was night and day. They were kind, professional, and willing to help. They told me it would take about an hour, but they took me in without hesitation. Not only did they patch my tire--they didn't charge me at all. The price was acceptable, the service quick, professional and efficient...until I was driving later that night, and all my "tire pressure is low" sensors kicked on. I called the next day, they told me to come in, and they worked some computer trickery and two minutes later it was fixed. Overall I think they're good, I just wonder if it's possible to implement a step so the sensors never go off when you get new tires, because driving back on a busy Saturday to a business with a parking lot the size of a Post-It is an inconvenience. Purchased my tires here about 2 years ago and I am so happy that I did. Unfortunately, I am always finding nails in my tires so I come here way more often than the average person but the staff has always been so helpful. We are usually helped by Tony or Oscar and they are great to work with! On top of how busy they get, especially at opening, they manage to be efficient, friendly, and honest about their recommendations. I am so grateful especially since most shops will try to up sell anything and everything which is a major red flag, but that will not happen here. There are so many perks to purchasing your tires from here as some services are included at any time such as the tire rotation I came in for recently.
